"Thousands of Palestinian Authority Arabs participated in a mass rally in Ramallah earlier this week. Ramallah is a Palestinian city located within the West Bank region, 15 km north of Jerusalem. They were calling for the establishment of the Muslim Caliphate, which is an Islamic form of government representing the political unity and religious leadership of the Muslim world.
The Caliphate is to be led by the all-powerful Mahdi (messiah), who will
unite all Muslims and establish Islam as the dominant religion in the world. He will rule for several years and then the “Day of Judgment” will come.
The identity of this messiah is as elusive as that of the antichrist and the false prophet to come. However, many Islamists believe that he is alive today. Muslims believe this worldwide Islamist government, or New World Order will usher in “the coming of the Mahdi.”
The Caliphate is essentially a union of Muslim countries under one spiritual guide and political leadership. This idea is nothing new. It has been an Islamic concept since the days of Muhammad, when the concept was established by several of his disciples.
Speakers at the rally said that their Mahdi, would unify Muslims and establish Shariah Law in countries around the world and called for unity among all Muslims in order to ensure “victory in Syria,” the “liberation of Palestine from the hated Jews,” and the “freeing of mankind from the chains of capitalism.”
Radio moderator Glenn Beck has warned his listeners that what was formerly known as “Ancient Babylon” could emerge as the new seat of “evil” and center of the new Caliphate.
Beck reported on his radio show, “When I say that there’s a Caliphate, that it is a desire of the Islamic extremists in the Middle East and that it is not a conspiracy theory,” that’s exactly what I mean.
Glenn Beck listed three things he knew to be true.
“1. Groups from the hardcore socialist and Communist left and extreme Islam will work together because they are both a common enemy of Israel and the Jew.
2. Groups from the hardcore socialist and Communist left and extreme Islam will work together because they are the common enemy of capitalism and the western way of life.
3. Groups from the hardcore socialist and Communist left and extreme Islam will work to overturn relatively stable countries, because, in the status quo, they are both ostracized from power.”
Beck continued, “Islam wants a Caliphate. Communists want a Communist, new world order. They’ll work together, and they’ll destabilize, because they both want chaos, period.”
Calamities will spread and intensify. The people will be troubled to such an extent that they will long for death. It is then that they believe the Imam Mahdi will be sent.
