Evangelicals stress being saved personally & being born again. They tend to have a heavy emphasis of evangelizing by preaching crusades or seminars, and most TV evangelists are evangelical rather than mainline Protestant.
Most, but not all, evangelical churches are more theologically conservative rather than liberal. Although there is a growing amount with women ordination.
Evangelicalism is your traditional American Protestant Christianity that opposes anything resembling Papal Rome in their services.
