Papal Notes - Papal call to Sunday Sacredness

"A significant new development has emerged as Pope Leo XIV encourages people to attend church on Sunday by presenting Sunday as sacred time and connecting it with Christ’s authority and His Second Coming. 

The Pope also calls for the sanctification of Sunday and urges society to provide working conditions that will allow people to participate in Sunday Mass. 

This papal appeal is particularly significant because it increasingly connects Sunday observance with faithfulness and loyalty to Christ and the Church.

The Vatican Press Office published the following remarks by Pope Leo XIV on August 12, 2026:
• “The Council Fathers considered ‘the foundation and kernel of the whole liturgical year to be Sunday, the original feast day. In various

modern languages, its name indicates that it is the ‘dies Domini—the Lord’s day.’ Even in those languages where the reference to the ‘day of the sun’ (Sunday, Sonntag) has prevailed, the link with Christ can be discerned: Christ is the true ‘sun of righteousness’ who enlightens every person!”
• “Saint John Paul II, in the Apostolic Letter Dies Domini (31 May 1998), teaches that Sunday is the day of the Lord, the day of the Church, the day of man and, finally, the day of days. Since Sunday is the weekly Easter, recalling and making present the day upon which Christ rose from the dead, it is also the day which reveals the meaning of time.”
• “Christ’s Second Coming—Sunday foreshadows the last day, the day of the Parousia, when we shall all rise again.”
• “To sanctify Sunday, it is fundamental to celebrate the Eucharist. Listening to the Word and partaking of the Body of Christ entail, according to the Council Fathers, the coming together in unum, that is, the joyful gathering of the faithful.”
• “In this regard, I urge everyone to seek the best possible conditions so that even those who are unable to take time off work on Sundays may take part in Holy Mass.”

The next step will ultimately be the civil enforcement of Sunday observance, bringing it into direct conflict with the seventh-day Sabbath.

While Rome is calling the world to sanctify Sunday, the Three Angels’ Messages are calling the world back to the Creator and His

commandments, including the call to “worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Revelation 14:7)—a direct quote from the fourth commandment and a call to honor the true seventh-day Sabbath established by God at Creation."

"On May 25, 2026, the Vatican released Magnifica Humanitas, a landmark encyclical by Pope Leo XIV addressing issues such as government, the common good, labor, fraternity, and even rest.

Although the encyclical does not specifically mention Sunday, it does not have to. The document references Rerum Novarum 13 times and Pope Leo XIII 12 times in the actual text, showing that it is a continuation of his work. In other words, Leo XIV is building upon the foundation laid by his predecessor, who did in fact call upon governments to ensure Sunday as the day of rest.

The only difference this time is that in Magnifica Humanitas, Leo XIV re-elevates the call for governments to pass labor laws that ensure a proper balance between work and rest. In addition, the new encyclical highlights the role of the church in guiding, directing, and even instructing the state to promote the “common good”—Catholic social teaching. It also calls upon civil authorities to regulate and assume more control over free speech in digital media.

The Pope expressed the following in his new encyclical:
• Magnifica Humanitas #169 – “Labor policies need to promote continuity and the quality of employment, countering insecurity as a normal condition of life and encouraging realistic paths for entry into the workforce and for professional growth. 

Second, measures are needed to ensure a healthy way of living, for without a proper balance between work, leisure and rest, families are weakened and young people struggle to develop a sense of responsibility.”
• Magnifica Humanitas #63 – “It is the State’s responsibility to ensure cohesion, unity and the proper organization of civil society, so that the common good can be pursued with everyone’s contribution … When politics abandons a long-term perspective and reduces itself to short-term calculations or sterile polarizations, then the language of the common good loses credibility, and, at the same time, social inequalities and divisions grow.”
• Magnifica Humanitas #32 – “In the tragic context of the Second

World War … the Pope proposed a dialogue with society based on an appeal to natural law understood as a set of  objective principles that precede the interests of individuals and States, and which must regulate both the internal life of nations and their mutual relations.”
• Magnifica Humanitas #72 – “States and transnational institutions are called to ensure fair rules … When it comes to decisions regarding economic flows and digital platforms, as well as the governance of data and algorithms, we cannot allow a handful of actors to dictate these processes on their own; instead, we must build forms of cooperation that respect the various levels of the global community and make them jointly responsible for the common good.”

