ARCHAEOLOGY: Carthage Child Sacrifice

They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons;
they poured out innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was polluted with blood.
Psalm 106:37,38 ESV
Carthage, in modern day Tunisia, at one time boasted a population on 750,000. It was originally founded by
Queen Dido (Elissa) who fled from Tyre in Phoenicia (modern Lebanon).
So in other words, basically from the Canaan area.
It is known that the Canaanites engaged in child sacrifice. And now it has been confirmed that the vile act was also carried out in Carthage-which was founded by these peoples.
Some have thought that the Greeks & Romans accused Carthage of such acts was propaganda. But now it has been shown to be true. Thousands of funeral urns containing infants, most around 2 months of age, have been discovered in the Tophet precinct of Carthage. This was sacred land of the goddess Tanit.
"But when you pull together all the evidence – archaeological, epigraphic and literary – it is overwhelming and, we believe, conclusive: they did kill their children, and on the evidence of the inscriptions, not just as an offering for future favours but fulfilling a promise that had already been made." Creation Moment 1/31/2014 - Bullies

"The outline of the story is now, sadly, a familiar one. Instructor wants to discuss intelligent design (ID). Intolerant atheists throw a fit. College quickly capitulates to the demands of the atheists. Instructor is censored. The scenario played out again this past semester in Amarillo, Texas. I'll give the identities of the parties involved in just a moment, but for now, let's note some twists unique to the situation. According to internal communications, campus administrators feared that disgruntled atheists would stage a "disruption" if the ID class went forward. The atheist leader got so "intense" in arguing for Darwinian evolution over intelligent design that college staff called the police on him, apparently potentially concerned over their own safety. And get this: the intolerant atheists call themselves the "Freethought Oasis." You can't make this stuff up.

Well, here are the actors in this latest censorship play:
The Censored Instructor: Stanley Wilson His Course: "Evolution vs. Intelligent Design" The Textbook: Explore Evolution: The Arguments For and Against Neo-Darwinism The Cowardly College: Amarillo College ("AC") The Intolerant Atheists: Jamie Farren and his "Freethought Oasis" Accessories to the Cancellation of the Class: Texas Freedom Network and National Center for Science EducationWhile there are amusing sides to the case.
Tragically, we live at a time when schools and colleges, far from being calm sanctuaries of learning and discussion, seem beset by violent, disgruntled, disturbed individuals." ENV

IN the NEWS - Orthodox Priests of the Ukraine

".....the protests began when Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych refused to join the European Union. Joining would have led to some wide-sweeping reforms and a new level of freedom. Under pressure from Russia, Yanukovych pulled out of the EU negotiations and put some draconian measures of crowd control in place. This is what the protest is all about.
What’s powerful to me is the willingness of the clergy not to proclaim a side, but to stand alongside all sides as peacemakers. And to make that real by putting their bodies where their prayers are." LauraTruax

IN the NEWS - Broomstick Grammy's?

"Was singer Katy Perry’s performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday “demonic?” That’s how Glenn Beck described it on his radio show Tuesday, saying he wasn’t so much shocked by the performance, but rather shocked that it wasn’t a major topic of conversation on Monday.
“The fire in the circle, her hanging onto the witch’s broom, and the guys with the gigantic horns on their head in the background…” he said with a laugh of disbelief. “I mean, it is — it’s full-fledged witchcraft and
demonic glorification, I think.”
Though Perry was originally a Christian singer, the pop star rejected her childhood faith in a December interview with Marie Claire. She said she still has a “deep connection with God,” but no longer identifies as Christian, nor does she believe in “an old man sitting on a throne.”
Beck said that after Perry’s performance Sunday, he couldn’t help but think of “the [Democratic National Convention] where they denied God three times.”
“Where are we headed as a society? Where are we headed as a society?” he asked." TheBlaze

Papal Notes - Rolling Stone cover - guess who?

