"Even though the Canadian Charter explicitly guarantees “freedom of conscience and religion,” Ontario doctors with a religious objection to committing euthanasia or abortion were denied conscience

protections by courts, thereby requiring them to kill or refer to a doctor they know will kill (“effective referral”) or face professional discipline. The judge ruled that if they didn’t like it, they should get out of medicine.

In Quebec, public religious practice is in danger of being further suppressed than it already is. The province previously banned the wearing of religious symbols by public sector employees. Now, the ruling government wants to curtail religious practices more broadly and has filed Bill 9, “An Act Respecting the Reinforcement of Laicity in Québec,” toward attaining that end.

Among its provisions, the bill would ban group prayer in public places like parks:

"No public road, within the meaning of the third paragraph of section 66 of the Municipal Powers Act (chapter C-47.1), or public park may be used for the purposes of collective religious practice unless a municipality authorizes, exceptionally and on a case-by-case basis, such a use in its public domain by resolution of the municipal council."

Another aspect of the bill would ban the accreditation of religious schools and repeal existing accreditations:

"No accreditation may be granted to an institution whose provision of educational services prescribed in the basic school regulation during the hours of activities devoted to those services, or whose provision of childcare services, is based on religious standards or precepts, on the transmission of religious convictions or beliefs, or on religious practice, or to an institution that practices segregation, in particular on the basis of religious criteria, in the selection of students or of personnel members."

An accreditation may be revoked under section 123 for failure to comply with the conditions set out in the first paragraph.

It even bans the use of religious symbols in communications:

"No institution or body referred to in section 3 may prominently display a representation of a religious symbol in its communications, unless that religious symbol is an integral part of the logo or coat of arms used by the institution or body on (insert the date preceding the date of introduction of this bill)."

From Space: Now 3/atlas, possibly a comet/asteroid is hurtling toward earth. It wasn't noticed until recently because it's path was

The many natural disasters of the more than 3 weeks now have

shown no signs of letting up.....by themselves they would be the few isolated natural disasters every year around the globe. 

But the last 3 weeks or so has been non stop---the amount on a scale for a short time that I've never seen before....especially in China. About the only thing that hasn't hit China recently is a solar flare burst taking out swaths of the power grid or an asteroid hitting a city.....could that be some of the "fearful sights .... shall there be from heaven"?

counselors who assist individuals seeking to leave or alleviate their homosexuality and align their gender identity with their biological sex.

Introduced by the Socialist Parliamentary Group (GPS) and supported by multiple parties by a vote 311-33, Spain’s lower house passed the initial stage of a legislative amendment that would “penalize conversion therapies aimed at eliminating or denying sexual orientation, sexual identity or gender expression” by imposing prison terms of six months to two years for those found providing such services.

The bill is remarkably similar to one that passed in Canada in 2021, which made it a crime to offer conversion therapy services with punishments up to five years in prison.

In Spain, conversion therapy is defined as “the promotion or practice of aversion, conversion, or counterconditioning methods, programs, or therapies, whether psychological, physical, or drug-based, that aim to modify the sexual orientation, sexual identity, or gender expression of people, regardless of the consent they or their legal representatives may have given.”

The AEE contends that the bill mischaracterizes genuine pastoral care and personal guidance as harmful “conversion therapy,” with one commenter noting the hypocrisy of progressives insisting that everything is fluid- sex, gender, identity-until that fluidity goes the other way. Others wondered what support would be available for de-transitioners and whether pastors offering support would be charged as they progress."

ARCHAEOLOGY: River of Death

And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: Genesis 7:23

"Paleontologists in Alberta, Canada, have recently unearthed “a mass grave on a monumental scale.” The BBC story speaks of

"Thousands of dinosaurs [that] were buried here, killed in an instant on a day of utter devastation."

Now, a group of palaeontologists have come to Pipestone Creek -

appropriately nicknamed the “River of Death”.
The question and answer regarding the mass dinosaur death is found in the same sentence above. It was a massive flood (“river”) of death that killed them 4,500 years ago. Unfortunately, paleontologists will not accept this hypothesis and unnecessarily place the event many millions of years ago.

In Michael Benton’s paleontology text in the section on dinosaur extinction, he lists “three current models to explain the KPg [Cretaceous-Paleogene or K-T extinction] event.”

These are the impact hypothesis (i.e., the giant asteroid impact supposedly 66 million years ago), the volcanic hypothesis, and the multiple causes hypothesis. 

In the multiple causes hypothesis he mentions “evidence of numerous killing agencies, including impact, marine regression [sea level drop], volcanic activity, and changes in climate.” Alas, the most obvious “agency” is not mentioned: a worldwide deluge.

Indeed, on the same page of Benton’s text he states,

"Over the years, more than a hundred hypotheses have been presented for the extinction of the dinosaurs....From about 1920, dozens of hypotheses were put forward, ranging from the physiological (slipped discs, excessive hormone production, loss of their sex drive) to the ecological (competition with mammals, change in plant food), from the climatic (too hot, too cold, too wet) to the terrestrial catastrophic (vulcanism, magnetic reversal), from the topographic (marine regression, mountain building) to the extraterrestrial (sunspots, cometary impact)."

