SDA NEWS - SDA's on Catholic Radar

They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Psalm 140:3

"The Southern Cross, a widely read South African monthly Catholic magazine fully endorsed by the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference—the highest Catholic authority in the region—made a startling revelation on May 13, 2025.

In a bold and clear statement, The Southern Cross exposed the true objective of the ecumenical movement, declaring that its ultimate goal is to transition Seventh-day Adventists into full communion with the Catholic Church. This candid admission lifts the veil on years of ecumenical dialogue and confirms long-standing concerns about the movement’s real intentions.

The Southern Cross published the following:
From a Catholic perspective, the key disagreements with Seventh-day Adventists are clear. Seventh-day Adventists observe the Sabbath on Saturday, which contrasts with the Catholic tradition of observing the Lord’s Day on Sunday.”
Seventh-day Adventists do not recognize the authority of the Pope.
They also reject the Catholic doctrine of the immortality of the soul, believing instead in the concept of “soul sleep”, where the dead remain unconscious until the resurrection.
Furthermore, Seventh-day Adventists do not uphold the Catholic sacraments, particularly the Eucharist.”
Their practice of baptism by immersion for those who have reached an age of accountability differs from the Catholic tradition of infant baptism.”
Despite these differences, progress has been made. The Second Vatican Council’s Decree on Ecumenism, Unitatis Redintegratio, opened doors for dialogue with other denominations, including Seventh-day Adventists. More recently, joint statements and collaborative projects have highlighted areas of agreement and mutual respect. For instance, both groups have worked together on humanitarian efforts, such as disaster relief and health initiatives, reflecting a shared commitment to serving others.”

The Catholic Church’s statement lays bare the hidden agenda behind the ecumenical movement. It was never truly about the reasons our church leaders have promoted for years—such as sharing our beliefs, mingling, promoting religious liberty, or dispelling misconceptions. All of that now rings hollow."

SDA News - Steve Bannon on "The Great Controversy"

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion. Isaiah 52:7

"Steve Bannon rose to fame as the former editor-in-chief of Breitbart News, and then as the chief media strategist for the first Trump administration in 2017.
Bannon today hosts the popular conservative political podcast War Room.
Apparently while serving time in the Danbury Federal Correctional Facility in Connecticut for contempt of Congress, Bannon had a cellmate named Tim Huntsberger whose life was radically changed for the better because of the message of the Great Controversy.
Bannon says he is not familiar with Mrs. White’s writings personally or the Seventh Day Adventist Church, but that his experience with Huntsberger and the Friday night prison missionaries from the Seventh Day Adventist Church convinced him that it's improving peoples’ lives.
This book had a powerful impact on a guy who was a criminal,” says Bannon in the Facebook video. “It changed his life and really saved his life . . . This faith actually changed his life.”
Though Steve Bannon has been a polarizing figure, Adventists everywhere should pray for him now that he has come so close to the truth. If he were to convert, just think of those he could reach. He will likely read this great book.
Let this also be a reminder to faithful Adventists to continue faithfully passing out Great Controversylike the leaves of autumn” as Mrs. White counseled."

SDA News - Evil Stalks SDA Elementary School

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him:... and hands that shed innocent blood... Proverbs 6:16,17

"Two kindergarten students, ages 5 and 6, are in “extremely critical condition” after a shooting at a small Seventh-day Adventist School in California — with the suspected gunman dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
Gunfire broke out around 1 p.m. at the
Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists in Palermo, an elementary school with an enrollment of only 33 students.
This is horribly tragic,” Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said during a news conference near the school, shared by KCRA.
Honea said the suspected shooter — who has not yet been identified — was dropped off at the school by a gray four-door sedan, that may have been a ride-sharing service, for a meeting with the principal about potentially enrolling a student. A child was not believed to be present during the meeting, the sheriff added.
Authorities said they have not yet verified if the purpose of that meeting was legitimate, as they are still in the early stages of the investigation.
Shortly after concluding that meeting, the principal heard shots being fired, heard screams, and that’s when they determined or found that the two students had been shot,” Honea said.
Officials confirmed the male gunman was found at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound near a slide on the playground.
He is not believed to have any connection to the school or the students, according to the sheriff, who added the shooter may have targeted the school because of its affiliation with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Following the shooting, the school was sent into lockdown and roads in the rural area around the school were closed as police investigated.
Palermo is about 65 miles north of Sacramento." NYP

SDA News - Ben Carson tapped as national faith chairman

"Dr. Ben Carson@RealBenCarson

I am honored to serve as the national faith chairman for the campaign and my friend, @realDonaldTrump. It’s imperative that the faith community realizes what is at stake in this election. President Trump was a staunch supporter of the faith community and he will be again as our 47th President.”

