During His sacrifice on the cross
the veil was rent in half Jesus, when he
had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil
of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
Matthew 27:50,51
For the Temple services on earth came to an end with
His death. Blotting out the handwriting of
ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out
of the way, nailing it to
his cross; Colossians 2:14
The symbolism for the veil
was our sin seperating us from the presence of God Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot
save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have
separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you,
that he will not
hear. Isaiah 59:1,2
Now the activity shifts to Heaven
and His services there as our High Priest And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the
tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: Revelation
15:5 And the temple of God was opened
in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his
testament: Revelation 11:9 As one would follow the plan
of Redemption laid out in the Sanctuary-what is left for Him in Heaven is the
actually judgment-the Day of Atonement, and the sending away of the scape
goat.
