then our preaching is vain,
your faith also is vain.

The disciples claimed Christ BODILY rose from the dead.
This claim could have easily been refuted by the opponents presenting the dead body.
If the disciples were faking a religion-it would have made more sense to have claimed a "spiritual" resurrection.
That way it would have been impossible to disprove.
The claim of a bodily resurrection by the disciples gives credibility to the claim of Christianity.
The world has ever since been trying to disprove the claims of the disciples, and have failed...
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, (Peter) then of the twelve:
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