We are not sure what Ben’s duties are as national faith chairman. We do believe it is significant that a Seventh-day Adventist member is asked to serve in such a capacity for a presidential candidate, and former president.

We hope Ben honors the Lord in this capacity and uses his Adventist understanding of eschatology and prophecy to share truth with other leaders."

SDA News - Shots Fired at SDA Campmeeting

Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers. Psalm 37:1

"DOULGASS TWP., Pa. - A Maryland man is in custody, charged with firing over a dozen shots during a religious camp meeting in eastern Berks County.
38-year-old
Kern Jordan of Upper Marlboro, Md is charged with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and firearms offenses.
Just after 8 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a Seventh Day Adventist camping event being held at
Pine Forge Academy in Douglass Township.
Witnesses told police that a man attending the camp, later identified as Jordan, pulled into the Pine Forge lot in a white Mercedes and began firing into the air before fleeing on Douglass Drive toward Route 422.
Police say the shots caused several hundred people attending the camp to run for cover, hiding behind buildings and trees for their safety. Investigators recovered 14 shell casings from the scene.
Jordan was taken into custody a short time later during a traffic stop in Exeter Township.
An AR-15 rifle and 9mm pistol were allegedly found in his car. Police say he does not have a concealed weapons permit.
Jordan is free after posting $25,000 bail.
He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 17."

SDA News -Papua New Guinea: Nearly 300,000 Baptisms

Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:47

"The latest information from the South Pacific Division and the
Papua New Guinea Union Mission is that 278,369 people have been baptized so far in “PNG for Christ” with only about 52% of the over 2000 sites reporting……this is a miracle of God!

Many more will be reported. They are being very careful in PNG to instruct people in Bible studies so they understand God’s Holy Word and the gospel message. This is Holy Spirit power being poured out on Papua New Guinea!!!

There are stories of drug lords burning their marijuana crops and being baptized, prisoners responding to calls, whole villages declaring themselves Adventist. Healings and people understanding the gospel presentations in their own languages are additional things that have been reported.

There were more than 200 speakers involved, including Ted Wilson who presented the Revelation of Hope series. 3708 People were baptized during this 16-night program."

SDA News - Doug Batchelor Invited to Speak in The Second Largest Church in The World

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
2 Timothy 4:2

"Pastor Doug Batchelor was invited to share his testimony and preach in the largest Christian Church in India. With 300,000 plus members, Calvary Temple is the second largest Christian church in the world — a miracle itself, considering it's in the middle of a principally Hindu country.

Calvary temple is a conservative church that places a high value on expository Bible teaching. This is very unusual in a country where most Evangelical Indian churches place a big emphasis on signs wonders, miracles, prosperity preaching and speaking in tongues.

This happened in part because the founding pastor, Dr. Satish Kumar, occasionally watches the Amazing Facts broadcasts in India and met
Pastor Batchelor at the National Religious Broadcasters convention a few years ago. While they acknowledge that they have some different theological positions, Satish and Doug struck up an immediate friendship. In the intervening years, both visited one another's homes and stayed in touch, texting and praying for one another.

When Dr. Kumar heard that pastor Doug would be in India the first week of May, he invited him to take the pulpit in their main
sanctuary on Sunday evening. Because the temperatures in Hyderabad are often triple digits during this time of year the evening service typically has the largest crowds. The building was packed with over 18,000 people and at least another 2000 were watching in the overflow section.

Services are normally in Telugu so this required a translator. Pastor Batchelor briefly shared his testimony and then preached on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The message was enthusiastically received."

SDA News - Kidnapped SDA Pastor Released

My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever.
Psalm 73:26

"According to reports from Juba, South Sudan, Seventh-day Adventist Pastor Daniel Garang has been released after being kidnapped.
Local accounts say that soldiers detained Pastor Garang while he was traveling to perform baptisms last Saturday.
He was led, without explanation, to a wooded area where the local army commander was holding people captive.

The authorities confiscated his motorcycle and cell phone and held
him captive until Monday morning, when local political leaders informed him that he had been arrested for allegedly gathering information for rival political groups. He assured them that he was a pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and only after they were able to verify
Pastor Daniel’s passport and documentation was, he informed of the real reason for his detention.

Pastor Daniel Garang
was informed that his arrest was due to his plans to conduct baptisms and preach the gospel, and that certain people in the area did not want the Adventist message to be spread

He was eventually released because the military has no issues with religion, and he was given his cell phone and motorcycle.

A former Seventh-day Adventist soldier told him privately that his abduction had been planned since the previous Thursday, two days before his arrest. Since his release, Pastor Daniel Garang has resumed his evangelistic work and is now conducting thanksgiving praise ceremonies.

