Iran: RUNNING OUT OF WATER--LITERALLY--With a heatwave at 122F the country's drought has caused the government to beg for water from nearby countries including from Afghanistan. Capital of Tehran is about out of water. national estimates are, that unless major rains come, the country could be totally out by October. The lack of water has led to national rolling electricity blackouts----and massive anti-government protests.

“We have heard multiple stories this year of Bible study, a home church being raided. Everyone there is photographed; everyone there is questioned. But then the leader of the meeting is held on to. They are arrested. They are detained. They’re put in prison.”
The move toward Christianity is a surprising one for those of us familiar with Iran only as a merciless theocratic state. 

Yet, this isn’t a new phenomenon; in a 2023 piece for the Washington Stand, a Christian outlet, Lela Gilbert noted that a significant survey taken in 2020 by Gamaan, a secular Netherlands-based research group, reported that there are far greater numbers of Christian believers in Iran than ever before — more than a million. In fact, those involved with the ‘house church’ movement in Iran are convinced that there are likely several million Christian believers there."

IN the NEWS - Islamic Atheist Leader turns Christian

"Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a longtime critic of Islam and vocal atheist, has announced that she is now a Christian for both spiritual and civilizational reasons.

"I still have a great deal to learn about Christianity," she wrote in an

essay published this week. "I discover a little more at church..... But I have recognized, in my own long journey through a wilderness of fear and self-doubt, that there is a better way to manage the challenges of existence than either Islam or unbelief had to offer."

The famous Muslim apostate Hirsi Ali recalled that the Muslim Brotherhood had a unique ability to transform her and her fellow teenagers into activists almost overnight.

Amid strict prayer and fasting sessions, the Somali-born Hirsi Ali and her friends were taught to hate Jews and avoid indulging in early pleasures or else face the wrath of Allah.

She said that the "zero-cost escape" from a life of "self-denial" and "harassment" offered by atheism made the absence of belief appealing to her for a time. The atheists in her circle, like Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins, offered her a new circle of friends that were both fun and clever.

However, as Hirsi Ali witnessed the threats posed to Western civilization via authoritarian regimes like Russia and China, the rise of global Islamism and the "viral spread" of woke ideology, the benefits of atheism seemed inadequate to combat the issues of modern civilization.

"We endeavor to fend off these threats with modern, secular tools:

military, economic, diplomatic, and technological efforts to defeat, bribe, persuade, appease, or surveil. And yet, with every round of conflict, we find ourselves losing ground," she wrote.

The atheist doctrine of "God is dead," in her opinion, seemed now insufficient to find refuge in the "rules-based liberal international order." The solution, Hirsi Ali found, was an embrace of one's desire to uphold Judeo-Christian tradition.

She also praised the freedom of conscience and freedom found in Western civilization.

Hirsi Ali admitted that she found life without any spiritual aspect "unendurable," and atheism failed to answer the eternal question: What is the meaning and purpose of life?

The "God hole," as she described it, inevitably left a void that has been filled by a "jumble of irrational, quasi-religious dogma."

She believes without Christianity, the West cannot withstand China, Russia and Iran, cannot counter Islam with secularism and will be unable to fight "woke ideology," which she claimed is determined to "destroy civilization." FOX

VIOLENCE: Allow me to introduce another theory to man's theories

European researchers, who sought to learn about violence among humans at a time when written records are largely absent, came up with findings that don't neatly match either of the two narratives.

"A purposefully ambiguous “association of western intelligence organizations” hosts a unique public website titled “Stop 910”....it solicits information — in English, Spanish, and Arabic — to out sleeper agents of the notorious external terrorism service of

Hezbollah, Kourani known by the nom de guerre “Unit 910.” 

The “association” offers reward money, photos of suspected operatives it wants identified, and instructions on how to anonymously inform.
Among the documents pouring out of the Kourani case, for instance, are lightly redacted, normally classified internal FBI reports known as “FD-302 forms.” These publicly name 15 people whom Kourani fingered as probable Unit 910 operatives or Hezbollah-linked sympathizers in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Canada. 

The 302s name a Queens mosque Kourani told them was aligned with Hezbollah, and lists the names of reputed sympathizers involved in credit card fraud, counterfeit clothing businesses, an auto parts theft scam, and exporting cars to West Africa (a familiar Hezbollah global money-laundering hallmark). 

The other prosecution, not yet clearly connected to Kourani, names Samer El Debek of Dearborn, Michigan, as a 910 operative. Both were arrested in June 2017, but the El Debek proceedings have been purposefully delayed for unspecified reasons, so no new filings there." MS

IN the NEWS - Root cause of Terror Attack on Israel

"This violence 

---is not just played out during international conflicts, wars, or acts of terrorism; 

---this violence is also being repeated daily in our schools, homes, and in all segments of society.

In Gaza, videos are surfacing on social media of dead people being

paraded around like trophies in vehicles. After Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel, Israeli hostages, including soldiers, women, children, and babies, are being driven from their homes into Gaza. Palestinian paramilitaries crossed the border and indiscriminately began attacking women and children as more than 5,000 rockets were launched into Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is at war, and they are currently launching a retaliation.

What is most disturbing about all this is that this most recent attack was paid for with US tax dollars. The United States has directly given around $500 million to the Palestinians. President Joe Biden just weeks ago gave Iran, which funds and supports Hamas, $6 billion during a prisoner swap.

