A seed could not germinate if it were not so equipped with the tools and information in place, ready to respond to the call.
Moreover, a seed needs to be buried in the right environment for a new crop to flourish.
As he walked and taught outdoors, Christ spoke metaphorically of plants and seeds. He taught that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like the wildflowers on the hillsides where He sat teaching. He spoke of a sower spreading seeds on four kinds of soil: hardpan, shallow, weedy, and fertile. He spoke of the inborn capacity of seeds—even the smallest of seeds—to multiply and spread. And prophesying his own death, He said that “unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit” (John 12:24)."
