Papal Notes - Papal call to Sunday Sacredness

"A significant new development has emerged as Pope Leo XIV encourages people to attend church on Sunday by presenting Sunday as sacred time and connecting it with Christ’s authority and His Second Coming. 

The Pope also calls for the sanctification of Sunday and urges society to provide working conditions that will allow people to participate in Sunday Mass. 

This papal appeal is particularly significant because it increasingly connects Sunday observance with faithfulness and loyalty to Christ and the Church.

The Vatican Press Office published the following remarks by Pope Leo XIV on August 12, 2026:
• “The Council Fathers considered ‘the foundation and kernel of the whole liturgical year to be Sunday, the original feast day. In various

modern languages, its name indicates that it is the ‘dies Domini—the Lord’s day.’ Even in those languages where the reference to the ‘day of the sun’ (Sunday, Sonntag) has prevailed, the link with Christ can be discerned: Christ is the true ‘sun of righteousness’ who enlightens every person!”
• “Saint John Paul II, in the Apostolic Letter Dies Domini (31 May 1998), teaches that Sunday is the day of the Lord, the day of the Church, the day of man and, finally, the day of days. Since Sunday is the weekly Easter, recalling and making present the day upon which Christ rose from the dead, it is also the day which reveals the meaning of time.”
• “Christ’s Second Coming—Sunday foreshadows the last day, the day of the Parousia, when we shall all rise again.”
• “To sanctify Sunday, it is fundamental to celebrate the Eucharist. Listening to the Word and partaking of the Body of Christ entail, according to the Council Fathers, the coming together in unum, that is, the joyful gathering of the faithful.”
• “In this regard, I urge everyone to seek the best possible conditions so that even those who are unable to take time off work on Sundays may take part in Holy Mass.”

The next step will ultimately be the civil enforcement of Sunday observance, bringing it into direct conflict with the seventh-day Sabbath.

While Rome is calling the world to sanctify Sunday, the Three Angels’ Messages are calling the world back to the Creator and His

commandments, including the call to “worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Revelation 14:7)—a direct quote from the fourth commandment and a call to honor the true seventh-day Sabbath established by God at Creation."

"The Brussels Times, a leading Belgian news outlet, published a report detailing how the ALDI supermarket chain proposed expanding Sunday store openings, requiring employees to work on that day. 

ALDI’s proposed Sunday expansion has sparked nationwide labor strikes across 60 stores, leading to widespread shutdowns as workers strongly resisted efforts to make Sunday a regular workday.

The Brussels Times reported the following:
• “At least 60 Aldi supermarkets have shut their doors on Friday due to spontaneous staff protests against the management’s plan to open

stores on Sundays, according to the Christian trade union CNE.”
• “Union officials are supporting the protest and assisting staff. ‘We stand by the workers,’ said Évelyne Zabus, permanent secretary of the CNE.”
• “The union has expressed disappointment with management’s approach, claiming the Sunday opening plan was introduced during discussions intended to focus on employee demands, such as salary improvements.”

Employees opposed the move to open stores on Sundays and responded with strikes, effectively shutting down numerous locations as workers walked off the job. They view Sunday openings as a serious challenge to long-standing tradition that regards Sunday as a protected day of rest.

Labor unions are also a powerful force in resisting efforts to relax Sunday labor restrictions, arguing that Sunday is a unique day worthy of legal protection as a designated day for workers. In Belgium, unions are at the forefront of opposing expanded Sunday openings, fighting to keep it from being just another commercial workday."

Euronews reported the following regarding the global energy crisis:
• “Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen urged EU countries on Tuesday to take aligned, coordinated action to curb oil and gas

consumption and optimize storage reserves, warning that the crisis’s impact will not be short-lived.”
• “Jørgensen spoke on the sidelines of an emergency meeting of European energy ministers … The ministers were urged to take coordinated measures to curb soaring oil and natural gas prices, as the war in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz threaten prolonged price increases and possible supply disruptions.”
• “EU countries may consider fuel rationing, remote work, and even ‘car-free Sundays’—a measure from the 1970s energy crisis—to curb oil and gas demand, as prices have surged 70% and 50%, respectively.”

The Roman Catholic Church and Evangelical Christianity will certainly welcome measures like “car-free Sundays” because they closely align with their long-standing calls to make Sunday a universal day of rest for society. 

Even when presented in secular terms—such as conserving energy or protecting the environment—these policies reinforce the idea of a shared weekly day of rest centered on Sunday."