Pope Leo XIV’s Magnifica Humanitas is prophetically significant because it continues the Papacy’s long-standing effort to shape civil society through religiously influenced social policy.
Pope Leo XIV warns about tech companies having too much freedom to operate their digital platforms without government

oversight and calls for stronger controls and regulation. Increased calls for this type of centralized control over speech and digital participation raise concerns about restricting dissenting voices—especially religious minorities whose beliefs may be viewed as unpopular or contrary to those in positions of power." Papal Notes - Leo XIV vs. 4th Commandment

"On Sunday, March 15, 2026, during Mass at the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rome, Pope Leo XIV explicitly identified Sunday as “the Lord’s Day” in his homily, linking it with worship, gratitude, and the mystery of life. 

This language is significant because it reflects Rome’s longstanding effort to attach sacred authority to Sunday while obscuring the Biblical Sabbath, thereby openly demonstrating that it still regards itself as having the authority to redefine worship in defiance of the commandments of God.

• “Our Eucharistic celebration today, more than ever, is filled with joy. Indeed, the beauty of our gathering today is set against the backdrop of the Sunday known as ‘Laetare,’ meaning ‘rejoice‘.” 

• “Not only that: in the interrogation to which the blind man who can now see is subjected, it is above all Jesus who is put on trial, accused of having violated the Sabbath in order to heal him. Thus, another form of blindness is revealed in those present, one that is different and even more serious: that of failing to see, right before their eyes, the face of God, for which they trade the possibility of a saving encounter for the sterile security afforded by the legalistic observance of a formal discipline. Faced with such obtuseness, Jesus does not stop, showing that no “Sabbath” can stand in the way of an act of love. After all, the meaning of the Sabbath rest for the people of Israel – and for us on Sunday, the Lord’s Day – is precisely to celebrate the mystery of life as a gift, in the face of which no one can ignore the cry for help from a brother or sister who is suffering.” 

The continued elevation of Sunday as “the Lord’s Day” instead of the seventh-day Sabbath shows that the papal system still claims the very authority prophecy warned about—the authority to think it can change God’s moral law (Daniel 7:25). Rather than submitting to the plain commandment of Scripture, Rome continues to exalt human tradition above divine revelation, proving that the system of apostasy foreseen in prophecy is still alive and active before our eyes.

The Bible teaches that the Sabbath is still binding because it was established by God at Creation, long before there was a Jewish nation, when “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it” (Genesis 2:2–3). In the heart of God’s moral law, the Lord commands, “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy… the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God” (Exodus 20:8–11), and Scripture never records God changing this command.

Finally, the Bible points forward to the new earth, where “from one

sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 66:22–23). 

These texts show plainly that the seventh-day Sabbath, or Saturday, remains God’s holy day, unchanged and still binding upon His people."

The black Explorer Platinum, customized with a 3.3-liter V6 hybrid powertrain and 10-speed hybrid transmission, was assembled at Ford’s Chicago Assembly Plant, located about 5 miles from Leo’s hometown of Dolton. 

It also features vanity license plates that read “DA POPE” and “LEO XIV.”

"Pope Leo XIV celebrated the World Day of Human Fraternity with a global appeal for all people to unite as one family. Presented as a remedy for a divided world, the message called for shared values and

cooperation to “heal” what he described as deep-seated divisions. This language reflects the prophetic vision of a world coming together under a common banner in the last days.
The Vatican Press Office published the following remarks made by the Pope:
• “With great joy and a heart filled with hope, I address you for the first time on the occasion of the World Day of Human Fraternity and the 7th anniversary of the signing of the Document on Human Fraternity by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam Ahmad Al-Tayyeb.” 
• “At a time when the dream of building peace together is often dismissed as an outdated utopia, we must proclaim with conviction that human fraternity is a lived reality, stronger than all conflicts, differences and tensions.” 
• “By choosing the demanding path of solidarity over the easy path of indifference, they have demonstrated that even the most deep-seated divisions can be healed through concrete action. Their work bears witness to the conviction that the light of fraternity can prevail over the darkness of fratricide.”

The book of Revelation warns that a time is coming when the world will be drawn into a single global system—uniting political power, religious authority, economic control, and military force. Prophecy

portrays a dominant religious power, identified as the first beast, receiving the allegiance of the world, while a second power compels worship and enforces conformity. This authority extends to every nation, language, and people, making participation unavoidable. Identified in Scripture as Babylon the Great and the Mother of Harlots, this unity will not be righteous or led by Christ; it will be deceptive and opposed to the commandments of God.
“And power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” Revelation 13:7.
“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Revelation 17:13.
“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her.” Revelation 18:3."

