Symbol for Baptism:
1) CRUCIFIED WITH HIM-
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of
sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
2) BURIED WITH HIM- Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death:
3) RISEN WITH HIM- ...that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4,6
**Here, at the Brazen Laver, is a symbol for the first 3 Ceremonial Feast Days.
**Paul's word for BAPTISM is "Baptizo" which means immersion.
IF Paul wanted to say sprinkling, he would have wrote "rhantizo".
But he didn't.
IF Paul wanted to say pouring, he would have wrote "katacheo".
But he didn't.
Christ was Baptized:
* Notice that the Triune Godhead was present....
And straightway coming up out of the water,
(Christ, the Son)
He saw the heavens opened,
and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him:
(the Holy Spirit)
And there came a voice from heaven,
(God the Father)
saying,
Thou art my beloved Son,
in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:10,11
Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
When
they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with
water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to
minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
