Thus were they defiled with their own works,
and went a whoring with their own inventions.
Psalm 106:39
"Circa 1959, a widowed Brazilian truck driver named Neiva Chaves Zelaya claimed to begin receiving visions from what she believed to be extraterrestrial spirits.
After linking up with a prominent medium, she founded a religious movement based on her visions called the Spiritist Union White Arrow which eventually evolved into the Valley of the Dawn.
The largest alternative religion in Brazil to this day, Valley of the Dawn boasts a massive complex outside the capital city of Brasilia where spectators and journalists flock to watch their fascinating rituals unfold. Known as "Jaguars," Valley of the Dawn's mediums wear brightly-colored robes, carry spears, and are believed to be the reincarnation of extraterrestrial giants who kickstarted human evolution 32,000 years ago and inspired humanity's greatest feats, like the pyramids.
And although this bizarre religion began with a single truck driver who claimed to experience visions of aliens, it now has some 600 temples across Brazil, Portugal, Germany, Japan, Uruguay, and the United States — as well as 130,000 members around the world.
Just outside Brazil's capital city of Brasília lies a fortress belonging to a religious group. Followers of Vale do Amanhecer (in their native Portuguese) believe a spaceship from the planet Capela hovers above the Earth here. It acts as a vortex, sucking up all the negative energy that the group's healers banish from humanity. As such, they believe this area to be the spiritual capital of civilization. Calling themselves Jaguars, the healers use their "cosmic energies" in spirit-healing rituals. Jaguars are the reincarnated descendants of extraterrestrials sent by God.
The Catholic Church "officially disapproves" of the religion, but Pope John Paul II apparently sent them a letter of blessing." msn
