Notice.......

Notice....It wasn't the qualifications, or education level of Joshua, that God pointed to...
Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh,
set a man over the congregation,
...that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
And the LORD said unto Moses,

Take thee Joshua the son of Nun,
a man in whom is the spirit,
and lay thine hand upon him;

SDA Issues - Barnhouse Big 3

In the 1950's &60's, the Church leadership opened a door that has split the church down to today, between
Barnhouse-to whom some church
leaders pandered to
traditional & so-called "progressive" Adventists.

It was the attempt to placate evangelical Christians who thought negatively of Adventism--especially pastor Donald Barnhouse who had a radio show at the time.
They came up with "Questions on Doctrines" as a way to answer the evangelicals--but in the process began a slight deviation from some Biblical doctrines of Adventism.
Barnhouse wrote a piece where he wrote - "In conclusion, I should like to say that we are delighted to do justice to a much-maligned group of sincere believers, and in our minds and hearts take them out of the group of utter heretics like the Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and Christian Scientists, to acknowledge them as redeemed brethren and members of the Body of Christ. It is our sincere prayer that they may be led to consider further the points on which they are so widely divergent from the rest of the Body of Christ..."

Also in the same piece he listed his 3 main problems with Adventism:
"To sum up, I would say that the differences between other evangelicals and the Seventh-day Adventist position are three:
(1)    The unimportant and almost naive doctrine of the "investigative judgment."

(2)    The more serious doctrine of Sabbath-keeping, which is not sufficient to bar Seventh-day Adventists from the fellowship of true Christians but which makes such fellowship very difficult because of the overtones of legalism that has a tendency to gnaw at the roots of the truth of sovereign grace to unworthy sinners; and

(3)    Finally, the most serious difference, to me, is their belief in conditional immortality (i.e., soul-sleeping and the anniliilation of the lost). The tact that they can name the names of famous Christian theologians or thinkers who have believed this error is no justification for our believing it, since it so thoroughly contradicts the historic biblical position." Donald G. Barnhouse

RESPONSE to his 3 complaints:
1) The Investigative Judgment is the only view of the Judgment that makes sense-or is Biblical. For how many of you out there know that today many, if not most, Christians no longer believe in a Judgment at all - OR - believe in only one phase after the 2 Advent. A Judgment that to many is simply symbolic by passing before the Great White Throne to show to all why you were saved or lost. Those views of the Judgment are neither Biblical nor logical.
But more to the point--to simplify the Sanctuary Doctrine (Investigative Judgment) is to point out that the symbolic altar of sacrifice met (& ended) at the Cross - the real sacrifice. And just like there was a real day of atonement (Judgment) there too is a literal Judgment, the Investigative phase naturally coming first, before the 2nd Advent.

2) Very simple response---IF Sabbath keeping is legalism...so is keeping the other 9 Commandments. So, feel free to steal, commit adultery, etc....just following the logic here of point number 2 of Mr. Barnhouse. .... Q: What is it about that 4th Commandment (Sabbath) that really irritates Christians in ways that the other 9 of God's Law doesn't?

3) Job tells us man is MORTAL.
Paul tells us ONLY God has IMMORTALITY.
Between those 2 pillars of the state of the dead lies soul sleep until the resurrection.
From Genesis--
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden,
Genesis 3:22,23
to Revelation --
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power,..But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
Revelation 20:6,5
& the pages of Scripture in between confirm the same.
--Old Testament Example--
....for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished;
Ecclesiastes 9:4-6
--New Testament Example --
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
For David is not ascended into the heavens:
Acts 13:36/2:29,34

In closing, as some church leaders were pandering to Mr. Barnhouse in the 50's, seeking his approval, let's look at some of his beliefs.....:this is one of his that I have to strongly disagree with....

"In reviewing Mayan Indian society, for example, he admitted that “there were human sacrifices,” but immediately insisted that “the primitive religion of the Mayans was rather pure and ethical.”
The editor visits Mexico’s Mayan ruins,” Eternity, May 1956, p. 7. Barnhouse, D.G.,/ATTAC

UN: Ebola cases could eventually reach 20,000

"The Ebola epidemic in West Africa could infect over 20,000 people and spread to more countries, the U.N. health agency said on Thursday, warning that an international effort costing almost half a billion dollars is needed to overcome the outbreak.

