Archaeology: Ichthyosaurs Graveyard

"Ichthyosaurs are marine reptiles that occur globally in the same rock layers as dinosaurs. Specimens with babies support the idea that they gave live birth, unlike most of today’s reptiles.

A pregnant ichthyosaur fossil named Fiona offers new information about the lifestyles of these marine predators.

Originally discovered in 2009 and excavated in 2022 near the Tyndall Glacier in Torres Del Paine National Park, southernmost Chile, it is the first complete ichthyosaur found in Chile. The same site has produced an additional 86 ichthyosaur specimens to date, qualifying the locality as a Lagerstätte deposit, or a fossil graveyard. All seem to have been buried rapidly in wet sand that has since turned to sandstone.

Fiona was taken out of the ground in five pieces and flown by helicopter to a nearby ranger station before being shipped to the research laboratory at the Natural History Museum Río Seco in Punta Arenas, Chile.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Fiona is that her snout was found to have been pushed about four inches into the sand during burial, causing the skeleton to twist and exposing its right side. Science writer Jordan Joseph further described the specimen.
Inside her body were fossilized fish vertebrae, which indicate that her last meal had not yet been digested. The fetus was also mostly intact and appeared ready for birth, with its tail oriented toward what would have been the exit path from the mother.

Joseph added this about Fiona’s rapid burial,

"The fossil reveals a story of sudden burial. Scientists suspect an underwater landslide pushed down a heavy flow of sand that covered Fiona almost instantly, and led to excellent conditions for the preservation of both mother and unborn baby."

To explain the other 86 ichthyosaur fossils at the site, the science team postulated that repeated underwater landslides catastrophically buried each of them. 

Q: But where are marine animals being buried completely, so perfectly, and in such numbers today? 

--In addition, these fossils are found on the continent, not in the deep ocean.

A better explanation is that Fiona and the other ichthyosaurs were

buried in the catastrophe of the global Flood described in Genesis. The forces behind her sudden burial are best explained by super-sized, tsunami waves generated by tectonic activity during the Flood year. Earthquakes can generally create a series of tsunamis. 

--Each wave could have carried in several living ichthyosaurs from the ocean depths, rapidly burying them in sand and mud. 

While it’s impossible to tell if Fiona was giving birth at the time of her burial or if the baby was simply pushed out by the compaction process, it’s clear that ichthyosaurs gave life birth. Fiona is a reminder of the judgement of the Flood. Her unfortunate burial while pregnant is a consequence of Adam’s sin and rebellion against Jesus Christ, our Creator. With the rest of creation, Christians look forward to the day when God will “make all things new” (Revelation 21:5)." ICR

"Traffic through the Panama Canal is nearly half-capacity these days. Normally, 40 ships take the world’s greatest shortcut through its locks each day. Last week, the Canal Authority reduced daily

passages to 25, while predicting further cuts to 18 by February. The immediate cause is Panama’s driest October since recordkeeping began in 1950. 

Panama is not the only Latin American country currently facing water scarcity. To the contrary, the entire region is in the grips of a dry spell. A historic drought is ravaging Brazil's Amazon, with a record 3,858 fires ripping through the state of Amazonas this month. 

With their “river highway” drained, riverine communities face emergency-level shortages in food, medicine and drinking water, while endangered river dolphins and other species are dying en masse. 

Meanwhile, farmers from the Dominican Republic to Argentina are reporting millions of dollars in crop losses. The Dominican Republic sealed its border with Haiti over a water dispute. 

Mexico City is rationing water due to reservoirs at historic lows at the end of what is supposed to be its rainy season. Water supplies stored in the glaciers of the Andes are receding, reducing their ability to replenish drainage basins and aquifers with meltwater during warmer, drier months, leading western Bolivia to ration water. 

Central Chile is buckling under 14 years of consecutive drought, which analysts have taken to calling a “mega drought.” 

Warmer surface waters block upwelling of nutrient-rich, cold waters from the ocean’s depths. Fewer nitrates and phosphates reach the surface, reducing the phytoplankton population. That in turn ripples up the food chain. Fish stocks plummet as species die or migrate, wreaking havoc on communities that depend on them for their livelihoods." MS

"News broke in late October 2023 that Sabrina Durán Montero, a "narco influencer" who had hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok, had died. Sabrina, who was just 24 years old, died under pretty horrific circumstances, and reporting suggests that she earned her "narco" reputation. She attracted a lot of attention on TikTok because she was the Narco Queen.

Sabrina was apparently shot in broad daylight in her car in Chile, and now, many want to better understand what happened to her, and why

she was killed. 

Durán, a mother-of-one, was on her way to a nail salon when she was stopped by three men in the Santiago town of Padre Hurtado. Chilling video recorded by a bystander showed Sabrina Durán, 24, lying face down in the middle of a street in Santiago on Tuesday morning after being shot by a masked assailant. 