"A new labor law in Brazil, MTE nº 3.665/2023, goes into effect in March 2026, which will change how retailers can operate on Sunday. The law effectively closes retail stores on Sunday and requires approval from trade unions in order for businesses to open their doors on that day. If a business wants to operate on Sunday, it must get express authorization through collective bargaining.

Pinto & Fernando Pinto Law Firm published the following explaining how the new law works:
• “MTE Ordinance No. 3,665/2023 has introduced significant changes to the rules authorizing work on Sundays and holidays

within the retail sector. The regulation will come into full effect in March 2026 and significantly alters how establishments may organize their work schedules on these days.”
• “Under the new regulation, provisions of MTP Ordinance No. 671/2021—which previously allowed commercial establishments to operate automatically on Sundays and holidays—have been revoked.”
• “Under the new rule, working on these dates now requires express authorization via a collective bargaining agreement negotiated between companies and the relevant trade unions.”

The new ordinance revokes earlier rules that allowed retail stores to operate automatically on Sundays and holidays. Work on those days now requires explicit authorization negotiated between companies and trade unions—a process that is so restrictive and bureaucratically burdensome that obtaining approval becomes exceedingly difficult, effectively limiting or preventing Sunday operations." "On February 16, 2026, Vijesti News reported that the Montenegrin Parliament had reinstated Sunday as a day of rest by law, presenting the decision as a measure to give workers time off for their health and well-being. The report also noted that both the left and the right found common ground regarding the legislated Sunday rest. At the same time, the measure requires shops to remain open on Saturday.
This is what Sunday laws ultimately lead to—not only state-imposed religious observance but also the desecration of the true Lord’s Day by shifting commerce and labor onto the Biblical Sabbath.

• “Parliament has adopted amendments to the Internal Trade Act, allowing the return of Sunday holidays for wholesale and retail

stores. The decision was supported by 62 MPs and was supported by both the government and the opposition.”
• “The amendments to Article 35a of this Law submitted by the deputies of the Europe Now Movement (PES), require a non-working Sunday to protect the health of workers in wholesale and retail stores and their right to a weekly rest on public and other holidays.”
• “The law also stipulates that the opening hours of the facility from Monday to Saturday will be determined by the retailer.”

IN the NEWS - Sunday is now in Vogue..... Literally

"Vogue magazine has long been synonymous with fashion, culture, luxury, and the arts. It does not merely report on trends—it helps create them. Vogue has an international following and helps shape what its readers perceive as desirable and elegant. On February 12, 2026, Vogue published an article connecting Sunday rest with French culture and sophistication, promoting the concept of a “French Sunday.” By depicting Sunday as the day set apart for leisure, beauty, and rest—the magazine has elevated the day to something more refined and aspirational, above the rest of the days of the week.

Vogue described the meaning of “French Sunday” as follows:
• “The art of Sunday à la française, otherwise known as ‘French Sunday,’ has recently come to wider attention. With good reason: In

France, the last day of the week is not reserved for chores or errands, but for resting, reflecting, reconnecting, and resetting. It’s for nurturing connections with family, friends, and yourself. In many regions of the country, most shops and services are closed, so there’s not much pressure to get a lot done anyway.” 
• “Sunday should be a day of rest, and it must be protected from the efficiency and urgency that often permeates the rest of the week.”
• “The French even have sayings that capture this directive, like “Que votre dimanche soit comblé de grâce, de paix, et de bénédiction,” which basically means “May your Sunday be filled with grace, peace, and blessings.” 
• “French Sundays are supposed to be lazy, stress-free days, when the main activity is to do nothing.” 
• “Most of all, it’s about embodying the softer side of life and yourself with the deep inner knowing that taking it easy is just as worthwhile as everything else.”

The language used by Vogue romanticizes Sunday as something superior to the rest of the week. By presenting “French Sunday” as something refined and cultured, Vogue is intentionally elevating Sunday above all other days. 

But it goes even further. The article states that Sunday “must be protected,” implying that the day is under threat and that society bears a responsibility to safeguard it. This type of language lays out the justification to preserve Sunday through legislative measure.
Vogue is not a theological journal or a church publication; but it is one of the most influential cultural and fashion authorities in the world. When a platform of that magnitude begins calling for Sunday to be “protected” and describes its preservation as “non-negotiable,” this indicates that one day Vogue will join the popular push for legal enactment. From a prophetic perspective, this normalization of Sunday rest represents a preliminary step in shaping public sentiment to support a Sunday law."

"Blue Dot Living, an online magazine focused on sustainable living and environmental protection, published an article on December 29, 2025, calling for the establishment of a weekly day of rest for both people and the planet, giving examples of how Sunday is being set aside in different communities for rest and family time.