Nigeria reported that a doctor indirectly linked to the Liberian-American who brought the disease to the country had died of Ebola in Port Harcourt, Africa's largest energy hub.
In Britain, drug maker GlaxoSmithKline said an experimental Ebola vaccine is being fast-tracked into human studies and it plans to produce up to 10,000 doses for emergency deployment if the results are good.
"This is a global health security issue," WHO's Assistant Director-General Dr Bruce Aylward told reporters in Geneva.
Aylward said tackling the epidemic would need thousands of local staff and 750 international experts. "It is a big operation. We are talking (about) well over 12,000 people operating over multiple geographies and high-risk circumstances. It is an expensive operation," he said." FOX

Unusual respiratory virus strikes metro kids

"KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An unusual respiratory virus is striking children in the metro in big numbers. Children’s Mercy Hospital is hospitalizing 20 to 30 kids a day with the virus.
This one can cause severe breathing trouble. Children’s Mercy has seen more than 300 cases in recent days in kids of all ages.
“To be at winter census is quite unusual in August obviously. To see a virus we’ve not seen before is unusual, too,” said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson....
“The difficulty breathing is a very obvious tip-off sign they need to come into the hospital,” said Dr. Jackson.

Health Note - Good 4 the Skin

Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health,
3 John 1:2

"There are various foods that help to make your skin naturally beautiful and healthy. But did you know that experts are now saying consuming these foods raw can be more beneficial for your skin?
A few of such foods are:
1. Citrus and berries. Vitamin C, abundantly found in citrus fruits, is a powerful antioxidant that increases the formation of collagen for promoting supple and soft skin. Berries are crammed with antioxidants that slow the process of aging. Moreover, the fiber contained in berries helps to eradicate harmful toxins out of the body before they cause skin disorders such as acne and zits. So, be sure to include at least one serving of fresh citrus and berries daily to achieve gorgeous skin.
2. Pistachios and walnuts. Pistachios and walnuts are loaded with vitamins B and E, which are known to protect the skin from cell damage. Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that works by destroying the free radicals that accelerate skin aging. On the other hand, vitamin B enhances blood circulation and offers a youthful and radiant glow to the skin.
Experts suggest consuming pistachios and walnuts along with fruits in order to slow down the process of
digestion and the breakdown of sugar.
3. Spinach and kale. Spinach and kale are green leafy vegetables that are rich in phytonutrients. They provide extra protection to the skin from the damaging effects of the sun's rays and keep the skin firm and smooth. Spinach is especially healthy since it is composed of nutrients such as lutein and beta-carotene, which have been found to increase the skin's elasticity. It is suggested that consuming at least three cups of kale or spinach per week can do wonders for your skin. You can also consider mixing them together and relish the goodness of this delicious salad for beautiful skin and a healthy body.
4. Apples. Apples are another good source of vitamin C that works to increase the formation of collagen. The copper present in apples assists in the formation of melanin, which is a natural pigment found in the skin and works to protect the skin from the harmful effects of sun rays. You may consider adding chopped apples to a cup of yogurt or salad.
5. Almond milk. Another effective tip for increasing the natural glow of your skin is almond milk. It is rich in minerals such as manganese and copper. Copper is popularly known to boost the formation of collagen, and manganese has properties to protect the skin from damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. You may drink almond milk as you would regular milk. It can also be used with cereal and blended with nutritious fruits to prepare a nourishing and scrumptious smoothie."

IN the NEWS - Virus of Evil spreading...

The Virus of Evil, known as ISIS, is spreading...
It is out of the heart that evil thoughts come,
as well as murder,
Matthew 15:19 ISV