In the footage Durán is already seen laying on the ground trying to get up when a gunman steps forward and fires multiple shots before using her vehicle to escape. The killers stole her vehicle following the hit, and it was found burnt about a half-hour away from the scene of the crime. Sabrina was rushed to a local hospital following the shooting with eight gunshot wounds, but doctors were unable to save her.

Sabrina and two of her brothers were apparently arrested at the beginning of 2023 because they were suspected of supplying, distributing and trafficking cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, and magic mushrooms.

While she was incarcerated, Sabrina apparently began a relationship with Antonella Marchant, the leader of the Los Marchant gang who was arrested in 2021 and is currently spending 15 years in prison.
She attempted to escape prison by jumping from the third floor with other inmates before they were all captured.

Sabrina was apparently on parole at the time of her death. Sabrina

posted on TikTok under the handle @katrinagusman, and has more than 600,000 followers....Sabrina was a famed local drug trafficker who went by the alias “La Ina." Police believe that her killing may have been a move to settle scores by a rival drug gang. Local police chief Leonel Muñoz said that Sabrina “had a criminal record, specifically for receiving stolen vehicles and drug trafficking, and had been released from serving a sentence approximately a month ago." As a church we can inform that, in the area of Chillán Viejo, Quillón, Ñipas and Carrizal, brethren and their families have been taken to

houses of church members, shelters and homes of relatives, as a measure of prevention and care, following the indications of government authorities.

In response to the needs that are presented, the Adventist School of Chillán (Bulnes 567, Chillán) has been enabled to receive donations of food, clothes in good condition and bottled water, on Friday, February 03, 2023, from 09:00 to 16:00 hours, which will go to help the affected communities." La Quintrala and the 2nd Resurrection

 La Quintrala (1604-1665) was A colonial nightmare for those
around her in Chile of German, Spanish & Inca descent. 

She was a well connected woman of Chilean nobility whose family connections would keep her out of prison and from the hangman's noose during her lifetime (although she'd be arrested but released occasionaly for her evil crimes).

Her older sister Maria was expelled to Peru for attempted murder early on--so her and her sister shared in the evil heart.

La Quintrala's first suspected murder was that of her own father whom her own relatives tried to have her charged with.

She married multiple times suspected of killing some of her husbands. Also, some of her lovers she would stab to death and blame a slave who would be executed for it.

She was most famous for killing her slaves through various tortures she'd think up. One time when most of her slaves ran off because of her cruelty (this was after she had killed one for fun and left the corpse to rot in the open for 2 weeks) she tracked them down and gleefully had them tortured.

She was well known around town for bribing officials who would investigate her crimes including her abuse of her slaves.

In her will she left her money from her estates to the Church including large sums to pay for many masses for her soul. She also left some for the Augustinian order of the Church.

*Sadly for  La Quintrala NO AMOUNT OF MONEY can save her soul. 

You cannot BUY your own forgiveness. And unless she had a true repentance as she lived and died alone in her home in the end - she will find out the hard way during the second resurrection.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, (1st resurrection) and some to shame and everlasting contempt (2nd resurrection)....But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished (2nd resurrection).... "Gabriel Boric had only been in office for a day when he organized a pagan ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Chile. On Saturday, March 12, 2022, Gabriel Boric began his second day as President by performing a pagan rite with members of the Yagán, Lican Antai, Mapuche Pewenche, Rapa Nui, Mapuche Lafkenche, Diaguita, Füta Warria, and Colla indigenous faiths.

Later that day, President Gabriel Boric attended an interfaith prayer and worship service with Adventists, Roman Catholics, Evangelicals, and indigenous spirit mediums.

President Gabriel Boric expresses his plans to collaborate and dialogue with witch doctors, spirit mediums, and those involved in ancestral worship as part of the new “intercultural work” and “relationship between the government and the original (indigenous) peoples.”

Later that day President Gabriel Boric and members of his cabinet attended an interfaith prayer and worship service in Santiago’s Roman Catholic cathedral. 

The same spirit and message that were present when President Gabriel Boric participated in the indigenous pagan worship ceremony were carried over to the Christian churches’ ecumenical service.

The President of the Chilean Episcopal Conference, Rome’s highest governing authority in Chile, Cardinal Celestino Aós, Archbishop of Santiago, presided over the ceremony. Once again, Rome was in control. In his speech, Cardinal Celestino Aós spoke of the need to “seek a Chile where we all live together, respecting each other, listening to each other, dialoguing, collaborating” and “fostering a mystique of brotherhood” while building “a more efficient social organization.”

The Prayer to Saint Francis of Assis was sung at the end of the ecumenical service."

IN the NEWS - Rumblings from Chile

"On December 1, 2021, leftist members of Chile’s Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Legislature of Chile, presented a bill that says “trade workers can enjoy Sunday and holidays as a day of rest.” 