"Pope Francis has become the first pontiff to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. It is a typical picture of the pope, smiling and waving, above the cover line, "The times they are a-changin.'"
This is one popular pope. Only last month he was smiling from the cover of Time magazine as its 2013 "person of the year."
But Rolling Stone is a rock music magazine, so it is a landmark decision to feature him.
Inside the magazine is a 7,700-word profile by contributing editor Mark Binelli, who writes: "In less than a year since his papacy began, Pope Francis has done much to separate himself from past popes and establish himself as a people's pope." TheGuardian

"Nearly every Wednesday in Rome, the faithful and the curious gather in St. Peter's Square for a general audience with the pope. Since the election of the former Jorge Mario Bergoglio last March, attendance at
papal events has tripled to 6.6 million.
Up close, Pope Francis, the 266th vicar of Jesus Christ on Earth, a man whose obvious humility, empathy and, above all, devotion to the economically disenfranchised has come to feel perfectly suited to our times, looks stouter than on television.
But he had far more radical changes in mind. By eschewing the papal palace for a modest two-room apartment, by publicly scolding church leaders for being "obsessed" with divisive social issues like gay marriage, birth control and abortion ("Who am I to judge?" Francis famously replied when asked his views on homosexual priests) and – perhaps most astonishingly of all – by devoting much of his first major written teaching to a scathing critique of unchecked free-market capitalism, the pope revealed his own obsessions to be more in line with the boss' son." Creation Moment 1/30/2014 - Lip Smacking...

"Scientists measured lip-smacking by macaques and concluded that’s where human language came from.  Is that logical?  Only if an arbitrary requirement is imposed on scientific explanations.
The materialism rule in science is a de facto requirement that no intelligent causes are allowed in explanation.  Also known as methodological naturalism, the rule requires that everything be reducible to physics and chemistry.  This is what powers Darwinism, a materialist account for the origin of everything biological and everything human.  Scientists enslaved to this rule never seem to catch on that it leads to absurdity.
An example can be found in a new paper in PNAS that alleges lip-smacking behavior in macaques led to human language.  Because there appears to be a similarity in the frequency of lip smacks and the tempo of human vocalization, the evolutionists imagine a causal link between them, ignoring all other possible explanations (such as the physical constraints on lip muscles).  The authors stated this in the abstract:
…we tested rhesus monkeys in a preferential-looking procedure, measuring the time spent looking at
each of two side-by-side computer-generated monkey avatars lip-smacking at natural versus sped-up or slowed-down rhythms. Monkeys showed an overall preference for the natural rhythm compared with the perturbed rhythms. This lends behavioral support for the hypothesis that perceptual processes in monkeys are similarly tuned to the natural frequencies of communication signals as they are in humans. Our data provide perceptual evidence for the theory that speech may have evolved from ancestral primate rhythmic facial expressions.
But surely the scientists are overlooking the most important element of language: meaning  The focus on mechanical lip action is misdirected.  It’s also self-refuting, because it would imply that the scientists’ own language has no more meaning that lip-smacking..  Besides, macaques still exist side-by-side with humans and have not developed symbolic language of their own—complete with syntax, semantics, and understanding—in the same time humans allegedly came out of the trees and developed tensor calculus." CEH

As for these silly evolutionists.....
Behold, they belch out with their mouth:
swords are in their lips:
for who, say they, doth hear?

Health Note - Kicking the Habit

Therefore if any man be in Christ,

he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
"An addiction to tobacco is both psychological and physical. Some of the classic withdrawal symptoms are
nicotine craving, rapid mood swings, tremors, intestinal problems, headaches, increased smoker's cough (as the lungs clean themselves), sleep disturbances, hunger, anxiety, irritability, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, frustration or anger, dizziness, and nausea. The average person experiences about five of these symptoms during a complete break from cigarettes. The worst of the withdrawal symptoms are usually over within the first 24-72 hours, and all physical symptoms should be completely gone at the end of four weeks.