Praise be to the Almighty for His boundless mercy and grace. We thank God for the liberation of the kidnapped pastor in South Sudan. We believe in the power of prayer and in the intervention of God, whose divine presence is with all the faithful who are afflicted and persecuted for righteousness’ sake. It is essential to recognize that it is God who orchestrates the fulfillment of His divine work on Earth. Since the inception of time, His sovereignty has reigned supreme." AdventMessenger

SDA News - Embarrassment to the Church (again)

Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool. Ecclesiastes 10:3

Once again, Democrat U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who claims to be an SDA, (although known for her strong support for abortion, LGBT, race baiting CRT, the green religion and climate cult as well as for her foul mouth and being voted "meanest person in congress" by her colleagues--also always adorned in jewelry) embarrasses the Church.....not sure why she is in the Church---because the Church clearly isn't in her.

"Sheila Jackson Lee delivered a speech for supporters ahead of the
total solar eclipse, in which she spoke about the sun and the moon. The former top Democrat on the House Science Committee’s space subcommittee badly botched elementary lunar facts while speaking during the gathering at Booker T. Washington High School in Houston.
Q: I wonder how long it will take the students to unlearn the incorrect misinformation they were given.

You’ve heard the word ‘full moon.’ Sometimes you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon is that complete rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases,” Jackson Lee, 74, told teenage pupils who gathered on a sports field ahead of the rare celestial event."

SDA News - SDA Facing 3 Years in Ukranian Prison

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; John 14:16

"Ukrainian Seventh-day Adventist Dmytro Zelinsky is serving his three-year jail term for refusing to take up arms in Ukraine's fight against Russia.
“The Recruitment Office rejected Zelinsky's written request to be exempted from mobilization on grounds of conscience or to be assigned to alternative civilian service 'due to the fact that such replacement is not provided for by the current legislation,' according to the subsequent court decision,”...An official of Kremenets District Recruitment Office – who did not give his name – refused to explain why it refused Zelinsky's application for alternative civilian service. Zelinsky is preparing a Supreme Court appeal. Courts have handed conscientious objectors three prison sentences (two of them later overturned), nine suspended prison terms, and two acquittals (which prosecutors are challenging). Seven criminal trials continue."

SDA News: From Ecuador

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
Titus 1:9

"The University of Guayaquil has been ordered by the highest court in the country, the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, to make
accommodations for its “one
Seventh-day Adventist student by moving its classes to a day other than Saturdays.
A Seventh-day Adventist medical student had requested an exemption from Saturday classes, but the university had refused.
Faithfulness opens up the opportunity for the truth to be shared. Thanks to this “one” student, the truth about the Sabbath made its way to the nation’s highest court. Many others, especially those in government, have had the opportunity to hear the arguments about how Saturday is the Lord’s Day.
This is what God calls us to be: faithful

SDA News - Brooklyn Police

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8

"The New York Post published a story on October 14, 2023, about a woman named Johanne Saint-Jean from Brooklyn who was targeted, harassed, and ridiculed by her police department for asking to get the seventh-day Sabbath off for worship. The article stated:

“A Brooklyn cop and Seventh Day Adventist was derided as a ‘scammer’ after she requested to be off on Saturdays to worship,
according to a lawsuit
.”

When she signed onto the job in 2016, Johanne Saint-Jean claims she was told she’d be able to adhere to her faith, a Christian sect that observes the sabbath from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.”
Instead, she spent the next eight years being chastised by superiors who allegedly told her, ‘You’re not Jewish. Why are you practicing like you’re Jewish’?”
Bosses told Saint-Jean ‘there is no place for her in the police department’ because of her religion.”
“I don’t understand your religion,” one boss told her, according to court papers. Your religion is messed up’.”
A supervisor also said her religion was ‘not for black people’ and she started being assigned to work Saturdays, she said. As a result, she was forced to use her own accrued time off for the Sabbath and has lost out on valuable overtime and transfers to specialized units.”
Her problems multiplied in 2020 when Sgt. Robbin Abrams became her new boss, she contends. He allegedly told her that ‘no cop wants to work with you because you are a scammer’.”

Praise God for all those who are standing up for truth against great odds."

SDA News: Pseudo-Adventists Pull Coup at La Sierra

Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Isaiah 56:11

"LaSierra posted an announcement saying that their president, Joy
Fehr
, had resigned effective the following day, Sunday, September 17.

La Sierra
has been surrounded by controversy for well over a decade, because of the liberal faculty’s promotion of Darwinism. Retired president Randal Wisbey, who was at the center of using the school to evangelize for the atheistic origins myth, also solicited a million dollar donation from one of the most notorious abortionists in American history.