Papal Notes - Traditions of Men

"Pope Leo XIV addressed visitors from around the world on the relationship between Scripture and tradition. In his remarks, the Pope reaffirmed the long-standing Roman Catholic principle that church tradition stands on the same level as—if not above—the Holy

Scriptures. 

This position stands in direct contrast to historic Protestant belief, which holds that when tradition becomes a second authority in the church, it gains the power to reinterpret, correct, or even override what God Himself has written, making the final judge of truth no longer God’s Word but fallible men who claim the authority to define tradition.

The Holy See Press Office published the following statement from Pope Leo XIV:
• “Today we will reflect on the relationship between Sacred Scripture and Tradition.”
• “It is what the Second Vatican Council affirms, using an evocative image: ‘There exists a close connection and communication between sacred tradition and Sacred Scripture. For both of them, flowing from the same divine wellspring, in a certain way merge into a unity and tend toward the same end.”
• “The Council affirms that ‘this tradition which comes from the Apostles develops in the Church with the help of the Holy Spirit.”

• “Sacred tradition and Sacred Scripture form one sacred deposit of the word of God, committed to the Church, interpreted by the living teaching office of the Church, whose authority is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ.”

When human tradition is treated as authoritative, it can supersede and effectively nullify God’s commandments by substituting His clear instructions with man-made rules. Jesus Himself rebuked religious leaders for elevating human tradition in a way that set aside the Word of God:
“For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men.” 

Mark 7:8.

“Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” 

Mark 7:13.

“But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” 

Matthew 15:9.

When tradition is viewed as equal to the Holy Scriptures, it becomes a rival rule of faith—an alternate standard that many end up following instead of submitting to what God’s Word actually teaches."

"When you listen carefully to the statements made by Lebanon’s leaders during the Pope’s visit, it becomes clear that people are misplacing their hope. 

Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai openly said that the nation is depending on the Pope’s visit to “turn the page” and bring “hope and peace.” 

His words present the Pontiff as the key figure capable of renewing the country, healing divisions, and guiding Lebanon through its “very, very critical moment.”
In Lebanon, many are looking to the Pope as their source of hope, believing that his visit can bring change and a fresh start for their troubled nation. These leaders describe his presence as the key to “opening a new page,” revealing a growing dependence on Rome and its leader as the answer to Lebanon’s crisis, rather than looking to Christ—the only true source of lasting peace, hope, and restoration.
The Bible consistently warns that ultimate hope cannot be found in

man: “Cursed be the man that trusteth in man” (Jeremiah 17:5).

among all religions and for the rejection of all forms of “fundamentalism.” 

At first glance, this may sound like a simple invitation to global unity—but it isn’t. His own words make it clear that there will be no room for those who stand firmly on Scripture or who proclaim the distinct end-time warnings of Revelation 13 and 14.
Vatican released the following statement from Pope Leo XIV:
• “The more we are reconciled, the more we Christians can bear credible witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is a proclamation of hope for all. Moreover, it is a message of peace and universal fraternity that transcends the boundaries of our communities and nations.”

• “There is a universal fraternity of men and women regardless of ethnicity, nationality, religion or personal perspectives.”
• “Furthermore, we must strongly reject the use of religion for justifying war, violence, or any form of fundamentalism or fanaticism. Instead, the paths to follow are those of fraternal encounter, dialogue and cooperation.”
The Vatican defines unity in terms of universal fraternity, not in terms of Biblical truth.
The “fraternity” Pope Leo XIV promotes is not grounded in the commandments of God or in the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12), but in the deliberate setting aside of doctrinal differences so Christianity can speak with a single, ecumenical voice. " AdventMessenger

Papal Notes - New Ecumenical Charter

"Pope Leo XIV received the members of the Joint Committee of the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences (CCEE) and the Conference of European Churches (CEC) on Thursday, November 6, 2025. 

This was a gathering of Roman Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants as they came together at the Vatican for the signing of a new Ecumenical Charter, which was presented to the Pope.
For centuries, the Protestant churches of Europe stood as witnesses against the errors of Rome. Yet, in this moment, Protestant and Catholic leaders have signed a “joint statement” affirming a shared mission and “joint witness of Christianity.”
Revelation 13:3 states that “all the world wondered after the beast.” 

This “wondering” signifies admiration, cooperation, and the gradual surrender to the leadership of the Papacy. 