1. Choose to quit. The first and most important step is to make a personal choice to stop smoking. Write down your reasons for quitting, keep them with you, and review them frequently. Set a date—the sooner the better—and kick the habit.
2. Eliminate all cigarettes. Don't plan to fail. Cigarettes close at hand intensify the cravings. Get rid of all temptation.
3. Plan strategies to resist cravings. A craving lasts only two to three minutes. If you can distract yourself for that long, the battle is yours. Get a drink of water and take several slow deep breaths. Tell someone your reasons for quitting. Find an activity not related to smoking that can be done automatically when necessary.
4. Exercise daily. Exercise naturally relieves anxiety and tension; it is a powerful mood elevator. When faced with cravings, exercise is an excellent option. Plan some sort of moderate physical activity, such as a brisk walk, into every day. You will have fewer and less intense cravings.
5. Get more sleep. For the first five days after quitting, your body will require more sleep. Arrange your schedule so that you have the option of an extra two hours in bed if you need it. This will go a long way toward preventing mood swings and tendencies to irritability, frustration, and anger.
6. Drink 8-12 glasses of water daily. Abundant quantities of water will wash the poisons from your system and prevent dehydration, which seems to make a number of withdrawal symptoms worse. Other beverages are not as effective at keeping you hydrated. Caffeinated drinks are diuretics and promote water loss. Eating just fruit and drinking only fruit juice or water for the first twenty-four hours may help flush your system of toxins.
7. Shower or bathe more frequently. Water has a tremendous equalizing effect on the nervous system and it keeps your pores clean and open, which helps eliminate toxins through the skin. Also, ridiculous as it may sound, the shower is actually a safe retreat when a nicotine craving hits. Showering and smoking just don't go together for most people.
8. Avoid substances such as caffeine and alcohol that make it more difficult to quit. Caffeine increases the intensity of some withdrawal symptoms such as nicotine cravings, anxiety, irritability, and difficulty sleeping. It also alters the brain chemistry, making it harder to develop new habits. It is often behaviorally linked with smoking. An unusual reaction occurs when nicotine and caffeine are given up at the same time; their withdrawal symptoms tend to cancel each other out, making it easier to discontinue both. Those who stop smoking but continue to drink coffee have a higher relapse rate than those who stop using both at the same time.
Alcohol interferes with judgment. It will suppress the ability to stick with your decision to quit. Heavy meals, especially in the evening, tend to bring on the urge to smoke. Spicy foods such as mustard, vinegar, ketchup, pickles, pepper, and even cinnamon can increase smoking urges as well as other withdrawal symptoms.
9. Avoid smoking-associated situations. When, where, and with whom do you usually smoke? If you usually smoke sitting at the table after dinner, then get up immediately and do something not associated with smoking. What about that easy chair? Do you always have a cigarette in your hand when you sit there? Sit somewhere else. Explain to your friends what you are doing and ask for their support. If they try to undermine your resolve or tempt you, they are not really your friends; avoid them until you have firmly broken the habit.
10. Help someone else. Programs that employ a buddy system are invaluable. The act of helping someone else quit provides a tremendous boost of motivation for you to keep going.
11. Persevere. If, in a moment of weakness, you give in to your cravings, don't give up. Determine to persevere and continue fighting until you win. Figure out what went wrong, devise a plan so it won't happen again, renew your commitment, and obtain the victory. Do not allow yourself to flounder in self-destructive condemnation.
12. Ask for help. Many people find that their strongest resolutions and most sincere promises are like ropes of sand. They realize that they are slaves to tobacco, incapable of freeing themselves. There is hope for people trying to quit smoking. Your loving Creator will give you strength if you ask Him. Spend some time with Him each day in self-surrender and give this battle to Him. Persevere and He will set you free." AmazingDiscoveries

IN the NEWS - President on Pot

"President Barack Obama says smoking pot isn’t “more dangerous” than drinking alcohol.
“As has been well-documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life,” Obama said....Obama also told Remnick that he is troubled that “middle-class kids don’t get locked up for smoking pot, and poor kids do. And African-American kids and Latino kids are more likely to be poor and less likely to have the resources and the support to avoid unduly harsh penalties.”
“Those who argue that legalizing marijuana is a panacea and it solves all these social problems I think are probably overstating the case,” he said  “There is a lot of hair on that policy. And the experiment that’s going to be taking place in Colorado and Washington is going to be, I think, a challenge.” NBC

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,
which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:19
P.S. - - "Researchers at Northwestern Medicine have found that the developing teenage brain may be particularly vulnerable to excessive marijuana use. In a new study—published on December 16, 2013—scientists report that teens who smoked marijuana daily for about three years had abnormal
changes in their brain structures
related to working memory and performed poorly on memory tasks.
It is common sense that being a heavy cannabis user might make someone more spaced-out and less likely to perform well on memory tasks. Excessive chronic use of any type of drug is going to have detrimental mental and physical side effects.
Alarmingly, the brain abnormalities and memory problems were observed during the individuals' early twenties, two years after they stopped smoking marijuana. The researchers found that memory-related structures in their brains appeared to shrink and collapse inward, reflecting a possible decrease in neuron volume. These findings could indicate long-term detriments of chronic marijuana use as a teenager.
The younger the individuals were when they started chronically using marijuana, the more abnormally their brain regions were shaped, the study reports.
John Csernansky, M.D. and co-senior author on the Northwestern study concluded, "The abuse of popular street drugs, such as marijuana, may have dangerous implications for young people who are developing or have developed mental disorders.
Legalizing marijuana has led to more widespread use. In the United States, marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug and young adults have the highest—and growing—prevalence of use."

