The "Really" File - (Monster Drink & 666)

But shun profane and vain babblings:
2 Timothy 2:16
* At the pizza joint where I work, some people I know drink a lot of Green Monster Drink. Now someone is going around
work telling everyone that it is the Hebrew letters for 666 & is the mark of the beast. (666 is NOT the mark of the beast-it is the number of his name. Anyway...) So I thought I'd take a look into this brewing controversy raging by internet scholars & YouTube scholars. Enjoy.....U decide for yourself...sure they may have done this on purpose to go along with their slogan (Unleash the Beast)....but I doubt they understand what the beast actually is. They're just laughing at well intentioned Christians getting worked up by it. PR=$$$$$$
P.S.- There is one upside to this PR controversy (that I'm sure the company is enjoying the publicity since it helps with getting their name out there) and that is when someone brings this nonsense up--you have an opening to explain what 666 is really about.

"In a controversial video posted to YouTube, titled "Monster Energy drinks are the work of Satan," a woman claims that Monster Energy drink uses Satanic imagery to promote an anti-Christ agenda.
Within three days, the video has been viewed more 5.7 million times.
The unknown woman in the video, believed to be speaking at a Christian event, believes there are hidden messages across the energy drink's brand, logo and marketing that resemble elements of Satanism.
In the video, the woman claims that "M" logo could appear to resemble three instances of the letter Vav, the Hebrew numeral for six, interpreting the logo to mean "666." Later, she references Monster's slogan on a product banner reading "Unleash the Beast," interpreting these two examples as Monster Energy intending to reference "the beast" in the Book of Revelations.

The woman claims that a cross in the letter "O" of Monster resembles a crucifix, and says that when the can is held is upside-down when drinking, the symbol in inverted. She believes that this inverted crucifix is meant to symbolize Satanism." EyeWitnessNews7

"Certain blogs and websites have noticed that the logo is very similar to the Hebrew letter “Vav”. In the Hebrew Alphabet, every letter is also a corresponding number and Vav is the number 6. Thus the

three Vavs in a row form 666, which is the Biblical number of the Beast:

666 will be the official number of the Antichrist in the end times. And as occult societies who are actually welcoming his arrival look to prepare the masses for it, subtle subliminal ads and marketing can be found in pop culture today promoting this number.  In the case of Monster Energy, if this all seems to be coincidence, then the coincidences grow even stronger, when one sees the marketing slogan for the Monster Energy Drink:
Notice that it says “unleash the Beast” which is precisely what the Bible describes in the end-times when the ‘Beast spirit’ that indwells the Antichrist will be released, enter the Antichrist and start a reign of terror, murder and destruction the world has never witnessed in its history.
If Monster Energy is indeed is doing this intentionally, it would just be part of a greater move to subtly prepare society for the coming of the false Christ. Do not be deceived." Beginning&End