Bible prophecy describes a global religious system that unites the nations of the earth under a single moral and spiritual head. This new Ecumenical Charter embodies that very movement—bringing together the major world religions under Rome’s leadership in the name of Christian love and cooperation."

Papal Notes - Leo the Universalist?

"Pope Leo XIV led the Angelus prayer at the Vatican on the occasion of All Souls’ Day, the liturgical feast dedicated to remembering those who have died and are in purgatory. 

In his message, the Pope told the crowd that while they pray for those “departed souls” still being purified, they can be confident that no one will be lost and that, through God’s mercy, everyone will eventually be saved and reach Heaven. 

Once again, Pope Leo XIV’s words present a sad reflection that contradicts Sacred Scripture, asserting that we can have a second chance at salvation after death, even if we reject the Gospel invitation in this life.

The Holy See Press Office published the following remarks by Pope Leo:
• “The focus of God’s concerns is clear: that no one should perish forever and that everyone should have their own place and radiate their unique beauty.”
• “Today’s Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed brings this

mystery even closer to us. Indeed, each time that death seems definitively to take away a voice, a face, or an entire world, interiorly we understand God’s concern that no one perish.”
• “May Mary, the woman of Holy Saturday, teach us once again to hope.”
The error of universal salvation is the belief that in the end everyone will be saved, regardless of faith, repentance, or obedience to God. This teaching contradicts Scripture, denies the reality of eternal separation from God for the unrepentant, and undermines the reality of divine judgment. 

The Catholic doctrine of purgatory, while claiming to purify souls after death, feeds into this false assurance by teaching that even those who die in sin can eventually be cleansed and enter Heaven through suffering and, of course, through the prayers, masses, and penance of the living. 

In this way, purgatory eliminates the Biblical call to repentance in

this life and replaces it with a false hope of eventual universal redemption.
God’s word is clear that even though He desires for all to be saved, not everyone will accept His invitation.
---Jesus Himself declared that many will choose the broad road to destruction, while only a few find the way to life: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13–14." Papal Notes - King Charles about to Bend the Knee?

"King Charles III and the Queen Consort will travel to the Vatican

next week for a state visit, where the King and Pope Leo will pray together, the first time such a thing has happened in 500 years, if not longer.

Pope Leo XIV is to welcome King Charles III, the head of state of the United Kingdom and the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, to the Vatican on October 22nd and 23rd. 

While King Charles will not be the first British monarch to visit the Vatican — Queen Elizabeth II visited during her reign, for instance — the two men will pray together at the Sistine Chapel, reckoned by Buckingham Palace to be the first time this will have happened in some 500 years.

This claim dates back to King Henry VIII splitting from Rome in 1534, before there was even a United Kingdom, and Henry was the King of England only.
Yet King Henry VIII is not known to have ever visited Rome or met the then-Pope himself, so the date of the last time a ‘British’ King prayed alongside the Pope in Rome may have been hundreds of years before even that. King Canute, the Viking King of England, Denmark, and Norway certainly made a pilgrimage to Rome in 1027 — nearly exactly 1,000 years ago — and met Pope John XIX.

During the Sistine Chapel meeting planned for next week, priests from both the Catholic Church and Church of England will pray together — despite the Catholic Church not officially recognizing

Anglican priests as valid — in a show of Ecumenicalism that will also see a choir brought from Windsor Castle sing.
In another link to the pre-reformation relationship between Britain — then England — and Rome, King Charles will also be made a Royal brother of the confraternity of the Abbey at St Paul’s Outside the Walls, an ancient Church that was once closely linked to the English and even ancient pre-ancient monarchies which helped fund its upkeep. The King will receive a private seat at the Basilica with his coat of arms. As noted by Buckingham Palace:

"In further celebration of this new bond, the Basilica of St Paul’s Outside the Walls has created a special seat for His Majesty, which

will remain in the Basilica as a perpetual mark of mutual respect between Pope Leo and The King as Heads of State. The special chair is decorated with His Majesty’s Coat of Arms. The King will use this chair during the service, after which it will remain in the apse of the Basilica for future use by His Majesty and his heirs and successors."

The Times notes Saxon King Offa and Æthelwulf in the 8th and 9th centuries were supporters of St Paul’s, sending money for the protection of St Paul’s and St Peter’s tombs."

"Pope Leo XIV’s first apostolic exhortation, “Dilexi Te,” published on October 4, 2025, is an appeal to alleviate poverty and promote human solidarity. 