Blue Dot Living expressed the following:
• “If you’re like Dot, you surely need a rest. So let me share with you some wonderful news. The best thing we can do the planet just might be … nothing. Nothing? Nothing! Jonathan Schorsch is urging all of

us to join him in the Green Sabbath Project, a mass movement to observe a weekly day of rest, a modern version of what the ancients practiced: No work, no driving or flying, no scrolling our phones or anything technology, no shopping, no building. Instead, walk, sing, play. Eat with friends, food prepared ahead of time. Gather in community. Rest.”
• “This isn’t necessarily about God or religion, insists Schorsch, ‘it is merely common-sense self-care for oneself and our planetary home.’ And it just might help ease the strain on our planet, something we’re already seeing around the world. On Sundays, Mexico City allows tens of thousands of bicyclists, skateboarders, rollerbladers, parents, kids, and other pedestrians to take over more than a 30-mile area around the city’s historic district. Bogotá, Colombia, has similarly introduced car-free Sundays that the population savors, while England’s Playing Out program gives the streets back to parents and children for play.”
• “It is not just humans who need rest. Our Earth cries out for it, too. As Schorsch puts it, ‘A green Sabbath restores Shabbat to its original intention of commemorating the creation of the world.”

Blue Dot Living insists that a weekly day of rest “has nothing to do with God or religion,” but rather with self-care, well-being, and environmental healing. This type of reasoning redefines the Sabbath as a humanitarian and ecological tool, making it more appealing to the general public and reducing the likelihood of resistance to this proposal. This is how the world is being prepared to accept Sunday as the official day of rest: first, by disconnecting the Sabbath from the Word of God and presenting it as a matter of “common sense.”

The language emphasizes a “mass movement,” “gathering in community,” and “weekly day of rest.” 

This represents social participation. The article then gives samples about how this can play out in society through Sunday street closures, Sunday car-free events, and Sunday community gatherings. Essentially, Sunday is being elevated as the day when commerce stops, movement is restricted, and collective rest is encouraged. This call is describing a return to Sunday laws, but stripped of explicit religious language. However, the objective remains the same: to establish Sunday as the default day of rest without direct reference to religion.

But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:9."

The first 4 Commandments and the Mark of the Beast

The Mark of the Beast controversy assaults the first 4 on the table  of God's Commandments:

1) Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

It replaces via worship as God with the "Beast".

2) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any

likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Exodus 20:4,5

It replaces the worship of God with an "Image" to the Beast.

3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7

It blasphemes the name of God by taking the place of God in adoration, veneration and worship.

4) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou

labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work....For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8-11

It replaces God's Holy Sabbath Day (seal) with it's own counterfeit (mark).....the 7th day Sabbath is the Seal that identifies God as CREATOR---therefore He alone is God.

"A petition calling on Sir Keir Starmer not to push ahead with plans to introduce digital ID for all British adults has surged past 1.5 million signatures.
The petition, still awaiting a response from Sir Keir's Government,

soared by more than a million in fewer than 24 hours from Thursday into Friday.
Among the most engaged constituencies include Nigel Farage's seat of Clacton, with the Prime Minister also facing a local fight from hundreds of residents in his own seat of Holborn & St Pancras.
The one million signature milestone was reached just hours after Sir Keir unveiled his proposal to introduce mandatory digital ID cards during a keynote speech.
"You will not be able to work in the UK if you don't have a digital ID, it's as simple as that," the Prime Minister told attendees at the Global Progress Action Summit in London.
The card, which is reportedly called a "Brit Card", should be able to verify an individual’s right to live and work in the UK.

Despite growing support, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has come out against the introduction of digital ID.
Mr. Farage said: "All that digital ID will be is a means of controlling the population, of telling us what we can and can't do, of fining the innocent. And didn't we see it all when we had the pandemic when

you had to have vaccine ID to travel, to do various things?
Did that stop the Covid pandemic spreading? 

All it did was put cost and inconvenience on everyone else. I also worry about massive data banks being held by the Government being hacked by foreign governments, by private companies, by criminals. I do not see a single benefit to the Government having digital ID, other than them controlling what we do, what we spend and where we go."


Meanwhile, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch stopped short of taking a side on digital ID.
She instead warned: “This announcement is a desperate gimmick that will do nothing to stop the boats. There are arguments for and against digital ID, but mandating its use would be a very serious step that requires a proper national debate."