This law if passed would establish a precedent by enshrining Sunday as a day of rest in Chilean federal legislation. Even while this regulation would only apply to malls and larger retailers, once the precedent is set, more restrictive Sunday provisions, such as the shutdown of all commercial transactions on Sunday, can be easily imposed in the future.

The five deputies who introduced this bill were Cristina Girardi, the author of the bill and member of Chile’s Party for Democracy (PPD), a left-leaning socialist party; Camila Vallejo and Karol Cariola, members of the Communist Party of Chile (PC); Pamela Jiles, a member of the Humanist Party of Chile (PH); and Felix Gonzales, from Chile’s Green Ecologist Party (PEV).

Here we see liberals, humanists, communists and radical environmentalists all advocating for Sunday rest. They are not campaigning for workers to rest on Sunday as a “religious” requirement; rather, they are pushing for Sunday rest as a matter of social justice. 

----Tragically, the churches will not oppose these Sunday laws because they stand to benefit the most from them. The origin of Sunday laws comes from the change of God’s law in the 4th Commandment, and they only work to serve the interests of Rome." AdventMessenger

SDA Issues - ULTIMATE REBELLION at Colegio Adventista de Molina

"Social justice is not Biblical justice. 

Sadly, too many churches and Seventh-day Adventists have joined the revolution.

On April 15, 2021, students at the Colegio Adventista de Molina located in Maule, Chile, denounced their own school for expressing “discrimination” and “hatred” against the LGBT+ community. 

The students also refused to continue taking a mandatory religious course on Biblical sexuality. The students contacted the Movement for Homosexual Integration and Liberation (Movilh), an LGBT+ rights organization, and a complaint has now been filed with “the Superintendent of Education, Cristián O’Ryan, so that he could investigate the complaint made by the students and punish those responsible.”

The Adventist institution was accused of teaching its students “hate” through a required course that included the following statements about sex:

“God created a healthy human sexuality, and homosexuality was never intended to exist. He never wanted any result of sin to be present in our life. But, since sin and temptation are realities in today’s world, we must choose to live pure and holy lives despite the temptations that come our way.”

“The Bible considers homosexuality unacceptable for a Christian, although tendencies and inclinations are not sinful. However, we are all responsible for what we do with our tendencies and inclinations. From the Biblical perspective it does not really matter how we arrive at a condition, tendency or inclination, but how we act when faced with it, be it alcoholism, homosexuality, drug addiction and lewd thoughts.”

The LGBT+ activist group, Movihl, wrote a letter to the Seventh-day Adventist academy telling them that their views about homosexuality had no relationship with “the Bible, with religion, and even less with legislation, since they openly violate the Zamudio Law, the Law on School Violence and the Law of Educational Inclusion.” 

Whenever our youth begins reporting our church schools to the authorities for simply teaching the Bible, know for sure that the following words will soon come to pass: “And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.” Matthew 10:21.

 We are dealing with people who simply refuse to believe and obey

the plain words of Scripture. And this defiance will only continue to grow as long as we have modern deconstructionists trying to erode or rewrite God’s law.

“Divisions will come in the church. Two parties will be developed” (Selected Messages, Vol. 2, p. 114).

“The history of the rebellion of (Korah) Dathan and Abiram is being repeated, and will be repeated till the close of time. Who will be on the Lord’s side? Who will be

deceived, and in their turn become deceivers?” (Letter 15, 1892).

“God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will sift them, separating the chaff from the wheat. The Lord calls upon all who believe His word to awake out of sleep” (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 707).

These open acts of hostility against God that took place at the Colegio Adventista de Molina are causing great confusion today; and when we sow confusion, we will reap confusion. This is exactly what we are reaping now." AdventMessenger

Paths From Babel: to the Pre-Columbian Andeans

Apparently a group from Babel halted in the Highlands and at a very early date some branched off to the coast and remained apart for a time.

"A large international team of researchers has conducted the first

in-depth, wide-scale study of the genomic history of pre-Columbian Andean civilizations such as the Moche, Wari, Tiwanaku, Nazca, and Inca.

The scientists found that groups living in the Andean highlands became genetically distinct from those that eventually came to live along the Pacific coast. The effects of this early differentiation are still seen today.
“The genetic fingerprints distinguishing people living in the

highlands from those in nearby regions are remarkably ancient,” said first author Nathan Nakatsuka....the population of the north also developed distinct genetic signatures from populations that became prevalent in the south. Again, these differences can be observed today.
After that time, gene flow occurred among all regions in the Andes, although it dramatically slowed after 2,000 years ago.

There were two exceptions to the slowing of migration, and these were within the Tiwanaku and Inca populations, whose

administrative centers were largely cosmopolitan — people of diverse ancestries living side-by-side. “Archaeology shows the Inca occupied thousands of miles from Ecuador through to northern Chile — which is why when Europeans arrived they discovered a massive Inca empire, but we found close genetic relationships between individuals at the extreme edges of the empire.”