Yet beneath its calls for humanitarian work lies a deeper and more transformative vision—one that seeks to unite the world under a single political, religious, and moral order capable of implementing Christian-inspired social reforms on a global scale.

In Dilexi Te, Pope Leo repeatedly calls for “a community of all and for all,” a “more united country, a more fraternal world,” and cooperation with institutions such as the United Nations. 

His emphasis on “solidarity” and “universal fraternity” urges governments, popular movements, and international organizations to collaborate with the Church in reshaping the world’s social and economic systems. In doing so, the document elevates the Vatican as the world’s moral and spiritual leader, positioning it as the spiritual foundation for a new form of global governance—blending church and state as described in Bible prophecy.

Several sections of Dilexi Te explicitly call for collaboration among peoples, institutions, and nations toward a worldwide moral renewal.
• Paragraph 10: “It is to be welcomed that the United Nations has made the eradication of poverty one of its Millennium Goals.”
This statement openly connects the Vatican’s mission to UN objectives, showing direct cooperation between the Church and international agencies.
• Paragraph 73–75: “The Church’s mission to migrants and refugees … describes the Church’s mission to all those living in the existential peripheries … They are an occasion that Providence gives us to help build a more just society, a more perfect democracy, a more united country, a more fraternal world and a more open and evangelical Christian community.”
This statement is one of the clearest globalist appeals in the document and is a call to build a “more united world” through Christian moral cooperation, uniting spiritual and political goals. It also defined the church’s new mission: to establish the Kingdom of God in the current political framework through Vatican-based policies. This document makes the Pope out to be the moral voice for the world.

Pope Leo has thrown his lot in with the establishment as he takes a swipe at independent news----(repeating their talking points of inuendo that he here repeats) but hasn't the establishment news been the one caught LYING time and time again the past several years?

He also urged reporters to stand against anyone whose only goal is to divide.

“With your patient and rigorous work, you can act as a barrier against those who, through the ancient art of lying, seek to create divisions in order to rule by dividing,” he said. “You can also be a bulwark of civility against the quicksand of approximation and post-truth.”

His remarks were directed at sceptics who 'ridicule those who speak of global warming'. He firmly pledged the Church's commitment to planetary care, building on Francis' message.

Trump addressed the UN and dismissed climate change as a 'con job'. By referencing Francis' encyclicals, Leo positioned himself as a spiritual heir.

Sky News host James Morrow has mocked Pope Leo for “blessing blocks of ice” in a climate stunt. “Yet, what we see there, with that blessing a block of ice, that is a nod to the paganism of the environmental movement.”

"Pope Leo XIV addressed a gathering of French altar servers in the Vatican Apostolic Palace. 

In his remarks, he extolled the importance of the Eucharist, calling it

“the treasure of the Church, the treasure of treasures.” 

He also emphasized that the Church has celebrated Mass “Sunday after Sunday” and declared that the Sunday Eucharist is what will save the world. 

The Pope was not merely speaking to Roman Catholics. 

He is seeking to save the world, and in doing so, he elevated Sunday observance as the universal practice necessary to bring salvation to everyone.

The Holy See Press Office published the Pope’s address, where he stated in part:
• “The Eucharist is the treasure of the Church, the treasure of treasures. Ever since the very first day of her existence, and then throughout the centuries, the Church has celebrated Mass, Sunday after Sunday, to remember what the Lord has done for her.”
• “The celebration of Mass saves us today! It saves the world today! It is the most important event in the life of the Christian and in the life of the Church, because it is the encounter in which God gives himself to us for love, again and again.“

When Pope Leo XIV declared that celebrating Mass “Sunday after Sunday” is what saves the world, his words were calculated—meant to apply not only to Catholics but to people of all faiths. 

This is exactly what the book of Revelation foretells about Babylon,

the harlot woman, and the beast—symbols that point to the Papacy.
Revelation says that the great harlot sits upon many waters, which represent “peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues” (Revelation 17:15). 

She commits fornication with “the kings of the earth” (Revelation 17:2), meaning she gains the attention, respect, and allegiance of world leaders. 

Revelation 18:3 says, “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,” which shows that Rome’s doctrines have had global reach and influence.
By claiming that Sunday worship is the act that “saves the world,” the Pope is positioning the papal system as the global voice of authority, offering his vision of what the world needs. 

Bible prophecy portrays the Papacy as a power that extends its influence into the political, social, and economic realms of the world."
