.....for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her
fornication, Revelation 19:2
The Ecumenical Movement can be used to foster the agenda of "Babylon"-that great whore of Revelation. There has already been unions formed (such as the United Church of Christ from out of the movement, the Evangelical Lutheran Church, etc.) and some are now sharing communion and sharing the pulpits.
The Ecumenical Movement is made up of two main bodies:
1) The World Council of Churches (WCC)
2) The National Council of Churches (NCC)
The ecumenical movement also likes to stick its nose into worldly politics, usaually, but not exclusivly, positions on the political left of the spectrum. Yet, the irony is, many are willing to accept the Pope as the head Bishop of a global alliance....interesting....
Recently the NCC gave an award of recognition to 5 congregations for "...exemplary efforts in strengthening its own self-understanding and identity as a community deeply rooted in the Christian faith and, at the same time, being open to learning from, working with, and sharing with those of other faiths."
The 5 were:
● Episcopal Tri-Faith Ministries, Ashland, Neb.
● First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Eugene, Ore.
● St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Washington, D.C.