It is no surprise, assuming Joy Fehr had any residual belief in the Seventh-day Adventist message, that she did not get along with the likes of John Webster, and this seems to be confirmed by the statement in the Spectrum article to the effect that Fehr did not appear to be interested in “the campus’s progressive Adventist identity.

SDA Issues - Möge Gott das Böse in diesen Männern aufdecken und verurteilen

"Adventisten Heute is the OFFICIAL church paper of the SDA church in Germany.
The September 2023 issue is dedicated to questioning the Seventh-day Adventist understanding of gender issues, and undermining our Biblical position on gender and sexuality.
The six authors of this troubling church paper edition are Johannes Naether, Werner Dullinger, Andreas Bochman, Arndt Buessing, Lorethy Starck, and Klaus van Treek. All of these are liberal-progressive leaders, pastors, or professors, as well as strong influencers within SDA Germany.
There are two Unions in Germany, Northern and Southern.  Johannes Naether is President of the North, and Werner Dullinger is President of the South.  They, along with the authors of this newsletter are working together to advance a liberal agenda in Germany.

"This is unacceptable. This must be addressed
This issue cannot be smoothed over.
Correcting this is necessary, even to the loss of all church properties in Germany."
L.Kirkpatrick

Q: What about our members in Germany?
Q: Do we have faithful Seventh-day Adventists in that country?
A: Yes, we do.

To our faithful brethren in Germany, we care about what you are enduring.  You are in our prayers
(For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you. 2 Corinthians 1:12).
Take heart.  You are not alone.
Commit yourselves to the Word of God daily.
Relief is coming, one way or another.

Unchecked Women Ordination rebellion has now turned into the secondary consequence of LGBTQ+ rebellion. Both issues use the same flawed theology, the same arguments, and both issues have a common enemy— Biblical patriarchy.

"To hate and reprove sin, and at the same time to show pity and tenderness for the sinner, is a difficult attainment.
The more earnest our own efforts to attain to holiness of heart and life, the more acute will be our perception of sin and the more decided our disapproval of any deviation from the right.
a) We must guard against undue severity toward the wrongdoer,
b) but we must also be careful not to lose sight of the exceeding sinfulness of sin.
a) There is need of showing Christlike patience and love for the erring one,
b) but there is also danger of showing so great toleration for his error that he will look upon himself as undeserving of reproof, and will reject it as uncalled for and unjust.." {E.G.W. AA 503.3}

SDA Issues - What will SDA's do in Russia IF this happens?

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Gen. 2:2, 3

SDA News: Chilean Fires

.....and I will pray for you unto the LORD.
1 Samuel 7:5

SDA News: Billboard Showdown in Africa

Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the
hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Revelation 18:2-5

"A historic event is taking place in Africa this month: Seventh-day
Adventism
versus Roman Catholicism, the Remnant Church versus the Beast of Revelation, and Ted Wilson versus Pope Francis. Both of these world leaders will be in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), just one week apart. Both will meet with the President of the DRC and the country’s administration staff. Both will be speaking to their respective churches as well as the general public.
Pope Francis is on a “Pilgrimage of Peace” to Africa. He plans to spend three days in the Democratic Republic of the Congo before heading to Sudan.
Seventh-day Adventist President Ted Wilson will also visit the
Democratic Republic of the Congo for three days, from February 10 to 12, 2023. These two visits by the heads of two major world religions are so close together that billboards advertising their visits have appeared, even side by side, all over Kinshasa, the capital city.
As a result, the same President Felix Tshisekedi, his administrators, and military officials who joined Pope Francis will also join Ted Wilson at the national palace.
I want you to pay attention to what the media is saying, which I believe the entire country is aware of: “This arrival of the world pastor of Adventists will come after the arrival of the Roman Pontiff Pope Francis for Catholic Christians.”
They are aware that Ted Wilson will be visiting the country following Pope Francis. They are aware of Ted Wilson’s identity and the church he represents." AdventMessenger

SDA News- Deaf Congregation Founded

And all the people shall say, Amen. Deuteronomy 27:16
"Adventist Church Dedicates First Deaf Congregation in Dominican Republic......
    • Deaf congregation has about 15-20 members. Rachel Marte Pierre, 17, was the first of the group to be baptized.
    • Church members worked to reach the deaf community by taking sign language classes, organizing a youth group and coordinating transport to church services.
    • There are approximately 98,000 people who are deaf in the Dominican Republic.
The congregation is the result of the hard work of a group of young people and adult members of the church who wanted to reach out to the deaf community, said Lidia Pérez, Possibility Ministries director for the church in the Dominican Republic." ANN
