deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the remnant whom the Lord
shall call. Joel 2:32
"THE GLORIOUS PROCLAMATION.
Sin finds a nest in the carnal nature,
but it hides there as a thief.
The
blessing proclaimed in our text is precious—"Whoever shall call on the
name of the Lord shall be delivered,".... Salvation is a
very comprehensive blessing.
It is, in fact, a constellation of
favors—a mass of mercies condensed into a word.
It is a gift .... It is a diamond with many facets.
The results of sin are not to be thought of without
trembling.
We preach salvation from the
unutterable woe which follows on the heels of sin.