Into INDONESIA...
"In places across Indonesia, small collections of political Islamists have “openly pledged their allegiance” to the extremist terrorist group, the Islamic State (IS). One of those who have voiced their support is Abu Bakar Bashir, the founder of the extremist Indonesian terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) responsible for the deadly bombings during the 2000s, including the Bali nightclub bombing in 2002, the Marriott bombing in 2003, the Australian Embassy bombing in 2004, the Bali II bombing in 2005, and the Jakarta hotel bombings in 2009.
Into the Philippines...
Similar to Indonesia, if members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), a Philippine-based Al Qaeda offshoot terrorist group, traveled to Syria or Iraq to fight and returned home, the MILF could be revitalized. Despite a March 2014 agreement ending 45 years of conflict between the Philippine government and the MILF, peace is tenuous. Rogue MILF troops and Islamist militant groups continue to threaten to reignite religious and separatist tensions." Breitbart
Into India...
"Sources said there were inputs of jihadists from India fighting in both Iraq and Syria and some of these would eventually return. They would then become the link between the Middle East outfits and the Indian subcontinent. That is a time, sources said, India needs to prepare for. Already, the outfit is being touted as the most efficient, organized, dangerous and ambitious terror outfit in the world.
All global jihad will have India in its crosshairs." TheTimesOfIndia

"ISIS speaks the language of Sunni supremacy,
and it is this that appeals to some young Indian Muslims.
A photograph has been doing the rounds of the Internet of a large group of young Tamil Muslims clad in black ISIS t-shirts. On the Internet it is being brandished by Hindu nationalists as justification for their narrow parochialism, but it should worry every citizen of India. Tamils have nothing to do with Iraq or Syria. Then why this adherence to ISIS over Al-Qaeda, indeed over the jihad in Kashmir?
The politically savvy and militarily capable self-named Caliph of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has astutely positioned his struggle as one against not the West but against Shia overreach. While many have characterised his ideology as pan-Islamist, it is in fact pan-Sunni. He seeks to create a Sunni state stretching across West Asia and the subcontinent.
Sunnis are about 85% of India’s Muslim population. The ISIS t-shirts being worn by those young men in Tamil Nadu are not a reaction to Hindutva fundamentalism or Western political aggressions. They are a means of asserting Sunni pride." Scrollin

Creation Moment 8/31/2014 - Blue Lobster

"A rare blue lobster caught off the coast of Maine has been spared the boiling pot for a new home. "Skyler"
is the newest attraction at the Maine State Aquarium in Boothbay Harbor. A Maine teenager and her father landed the one-in-two-million catch last weekend.
The blue color is the result of a rare genetic mutation that causes the lobster to produce an excessive amount of a particular protein." NBC
.....which the waters brought forth abundantly,
after their kind,
Genesis 1:21

This blue lobster, the extremely rare result of a genetic mutation, is an example of how things change but stay the same.
All this mutation is doing, is apparently not controlling something that needs controlling, so it produces an "excessive amount of a particular protein" which already exists.
We have built into the genetic code, the genetic ability for variation as well as mutations like this that contribute as well. But this isn't macro-evolution. Notice the lobster stayed a lobster--just blue.

Allah as pagan deity

1) Allah the pre-muslim pagan deity:
"Allah" was known to pre-Islamic Arabia as it was one of the Meccan deities. Mohammed's father (Abd-allah), for example, had Allah as part of his name.

Wellhausen also viewed "Allah (al-ilah, the god)" to be "a form of abstraction" originating from Mecca's local gods, and other scholars such as Frederick Victor Winnett also mention Allah and Allat to have roots in Moon and Sun deities.

"Allah [al-ilah] himself was ancient - a thousand years before Mohammed the Persians wrote 'Allah is exalted' - but he was only one of many deities." ..."The god Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the Moon God, but early in Arabian history the name became a general term for god, ....... under Mohammed's tutelage, the relatively anonymous Ilah became Al-Ilah, The God, or Allâh, the Supreme Being."

"The oldest name for God used in the Semitic world consists of but two letters, the consonant 'l' preceded by a smooth breathing, which was pronounced 'Il' in ancient Babylonia, 'El' in ancient Israel. The relation of this name, which in Babylonia and Assyria became a generic term simply meaning ‘god’, to the Arabian Ilah familiar to us in the form Allah, which is compounded of al, the definite article, and Ilah by eliding the vowel ‘i’, is not clear. Some scholars trace the name to the South Arabian Ilah, a title of the Moon god, but this is a matter of antiquarian interest...it is clear from Nabataean and other inscriptions that Allah meant 'the god'."
In her book, Islam: A Short History, Karen Armstrong asserts
that the Kaaba was at some point dedicated to Hubal,
a Nabatean deity, and contained 360 idols that
probably represented the days of the year.
According to Ibn Isahq,
an early biographer of Muhammad,
the Ka'aba was itself previously addressed as a female deity.
Circumambulation was often performed naked by male pilgrims,
and linked to ancient fertility rites.
By Muhammad's day, the Kaaba was venerated as the shrine of Allah,
the High God. Once a year, tribes from all around the Arabian peninsula,
whether Christian or pagan, would converge on Mecca to perform the Hajj,
marking the widespread conviction that
Allah was the same deity worshiped by monotheists