As one can see, any explanation is valid—no matter how outrageous—except the most obvious: a global flood. A section of the BBC article has a most telling title: “A Sudden Devastating Event.” Morelle and Francis state,

“We believe that this was a herd on a seasonal migration that got tangled up in some catastrophic event that effectively wiped out, if not the entire herd, then a good proportion of it,” Prof [Emily] Bamforth says. All the evidence suggests that this catastrophic event was a flash flood - perhaps a storm over the mountains that sent an unstoppable torrent of water towards the herd, ripping trees from

their roots and shifting boulders. Prof Bamforth says the Pachyrhinosaurus wouldn't have stood a chance. “These animals are not able to move very fast because of their sheer numbers, and they're very top heavy - and really not very good at swimming at all.” Rocks found at the site show the swirls of sediment from the fast-flowing water churning everything up. It’s as if the destruction is frozen in time as a wave in the stone."

To be fair, as one can see, they do mention a flood—a local flash flood.
One cannot help but be amazed that when viewing Pipestone Creek and other massive graveyards, the paleontological community is so blind that they are unwilling to consider the obvious Genesis Flood explanation for dinosaur fossils. 

This is a clear example of what is called confirmation bias—the propensity to interpret information or evidence in ways consistent with existing beliefs while rejecting others. 

Wearing such blinders has significantly influenced the interpretation of the fossil record for over a century and a half so that the worldwide sedimentary formations are only considered in a uniformitarian context. 

Virtually every dinosaur fossil ever found is ensconced in sedimentary or (rarely) volcanic sediments, indicating a sudden and catastrophic deposition. This is particularly true with rich Cretaceous dinosaur beds (e.g., the Lance and Ferris Formations in Wyoming and the Hell Creek Formation in Montana). 

Q: So why would paleontologists entertain bizarre extinction explanations such as slipped discs, sunspots, or magnetic reversals? A: Because if a scientist dismisses the global Flood out of hand, then anything goes when trying to explain the dinosaur demise. Anything.
The paleontologists are calling the Canadian mass grave the “River of Death,” but it should more accurately be called “The Flood of Death.”

If Jesus is dancing, then we should too.

Mixing religion with entertainment can dilute the purity and sincerity of worship. "During the first session of the 44th parliament, Bloc Québécois party leader Yves-François Blanchet, introduced a private members bill that would remove religious exceptions to the law that

criminalizes hate speech.

If someone is charged with hate speech in Canada, they can defend themselves in court by arguing they were, in good faith, making an argument based on their religious beliefs.

The bill got through the first reading in the House of Commons but then stalled in the parliamentary process, prompting the party to retable the bill, now known as C-373, to jump start the discussion. The bill is currently outside the Order of Precedence, meaning it has yet to be selected for debate, but would surely pass if Justin Trudeau and his government get their hands on it.

One of the bill’s sponsors, Sylvie Bérubé, insisted the bill must be passed, noting “It is quite sad that some people use their position of influence, religious or civil, even impunity conferred to them, to incite violence and hatred…(this bill) is about preserving peace of mind amongst Quebecois and Canadians and all communities that hateful words that incite violence should never be protected by the Criminal Code...”

"The Bay of Fundy in eastern Canada is famous for its enormous tides. At Hopewell Rocks, toward the end of the bay, the tide may rise as high as 46 feet, but it does not stay high very long. The water is

always moving, either up or down, and the level can change by 3 feet in 30 minutes.
The tides are eroding the cliffs and leaving stacks that are narrow at their base and look like ‘flower pots’ standing on the shore. These have fascinating names like Baby Elephant, Mother-in-law, and Lover’s Arch. 

Visitors to Hopewell Rocks, sometimes thousands a day, descend the Main Staircase at low tide and stroll across the ocean floor—until the water begins to rise again.
On-site interpreters gave talks about the local wildlife, sea life, and plant life, and told the geological story about how the rocks formed. Their story was one spanning eras of unimaginable time hundreds of millions of years ago.
When I descended the steps, I saw that the flower pots were made of gravel that had been cemented into stone. Some of the chunks of rock were angular but most were rounded. This conglomerate rock, as it is called, spoke of large quantities of fast flowing water. Rushing floodwaters would not have taken very much time to deposit that gravel. As I walked across the exposed ocean floor and examined the flower-pot stacks and cliffs, I realized I was looking at evidence from the global Flood of Noah’s time.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

*Early during Noah’s Flood, about 4,500 years ago, after the

floodwaters had been rising for a few months, they had deposited vast quantities of sediment in thick layers. Then, earth movements faulted and fractured the crust, as occurred in the Bay of Fundy area. Some areas were pushed up and others sank down, forming a ‘rift valley’.

*Floodwaters rushed into the rift.

*The rushing floodwaters eroded the higher land alongside, depositing thick layers of gravel into the rift. This has been called the Hopewell Conglomerate.

*As the rush of water eased, the valley filled with sand and

vegetation. The vegetation had been ripped up by the floodwaters, and was floating in huge rafts. After the vegetation was buried, heat transformed it, over the years, into coal.

*Further movements in the crust caused huge

volcanic eruptions.

*These earth movements tilted the land around the Bay of Fundy. They opened up the ocean basins allowing the floodwaters to drain off the continents.

*After the continents had drained, the warm oceans produced high

evaporation and high precipitation, which caused ice to build up on the land over several hundred years.

*When the oceans cooled, the glaciers melted back, and the Bay of Fundy emerged much like it is today." CMI
