The Jesuit priest Funes said - "Just as there is a multitude of creatures on Earth, there could be other beings, even intelligent ones, created by God." FOX News
In a Vatican newspaper the headline was - "The extraterrestrial is my brother."
Funes also said - "To use St. Francis' words, if we consider earthly creatures as 'brothers' and 'sisters,' why can't we also speak of an 'extraterrestrial brother?'"

In response to the Catholic gathering to discuss E.T. the British newspaper The Telegraph stated "extremely alien-looking aliens would be hard to fit with the idea that God “made man in his own image. Furthermore, Jesus Christ’s role as saviour would be confused: would other worlds have their own, tentacled Christ-figures, or would Earth’s Christ be universal? ”.
...for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. 1 Corinthians 4:9
Of course all of this is silly, since the idea of aliens in the U.F.O. sense is nonsense. We know that there are other creations by God, but they aren't flying around in flying saucers. And they aren't trying to contact us since we are contaminated by sin
The meaning of the cherubim bending over looking down over the process of salvation in the Most Holy Place tells us that they are watching us-but attempting contact-NO. As Paul tells us we are a spectacle for them (Greek for theater).