Health Note - Marlboro man dies

"Eric Lawson, who portrayed the rugged Marlboro man in cigarette ads during the late 1970s, has died. He was 72.
Lawson died Jan. 10 at his home in San Luis Obispo of respiratory failure due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD.
Lawson was an actor with bit parts on such TV shows as "Baretta" and "The Streets of San Francisco" when he was hired to appear in print Marlboro ads from 1978 to 1981. His other credits include "Charlie's Angels," ''Dynasty" and "Baywatch." His wife said injuries sustained on the set of a Western film ended his career in 1997.
A smoker since age 14, Lawson later appeared in an anti-smoking commercial that parodied the Marlboro man and an "Entertainment Tonight" segment to discuss the negative effects of smoking. Susan said her husband was proud of the interview, even though he was smoking at the time and continued the habit until he was diagnosed with COPD.
"He knew the cigarettes had a hold on him," she said. "He knew, yet he still couldn't stop." AP
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

GLAAD President Sarah Kate Ellis celebrated the event, telling The Hollywood Reporter in an exclusive statement.

ARCHAEOLOGY: Sodom Ash

"Sulfur, which was found in places all five cities of Sodom, Gomorrah, Cebojim, Adma, Zoar, in fine powder compressed into a sphere in a burnt capsule. Sulfur is found with a purity up to 98%. There have been many sulfur analysis of samples throughout the world. All experts who were able to test the sulfur stated that the samples are completely unique.

Sulfur in Sodom, is unique because it is dust, is sealed, the package is ashen and the so-called Ring of combustion....It's the rest of slab melting, but not from the outside inwards, as would be expected for such things, but it's from the inside out. This suggests that the sulfur is melted into something and began to spearhead high temperature to melt outwards, then left behind the so-called combustion circuit.
Let's look at Pompeii, a city in the province of Naples that was destroyed by a volcanic fury of the volcano Vesuvius. When the ash fell on the city, everything was covered with ashes. But the city itself remained preserved. Once found, remove the ash and stone walls have even colored mosaics and drawings. This is the result of volcanic activity.
Let's see in Sodom and Gomorrah what happened. Instead of the ash coating city in the ashes. This is something completely different than volcanic activity. It was not found in any other ruins in the world. Archaeologists have uncovered many lost cities in the world, but no one was reversed in the ashes." AH
"The five cities of the plain have been located and the evidence is staggering.  For the first time in modern history we have found round balls of brimstone, or nearly pure sulfur, embedded in an ashen area near the Dead Sea, which show clear signs of having once been ancient building structures!
The cities were located in the plain, so they should not be located in the low area now covered by the Dead Sea.  These cities were well known in the first century, as Josephus said, "The traces or shadows of the five cities are still to be seen."  If Josephus could see them, then we should be able to see them also.  The water level of the Dead Sea has fallen since the time of Josephus,....This is the only place on earth where you can find 96 percent pure monoclinic sulfur in a round ball.  This brimstone is NOT from any type of geo-thermal activity as there is no evidence of such in the area, and geo-thermal sulfur nodules are only 40 percent pure sulfur and are of the rhombic type." A Little Q & A on Pastor Hagee

This is not an attack on Pastor Hagee, but an honest response to his 4 blood moons prophetic theory.

Hagee believes that in the 2014-2015 since there are supposed to be 4 blood moons, or lunar eclipses in a row, which fall on Jewish holidays, that God is trying to tell us something.
There is NOTHING in Scripture about "4" blood moons. Sure Revelation 6:12 talks of the moon as blood-but not as "4 lunar eclipses on Jewish holidays".

Main problem for Hagee is that he apparently believes Bible prophecy is somehow still tied to the nation of Israel....and he is wrong about that. From a wrong premise he proceeds down a path of erroneous prophetic nonsense.
And WHY would God use something tied to Jewish holidays when, after the cross, those holidays have no more spiritual value?
It should be noted that Hagee apparently believes the false doctrine of the "secret rapture" & this is likely where he gets his misguided views of  what "Israel" represents post-cross.
Q: So is John Hagee an "Issachar" of our day?
And of the children of Issachar,
which were men that had understanding of the times,

SDA News - Lockdown down in Tennessee

"A lockdown at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn., was been lifted and a suspect is in custody, local news media are reporting.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press said the lockdown alarm sounded in Brock Hall on the campus, and the university safety alert said it was not a drill. The paper said word that the incident was over and someone was in custody was sent in a text alert and email 2:25 p.m. to students by campus security.

