WHY the RULES of Religion?
IF our ancestors were sitting around a campfire making up a religion, wouldn't it have made more sense to make up a "god" in their image who was a party "god" so as to have a so-called "good time"?
WHY make-up a religion like Christianity with all its "RULES"?
In Hinduism, you just keep reincarnating up & down a ladder of castes until you decide to worship the gods accordingly then move up a rung--but if not--you'll be back one day to your current step on the ladder so no biggy if you don't play along this round.
In Buddhism, you just keep getting flung around a circle of life via reincarnation. Whenever you are ready you can get off the spin cycle by stopping in a monastery & follow a few rules. But if not, just keep spinning as you please.
In Islam, Muhammad just copied from local paganism, borrowed from Judaism & Christianity what he wanted.
Many paganistic religions are universalist in their views. (As well as Mormonism in general-except for ex-Mormons who will be lost according to their belief)
And of course, secular atheistic humanism believes there is nothing out there so do as you please--the mantra of "YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE".
So WHY Christianity with it's RULES of right & wrong & NO 2nd chance?
Maybe because it's the real thing?
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:15
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life,
which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
