Some argue that the Bible contradicts itself because light is created on the first day but the sun doesn't exist until the 4th day.
But in Revelation we are told there will be no more need for the sun....because God will be our light.
Same at the beginning too....the "Light" was Christ exposing Himself to kick off creation week. When the sun was created He simply turned over the function of lighting to the sun.
A planetary body to have night & day just needs a source of light. It doesn't matter rather the body of light is the sun or God Himself.
