The Bible rule is,2 Timothy 2:7
Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things.
And
---He not only sent the messengers,
---but He sent the message, and the original Word is preserved to us. The message can be delivered only by the Word.
And by the Word anyone can determine whether the messenger is delivering the message as it was first delivered.
This is why the messengers who have departed from the Word seek to shut it away from the people.
It is the test which exposes every false profession."