Then, as mentioned above, there comes the connection of Allah and Hubal the Moon God, which before Islam, was the high god of the Kaaba, and the supreme lunar deity. This connection was made in recent times by a Christian pastor by the name Robert Morey, who claims that the God in Islam is in origin the moon god Hubal. However, Ringgren and Strom had earlier hypothesized that Allah and Hubal may in fact have been identical gods, and Julius Wellhausen considered Hubal to be an ancient name for Allah.

Wellhausen et al's suggestion are thought to be arising because of the prominence of Hubal in the "House of Allah", as is evidenced in an excerpt from historian Ibn Ishaq, which cites Muhammad's grandfather "standing by Hubal praying to Allah". In this regard, W.M. Watts who names Allah as one of many pagan God's of Mecca writes:
"The use of the phrase “the Lord of this House” makes it likely that those Meccans who believed in Allah as a high god – and they may have been numerous – regarded the Ka’ba as his shrine, even though there were images of other gods in it. There are stories in the Sira of pagan Meccans praying to Allah while standing beside the image of Hubal."

Some authors such as Occhigrosso have even gone so far as to maintain that the Black Stone of the Kaaba was connected to the worship of Hubal. And Patricia Crone, professor of Islamic history at Princeton University, while discussing aspects of Arabian litholatry, also notes the connection between Allah and the other pagan gods, and the black stone housed in the Kaabah:
"If we assume that bayt and ka’ba alike originally referred to the Meccan stone rather than the building around it, then the lord of the Meccan house was a pagan Allah worshipped in conjunction with a female consort such as al-’Uzza and/or other “daughters of God.” This would give us a genuinely pagan deity for Quraysh and at the same time explain their devotion to goddesses."

Hofner, F.E.Peters and others have written of "the daughters of Allah" as pre-Islamic deities venerated by Arabia. These daughters are the goddesses named al-lat, al-manat, and al-uzza. These are the same three goddesses that were later mentioned in the infamous Satanic Verses of the Koran (verses 19 and 20 of al-Surat al-Najm). David Bukay and some other writers have stated that these three are indeed the daughters of Allah the Moon-God with the Sun-God.

2) Allah as moon-god Controversy
.......it must be re-emphasized that Islamic groups have called the Moon-God view a "lie", citing the the 37th verse of the Surah al-Fusillat as proof against the Moon-God claim:

"And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship".
Iranian.com
COMMENTARY:
To be fair & objective, if we cut Islam some slack in regards to the moon-god connection, based upon the Koran, we still have evidence that the name Allah was from their Arabian pagan deities.

Then Jacob said unto his household,
and to all that were with him,
Put away the strange gods that are among you,
and be clean, and change your garments:
Genesis 35:2

Apparently the followers of Muhammad didn't follow their ancestor Jacob's advice.
Circumambulation (from Latin circum around + ambulātus to walk)

Pakistani teen survives attempted ‘honour killing’ over love marriage

Woman, 18, shot in face, thrown in canal by her father for marrying against family’s wishes.

"ISLAMABAD—An 18-year-old Pakistani woman “miraculously survived” after being shot and thrown into a canal by her father for marrying against the family’s wishes, police said Saturday, describing the latest in a series of such attacks on women in the Muslim-majority country.
Local police officer Ali Akbar said the teenager’s father, with help from some of his close relatives, attacked her in Hafizabad,....
Akbar said Saba Maqsood was in love with a man from a nearby city and married him last week, but her father Ahmed brought her back to his home, promising she would not be harmed. Akbar said her family members beat her, and the following day Ahmed took her to a deserted area and tried to kill her.
The woman told police her two uncles looked on as her father shot her in the face, put her in a burlap sack and threw her into a canal, Akbar said.
“Saba Maqsood told us that her father and other relatives had assumed that she was dead, but she regained consciousness, opened the sack and came out of the canal,” he said. He said she made her way to a gas station, where she alerted a security guard.
Under Pakistani law, those charged with killing women can see their criminal case dropped if family members of the deceased forgive them or accept so-called “blood money.” TorontoStar.com