It is also interesting to note that Iran has just praised Hamas for its

attack on Israel and has promised to aid the group in its struggle.

The Bible reveals to us why there is so much war, violence, and terror increasing in the world today. 

It also explains why political leaders are incapable of stopping these acts. 

The problem is that acts of war, terror, and sin do not only come because of greed, racial tensions, or religious conflicts. 

The Bible tells us that these are only symptoms of a much deeper problem. God identifies that the real issue for all the tragedies we are seeing today is the human heart.

“From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?” James 4:1.

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mark 7:21-23.

Corrupt and wicked thoughts, 

actions, reasoning, passions, 

and appetites are the results of a sinful and unregenerate heart. 

It is only the restraining work of the Spirit of God upon the heart that can contain and suppress the evil thoughts and affections that control men.

There will never be an end to the conflicts we are seeing today, not until Jesus Christ returns to establish His kingdom of perfect justice and righteousness.

“The ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly. The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man. The earth mourneth and languisheth.” Isaiah 33:7-9."

We've seen sociel unrest over the unraveling global economy in Sri Lanka and Peru. Now Iran....who will be next? How might this play into calls for a global programable digital currency?

The question is: Will Americans take to the streets shouting “Death to Biden” over their hungry infants?

WE do NOT believe in "prophecy by headline" where every event in the news is used to excite people as a fulfillment of prophecy...BUT....here we have 2 quakes rocking two sides of planet earth the same day. (Yeah I know Iran has lots of quakes so by itself it doesn't mean anything).

Question is---what is going on in the earth's plates?

More to the point is that this serves as a backdrop to the planet coming off 2 years of pandemic, social unrest, surge of inflation and now war as well as some calling for Green Lockdowns based on COVID Lockdowns (sort of a Laudato Si' style Green Lockdown on Sundays--which is what Laudato Si' is really calling for).....who knows if these twin quakes of harbingers of more to come OR just the same old qaukes we get every year....oh, and let's not forget about the push for programmable Digital Currency...oh, and the predictions of a FOOD SHORTAGE later this year....we've been here before in history---EXCEPT for the Digital Currency to control your buying and selling globally and being like the days of Lot as LGBTmania sweeps the Globe and even Churches......those are unique this time so I think your getting the picture...And one more thing--those nasty solar flares that can knock out power (already destroying earlier this year 40 satellites of Elon Musk's and hampering radio transmissions over the Indian Ocean) is expected to peak by 2025 and could be exceptionally bad....

"A gruesome video shows an Iranian “man” smiling as he tours a neighborhood showing off his wife’s severed head in one hand and a large knife in his other.

Sajjad Heydari decapitated his wife in an “honor killing.” What did the 17-year-old woman do to deserve this? She was sick of being abused. According to the New York Post, Mona Heydari married her cousin Sajjad when she was 12 years old. 

 

She was a victim of ongoing domestic abuse.

Mona decided she’d had enough beatings and moved to Turkey to escape her husband’s abuse. She allegedly found it difficult to live in a foreign country and came back. That’s when her husband and his brother decided an “honor killing” was necessary. The two brothers tied up her hands and cut off her head.

 

Sajjad Heydari then decided to show the people in his neighborhood what he had done. The video shows him proudly smiling as he walks barefoot through a residential neighborhood in the city of Ahvaz, carrying his wife’s head."

ARCHAEOLOGY: Salting those Dino Bones-- Iranian Sheep Case Study

"About 1,600 years ago, salt miners in Iran apparently left their lamb lunch down the shaft. Their loss became scientists' gain. The now-mummified sheep carcass suggests that salt helps preserve

sheepskin DNA.

The research results, published in Biology Letters, showed probably the best-preserved DNA from any skin from that time. They sequenced DNA from the sheep skin and discovered that it was high enough quality to compare against modern sheep. Does this “exceptional ancient DNA preservation” have any bearing on discussions about preserved dinosaur DNA?

This sheep skin sample had much less degraded DNA than other samples about the same age (1,600 years). The study authors attributed the exceptional preservation to two effects of the salt. First, it dried out the skin. Less water means less chemistry, and random chemistry is the enemy of DNA preservation. Second, the salt may have discouraged microbes that ordinarily degrade carcasses.

These effects make sense in light of the way we have used salt to preserve foods like bacon. Microbes don’t thrive in dry, salty conditions. But even with salt right next to the sheep skin to keep microbes at bay, the sheep DNA was still fragmented. Clearly, chemistry has been happening on that DNA, even with salt nearby.

The report cited a separate study explaining why DNA is expected to decay. Its authors wrote, “Fragmentation through depurination is a well-characterized process.” They also said, “The immutable depurination process likely still imposes practical limits on DNA recovery in deep time and recovering Mesozoic DNA, for example, remains extremely unlikely.”

Thus, even if salt doubled the maximum time that DNA in skin could last, we still shouldn’t find it in dinosaur bones said to be 70 million years old. And yet we do—and none of those fossils were found next to salt.

In the end, immutable depurination destroys DNA, yet actual DNA occurs in some rare fossils. Salt-preserved DNA in a sheep’s skin doesn’t resolve this huge discrepancy, but a young world would. A Noah’s Flood origin for fossils including dinosaur bones places them within a time range where we would still expect to find some rare DNA fragments even without salt." ICR