WRCB-TV reported that an email was sent to students and faculty earlier that read: "This is not a test. We have executed a Campus wide lock down. Campus Safety is investigating a potential threat. Please remain inside and away from windows until a sweep of the campus. Please hold all phone calls. We will send more information as it is available. This is not a test."
The station said Collegedale police were on the campus as well as the campus of nearby Collegedale Academy, and other agencies had been called in. Authorities asked students and faculty to remain hidden until a police sweep could be completed.
Collegedale police told WTVC-TV they had received a "credible off-campus threat" and had immediately locked down the university and other nearby Hamilton County schools. The county schools were later taken off lockdown.
Chattanooga police told WTVC they have taken a "person of interest" into custody at another location. It was not clear if that was the same person mentioned in the text and email announcing that the lockdown was lifted.

Creation Moment 1/27/2014 - Copout Compromisers

Theistic Evolution
This view accepts that God used evolution to create life on earth, including mankind.
Progressive Creationism
This view accepts that God created each species of plant and animal as a unique creation, without the use of evolution, and the days of creation refer to a long periods of time.
Gap Theory
This theory states there is a gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.  There are two distinct creations.  The first, billions of years old, accepts the modern scientific theories about the age of the earth.
The second creation (Genesis 1:2-31) records the six 24-hour days of the second creation.

But we live on PROMISES....
Not EXPLANATIONS.....

Does knowing why you have pancreatic cancer lessen the pain of it? No....

not having received the promises,

Live in the Sunshine

"We need Christians who constantly live in the sunshine,
who under all circumstances can praise the Lord.
With the hope and assurance that Christ has promised, how can we be unhappy?
There is no excuse or justification for any Christian to be discontented.
Never give the impression that you are disappointed with the way that Christ has marked out for you to follow.

In deed and in truth we are to be amenable to the law of God."

IN the NEWS - "Witchcraft" Rampant in Indonesia?

"Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono may be the first Indonesian president to acknowledge publicly he believes in witchcraft. In a recently published memoir, he describes a “horror movie” style encounter with black magic at his residence.
“Suddenly, my wife screamed,” writes Yudhoyono in the 900-page book, “Selalu Ada Pilihan” (There is Always a Choice). “There was this thick dark cloud hovering beneath the ceiling, trying to enter my bedroom. I then asked everybody to pray to seek Allah’s help. I closed the door to my room but left others wide open. The revolving clouds eventually headed out of my house.”

Witchcraft is prohibited in Islam. However, the practice is widespread in Indonesia, which has the world’s largest Muslim population. A 2012 survey by the Pew Forum showed that 69 percent of Indonesian Muslims believe witchcraft is real.
“Many people in Indonesia, including its top leaders, turn to soothsayers to consult about their careers, fortunes and marriages,” said Endy Bayuni, senior editor at The Jakarta Post.
However, a president sharing this information publicly is unprecedented, Bayuni added. Yudhoyono’s second — and last — presidential term is ending this year.
Yudhoyono lives in his private residence, not at the 19th-century presidential palace in Jakarta, which is considered haunted, Bayuni said. Only two presidents, Sukarno from 1945-1965 and Abdurrahman Wahid from 1999-2001, made the palace their residence.
In September 2010, Yudhoyono skipped a meeting of the U.S. and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations held on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, partly because of “rumors of rampant witchcraft in the palace,” according to a WikiLeaks cable.
Yudhoyono believes in witchcraft, but perhaps only as a menace. His government last year proposed amendments to the 1918 Criminal Code, adding a clause that states using black magic to cause “someone’s illness, death, mental or physical suffering” is an offense with a punishment of up to five years in jail or 300 million rupiah ($25,000) in fines." Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery,
fornication,
uncleanness,
lasciviousness,
Idolatry,
witchcraft,
hatred,
variance,
emulations,
wrath,
strife,
seditions,
heresies,
Envyings,
murders,
drunkenness,
revellings, and such like:
of the which I tell you before,
as I have also told you in time past,
that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Creation Moment 1/25/2014 - Hearing

"Hearing is an incredible process of turning the slightest sound wave, traveling at 770 m.p.h. (344 m/s), into a sensation that our brain can process and then react to.
Creative design and organization is seen throughout the hearing process, starting with our eardrum that functions as a resonator. The faintest sound people can hear is due to the eardrum moving a mere one tenth the diameter of a hydrogen atom.
The eardrum's movement is transmitted by three of the smallest bones in our body to specially designed lymphs (fluids) in the amazing cochlea. Vibrations from the ear bones (ossicles) are sent through the fluids which are then transmitted into nerve impulses in the true organ of hearing, the organ of Corti. The impulses proceed through the vestibulo-cochlear nerve to the brain for interpretation.
The evidence for a "clearly seen" (or in this case, heard) creation is forcefully found in the innermost workings of our ear. Research has revealed incredible features of the auditory and vestibular sensory systems.

