Little Horn / Beast Identity SIMPLIFIED SERIES: Introduction

And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before
whom three fell; even of that
horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
Daniel 7:20

The Little Horn of Daniel and the Beast of Revelation are one and the same entity.

Within Christendom there are those who mistakenly separate the two.

Amillennials and Post-Millennials separate the Little Horn entity from the Beast entity by making the Little Horn some obscure Greek king Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the Beast Roman Emperor Nero, both in the past (this is called Preterism).
--side note-- Amillennials believe that the millennium is a symbolic
1,000 years, not literal, that takes place BEFORE the 2nd Advent. It basically stretches from the cross to the 2nd coming.
This eschatology  is dominant among Catholics. Orthodox, many Mainline Protestants and some liberal evangelical denominations.
Post-Millennials believe the millennium is a literal 1,000 years on earth BEFORE the 2nd coming.
There seem to be 3 views on the starting point.
The traditional view holds that when the last person on earth
converts then it begins. This view was dominant in America among many in the 1700;s and 1800's. Still held by a few smaller Protestant denomination. During the Modernist / Fundamentalist rift of the first couple of decades of the 20th century many left this view and either adopted the rising new
Dispensationalist view (the more conservative Fundamentalists) or switched back to the older  Amillennial view (the more liberal Modernists).
Another starting point for some is when the last person on earth speaks in tongues. This view is held by Oneness Pentecostals.
Another starting point is when the last government leaders on earth convert and bring about peace and love. This is called Dominionism and is dominant among charismatics in the NAR (National Apostolic Reformation) movement.

Dispensational Pre-Millennials make the Little Horn some obscure Greek king Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the Beast a future anti-christ character who pops up at the end (this is known as Futurism).
--side note-- Dispensational Pre-Millennials hold that the millennium is a literal thousand years on earth, but AFTER the 2nd
Advent (some nickname the belief the "
secret rapture crowd"). Dispensationalisn began in England with the Plymouth Brethren in the 1800's. The Scofield Bible used it in it's footnotes in 1909 and it took off like wildfire among young firebrands of the time being adopted by many on the Fundamentalist side opposed to the Modernists during the debates raging in American Christianity at the time. This eschatology is dominate among many Evangelicals and some charismatics.

We espouse the the Historic Pre-Millennial view (also known as
Historicism) where prophecy unfolds over time culminating in the 2nd Advent followed AFTER by a literal millennium in Heaven, then Christ returns to earth with the New Jerusalem and the Great White Throne Judgment that ends with the annihilation of Lucifer and the wicked once and for all (as detailed point by point in Revelation 20). Only a few denominations today still hold to Historicism (and many disagree with specific prophecies such as what the mark of the beast entails, etc.).

**We will demonstrate with this series to the reader that the
Historical Pre-Millennial view is beyond a doubt the Biblical Truth.
That the Little Horn of Daniel and Beast of Revelation are one and the same entity.
