Upright fossilized trees (polystrate fossils) are evidence for a flood catastrophe. Some trees are buried as entire forests and fossilized. The most upright fossil trees on earth, so far discovered, are in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. The Joggins main coal seam in Nova Scotia is filled with upright polystrate trees.
