The Median-Persian empire was represented as the silver part of the statue.
...his breast and his
arms of silver, Daniel
2:32
The Persian Empire was also represented as the bear. It raised itself
up on one side. (the Persians gained the upper hand over the Medes in their
joint empire). And behold another beast, a
second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three
ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it,
Arise, devour much flesh. Daniel 7:5 The three ribs are
the conquest of Babylon, Egypt and Lydia-the big 3 empires that the Persians
conquered. The ram is Media-Persia. The ram
which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and
Persia. Daniel 8:20
The ram was destroyed by the
Greeks- And as I was considering, behold,
an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not
the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And I saw him come
close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram,
and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him,
but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none
that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Daniel
