Sermon on the Mount

And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:2,3
 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15
Compare and Contrast the following two attitudes: The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men ....I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. Luke 18:11,12 -OR- And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Luke 18:13 Which spirit is God looking for?