GOSPEL Gem: Coming of Elijah

Synergy of Matthew 17:10-13/Mark 11:9-13
And his disciples asked him, saying,
Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
And he answered and told them,
Elias verily cometh first, a
nd restoreth all things;
and how it is written of the Son of man,
that he must suffer many things,
and be set at nought.
But I say unto you,
That Elias is come already,
and they knew him not,
but have done unto him whatsoever they listed.
Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them as it is written of him.
Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Papal Notes - ISIS threatens Little Horn

"A new report claims that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is targeting Pope Francis — a report that the Vatican says is simply not true.
According to Il Tempo, Israeli sources reportedly told the Italian newspaper that the pope is “in the
crosshairs of ISIS.” The report stated that Francis is being targeted because he is “the greatest exponent of the Christian religions” and the “bearer of false truth.”
The Vatican, though, denounced the report.

The Catholic News Agency reports that Italy has issued a nationwide terror alert,......On Friday, Britain raised the terror threat level from substantial to severe, meaning that a terrorist attack is considered highly likely.
The warning comes as President Barack Obama said Thursday during a press conference that the administration has yet to develop a strategy to deal with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria." CBS

SDA Issues - Spectrum plugs McLaren

From Spectrum
Spectrum Magazine, run by anti-Adventist Adventists, has promoted on it's main webpage an upcoming spiritual retreat with emerging church guru Brian McLaren.
Ya know, if E.G.W. were still alive, I could see her writing an entire volume 10 for Testimonies for the Church just on this topic alone.
Why do some have such HARD HEARTS?

A little about Brian McLaren of the Emergent Church:
1) He claims that --
    truth is a shifting thing,
exalts doubt as highly as faith,
rejects the infallible inspiration of Scripture,
    the substitutionary atonement

McLaren’s book A New Kind of Christian won a Christianity Today Award of Merit in

2002
A New Kind of Christianpresents theological liberalism in the guise of a wiser, kinder, gentler type of Christianity called “Postmodern.”

It teaches that the Bible alone should not be our authority,
but that the Bible should be one of many authorities,
such as tradition,
reason,
exemplary people and institutions one has come to trust,
and spiritual experience (pp. 54, 55).

It teaches that it is wrong and Pharisaical to look upon the Bible as
“God’s encyclopedia,
God’s rule book,
God’s answer book” (p. 52).

Gary E. Gilly hit the nail on the head in his review of “A New Kind of Christian” by observing:
“More specifically,
McLaren rejects
     absolute truth,
     authority,
     theology,
     objectivity,
     certainty and
     clarity.
He embraces
   relativism,
   inclusivism,
   deconstructionism,
   stories (to replace truth),
   creative interpretation of Scripture,
   neo-orthodoxy, and
   tolerance.”

It teaches that it is right for Christians to use pagan practices such as the Native American sweat lodge, peace pipe, dance, dream catcher, and smoke (pp. 26, 74-78).
Apparently McLaren thinks that God’s warning, Learn not the way of the heathen,” (Jeremiah 10:2), is no longer in effect.
from HSM

2) McLaren on Homosexuality:

"In my case, I inherited a theology that told me exactly what you said: homosexuality is a sin, so although we should not condemn (i.e. stone them), we must tell people to “go and sin no more.” Believe me, for many years as a pastor I tried to faithfully uphold this position, and sadly, I now feel that I unintentionally damaged many people in doing so. "

So,.....the Words of CHRIST are at odds with your socio-political worldview Mr. McLaren?