There are ultra-tiny, braided structures extending from a hair cell to an abutting taller sensory cell (sterocilia) called the tip link. All these cells are submerged in the above-mentioned lymph. Through detailed interactions of elastic elements and gating springs, the tip line (the braided portion of the tip link) opens ion channels in the taller stereocilium. This happens when the tip line is pulled as the cells move—like wheat stalks in the wind—in response to sound. Various ions are now allowed to rapidly enter the cell and contribute to membrane depolarization, part of the hearing process. "There is still considerable uncertainty about subsequent events" but this detailed process may also require a special molecular motor embedded in the stereocilium membrane. The tiny motor is connected to the tip line and it moves the entire ion channel down and up the cell membrane to close the channel.
Whether it's hearing thundering ocean surf, Chopin's emotional nocturnes, or "Lunch is ready!" there are aspects of this process that remain a deep mystery." ICR

Creation Moment 1/24/2014 -Oceans from whence?

"Where did the oceans come from according to evolutionists? Baby boomers may remember this "just-so story" described in the popular Time-Life book series (that includes a veiled swipe at the Biblical explanation while bowing to naturalism).
Finally the day came when the falling raindrops did not hiss away in steam, but stayed to start filling the crevices and corners of the naked planet. Then it rained, and the accumulation of the seas began. The accumulation did not take place (in the opinion of modern geologists) through "the greatest deluge of all time" that has so often been described. So far as anyone can tell, it may merely have rained as it rains today. Nature has plenty of time. It probably took a billion years to fill the oceans [emphasis added].
Do secular scientists have any better ideas today? "The origin of the water in the oceans is unclear" states the University of New South Wales School of Environmental Sciences.
For decades many planetary scientists believed that the ocean's water may have come from a rain of comets (so to speak) laden with water. But a 1999 Caltech study by a cosmochemist and his team threw a wet blanket on this theory when they measured significant amounts of "heavy water" (HDO) from the Hale-Bopp comet. This type of water contains deuterium, a heavier isotope of hydrogen having one neutron and one
proton in the nucleus. If the "oceans-from-comets" theory is correct, our oceans should be deuterium-rich. They are not.
What do creationists say regarding the origin of the oceans? We look to the Biblical model and find that our planet began cool and covered with water (see Genesis 1:2) as opposed to the secular model stating it was molten rock with no water! On the third day of creation, the waters under the heaven were gathered into one place which God called Seas (see Genesis 1:9-10). Centuries later, at the Flood, He again covered the land with water, until the fountains of the deep were closed and the water receded steadily from the earth. As the fountains closed, the ocean floor sank, forming new and much deeper ocean basins (such as the 36,163 foot deep Mariana Trench), permitting the continents to drain and emerge from the waters." ICR
And God said,
Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place,
and let the dry land appear:
and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth;
and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas:
and God saw that it was good.

Panpsychism - Nothing New

"Panpsychism is the claim that consciousness is not just a property of the brain, and not a property of some special spiritual kind of substance like the soul, but rather a property of everything in the universe. Even a rock or a pebble or an atom has a little bit of consciousness in it. Panpsychism has been endorsed by two distinguished neuroscientists, Christof Koch and Guilio Tononi. Why would anyone hold this view?

The main support for panpsychism seems to be a kind of argument from ignorance. It seems mysterious how the peculiar properties of consciousness such as awareness and feeling could result from anything physical. This kind of incomprehensibility, along with religious motivations, has traditionally been used to support dualism, the idea that a person consists of two separate things, mind and soul. But with the lack of any evidence for the existence of souls, and the waning of religious beliefs, some people favor panpsychism over dualism. We just can't see how it is that properties like experience and awareness could result from the mere motions of molecules. So there must be a little bit of consciousness in everything that can then sum up to the experiences found in humans.
However, we only have good evidence for the existence of consciousness in organisms that have brains." PsychologyToday

There is NOTHING NEW about "Panpsychism"....It is just an intellectual version of new-age pantheism at best.
...and there is no new thing under the sun.
