Creation Moment 12/23/2013 - 1st Law of Thermodynamics Simplified

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void;

and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 1:1,2

Everything exists in a state of conservation-meaning nothing can be created or destroyed. The forms of energy can be changed, moved around or transferred. But the amount of mass & energy remains the same.
What this means is that nothing that exists today could cause itself to come into being.