3) "Brian’s new book, Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road?:
Christian Identity in a Multi-Faith World, ...In appropriating Christian uniqueness for multi-faith engagement, Brian charts new territory......they will be thoughtfully challenged by Brian’s new, fresh approach."
thePalmerPerspective

As for that Fresh, New Approach of McLaren's -- let Solomon comment-- and there is no new thing under the sun. Ecclesisastes 1:9

4)  "....his latest book Everything Must Change: Jesus, Global Crises, and a Revolution of Hope.
McLaren continues to systematically dismantle doctrine after doctrine. “With no apologies to Martin Luther, John Calvin, or modern evangelicalism, Jesus (in Luke 16:9) does not prescribe hell to those who refuse to accept the message of justification by grace through faith, or to those who are predestined for perdition, or to those who don’t express faith in a favored atonement theory by accepting Jesus as their ‘personal savior.’ Rather, hell—literally or figurative—is for the rich and comfortable who proceed on their way without concern for their poor neighbor day after day.” Challies.com

5) "Brian McLaren’s book A Generous Orthodoxy: ...... The Seven Jesus I Have Known explores seven traditions McLaren has been part of or has investigated and shows the emphases each of them places on Jesus. The seven in question are: Conservative Protestant, Pentecostal, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Liberal Protestant, Anabaptist and Liberation Theology. One has to question how well he understands each of these, especially the Roman Catholic Jesus. He says that he came to know this Jesus through the writings of Flannery O’Connor, Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Romano Guardini and Gabriel Marcel as well as various medieval mystics.
He believes that traditional views of Paul have pitted him against Jesus so that we have “retained Jesus as Savior but promoted the apostle Paul to Lord and Teacher.”

This is consistent with the New Perspective on Paul, a theological view espoused especially by N.T. Wright that is gaining prominence and teaches that the Reformers misunderstood Paul, interpreting his writing through their medieval mindset, rather than through Paul’s own context. This view necessitates radically redefining the doctrine of justification and is, at its core, ecumenism, making light of the differences that have seperated Protestants and Catholics.
In regards to Mary he expresses a realization that his Protestant faith has been impoverished “with its exlusively male focus.” (Page 228) He explains how much we have missed, as Protestants, by failing to see the beauty of the incarnation through Mary."  Challies.com

A WARNING about spectrum:

false teachers among you,

damnable heresies,

P.S.-- IF Spectrum plugs for McLaren, Spectrum might as well promote the esoteric Teal Swan & her authenticity movement called "Emerge"....IF U think I'm

Don't be surprised if one day they do....
They are one step away with McLaren...
being sarcastic just wait....I wouldn't be surprised

Footsteps of Paul: The Blind Days

And he was three days without sight,
and neither did eat nor drink.

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus,
named Ananias;
and to him said the Lord in a vision,
Ananias.
And he said, Behold,
I am here, Lord.
And the Lord said unto him,
Arise,
and go into the street which is called Straight,
and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul,
of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
And hath seen in a vision
a man named Ananias coming in,
and putting his hand on him,
that he might receive his sight.
Then Ananias answered,
Lord, I have heard by many of this man,
how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
But the Lord said unto him,
Go thy way:
for he is a chosen vessel unto me,
to bear my name before the Gentiles,
and kings, and the children of Israel:
For I will shew him how great things
he must suffer for my name's sake.
And Ananias went his way,
and entered into the house;
and putting his hands on him said,
Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus,
that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me,
that thou mightest receive thy sight,
and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales:
and he received sight forthwith,
and arose,
and was baptized.
Acts 9:9-18
"For three days.....These days of soul agony were to him as years. Again and again he recalled, with anguish
of spirit, the part he had taken in the martyrdom of Stephen. During the long hours when Saul was shut in with God alone, he recalled many of the passages of Scripture referring to the first advent of Christ. Carefully he traced down the prophecies, with a memory sharpened by the conviction that had taken possession of his mind. As he reflected on the meaning of these prophecies he was astonished at his former blindness of understanding and at the blindness of the Jews in general, which had led to the rejection of Jesus as the promised Messiah. To his enlightened vision all now seemed plain." Acts of the Apostles p.118,119 E.G.W.

Creation Moment 8/29/2014 - Negative Selection Eroding Darwinism

A fool hath no delight in understanding,
Proverbs 18:4
"For scientists forever banging their crutches against the trough of public funding, any form of criticism represents an alarming turn of events, the more so when it affects their traditional claims to speak with authority on matters of culture, faith and morals. They are right to be alarmed. A great many people have come to regard Darwinism as tedious, illiterate, uninformed and tendentious. Darwin’s theories seem destined to disappear by negative selection, an interesting but rare example of a Darwinian process reaching a sound conclusion."