Papal Notes - Pope Leo's Idea to save the World

"Pope Leo XIV addressed a gathering of French altar servers in the Vatican Apostolic Palace. 

In his remarks, he extolled the importance of the Eucharist, calling it

“the treasure of the Church, the treasure of treasures.” 

He also emphasized that the Church has celebrated Mass “Sunday after Sunday” and declared that the Sunday Eucharist is what will save the world. 

The Pope was not merely speaking to Roman Catholics. 

He is seeking to save the world, and in doing so, he elevated Sunday observance as the universal practice necessary to bring salvation to everyone.

The Holy See Press Office published the Pope’s address, where he stated in part:
• “The Eucharist is the treasure of the Church, the treasure of treasures. Ever since the very first day of her existence, and then throughout the centuries, the Church has celebrated Mass, Sunday after Sunday, to remember what the Lord has done for her.”
• “The celebration of Mass saves us today! It saves the world today! It is the most important event in the life of the Christian and in the life of the Church, because it is the encounter in which God gives himself to us for love, again and again.“

When Pope Leo XIV declared that celebrating Mass “Sunday after Sunday” is what saves the world, his words were calculated—meant to apply not only to Catholics but to people of all faiths. 

This is exactly what the book of Revelation foretells about Babylon,

the harlot woman, and the beast—symbols that point to the Papacy.
Revelation says that the great harlot sits upon many waters, which represent “peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues” (Revelation 17:15). 

She commits fornication with “the kings of the earth” (Revelation 17:2), meaning she gains the attention, respect, and allegiance of world leaders. 

Revelation 18:3 says, “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,” which shows that Rome’s doctrines have had global reach and influence.
By claiming that Sunday worship is the act that “saves the world,” the Pope is positioning the papal system as the global voice of authority, offering his vision of what the world needs. 

Bible prophecy portrays the Papacy as a power that extends its influence into the political, social, and economic realms of the world."

Our very identity as a people is rooted in the call to “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Exodus 20:8), not to follow human tradition. 

The seventh-day Sabbath is not just a day of rest; it is a sign of loyalty to the Creator (Ezekiel 20:12, 20). 

It was sanctified at Creation, 

reaffirmed in the Ten Commandments, 

and upheld by Jesus and the apostles."

What to Fear of the IMAGE OF THE BEAST

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Revelation 13:15

IN the NEWS - Secular Brown University calls for Sunday Sacredness

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Isaiah 24:5

"The Brown Daily Herald, the newspaper serving the Ivy League Brown University community in Providence, Rhode Island, ran an

article in which it called for Sabbath rest to be “enforced” and said that it must be “communal,” meaning that a day of rest must be imposed by force upon all members of the community. This is, in theory, the very essence and meaning of a Sunday law. The university’s community newspaper doubled down on the enforcement of the Sabbath by claiming that sacrifices must be made even if it inconveniences other people.

The Brown Daily Herald expressed the following:
• “On Sunday afternoons, I would go to church with my friends and spend the rest of the day with them playing cards and making dumplings.”
• “To observe the Sabbath day is one of the Ten Commandments. However, in my experience, it’s the one commandment that

Christians, myself included, don’t even make an effort to keep. We live in a culture that prizes the hustle and devalues rest.”
• “The Sabbath must be enforced, and it must be communal. Forced rest might seem like an oxymoron, but just like exercise or study, rest is something that should be done regularly, even when it isn’t convenient. Put it on your Google Calendar. A 24-hour day of rest is ideal — my Sabbath is noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday — but if you can’t do that, take 12 hours. Take three hours. Like any commitment, the Sabbath entails sacrifice.”

The enforcement of a false day of rest through civil legislation will trample on the rights of conscience, compelling everyone to conform to a false system of worship under the threat of economic and social sanctions. 

This is the very definition of the mark of the beast.
True worship can never be legislated, and the Lord’s Sabbath is a sign between Him and His people, a sacred rest that stems from love and conviction, not coercion. "

ASSYRIA (persecuted Israel and conquered Egypt)

BABLYLON (conquered Assyria and God's people)

PERSIA (conquered Babylon and persecuted Esther)

GREECE (conquered Persia and persecuted God's people)

The one that "is" in John's day is obvious:

ROME (conquered Greece and persecuted God's people)

The one that was yet to come would be---

PAPAL ROME (Papal persecution that wore the saints)

Hence this Triple 6-6-6 system of the 3, reaching the level of 6---falling short of God's standard symbolized in His number of 7.

It is "of the seven" because the instigator is the "Man of Sin" Papal Rome who was of the 7.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed... 2 Thessalonians 2:3
