"This account of the apostasy of Israel and their destruction was not written for nothing. These words were written for us, and we must heed them in our day.

Now we come to the last days of Judah. 

Read the books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel. 

They are present truth to-day for Seventh-day Adventists, just as much as is the book of Revelation. 

Jeremiah and Ezekiel are written for us upon whom the ends of the world are come, because these books were written in the days when the end of Judah was come; and the destruction of Jerusalem, and the times that attended it, are simply recorded to point out to all the people of the world the times when the end of the world and its destruction are near, and to warn them concerning the events that will attend it, and the troubles that will accompany it.

There is to-day a Babylon and an Egypt. To-day there are people of

God in Babylon and in Egypt. And to-day the Lord calls, "Come out of her my people;"(Rev. 18:4) and, "Out of Egypt have I called my son." (Matt. 2:14)

Look at it again: 

Q: Where was Nimrod?

A: He was in Babylon, and governed the realm of Babylon. 

 

Q: Where was Abraham?

A: He was in the country ruled by the kingdom established by Nimrod. But God called him out of that country. That country was Babylon both spiritually and physically. And more than this: Nimrod was the son of Cush, and Cush was the son of Ham, and Egypt is the

land of Ham. 

 

So that in Nimrod there was both Egypt and Babylon. And when God called Abraham, he called him out of both Egypt and Babylon. And "if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Gal.3:29) And ye are called out of both Egypt and Babylon."

"On November 22, 2020, Cyclone Gati became the strongest storm to hit Somalia since satellite records began five decades ago. Gati made landfall with maximum sustained winds of 105 miles per hour, a category 2 storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale. The storm brought more than a year’s worth of rain to the region in two days. Local authorities report at least eight people were killed and

thousands have been displaced.

 

In 12 hours, Gati’s winds intensified from 40 miles to 115 miles per hour—the largest 12-hour increase for any tropical storm ever recorded in the Indian Ocean. The storm rapidly intensified due to its small size, warm Indian Ocean waters, and low wind shear. Although the storm slightly weakened before landfall, Gati brought exceptional amounts of rain to northern Somalia.

 

 Heavy rains and strong winds caused flash floods along coastal and inland areas and destroyed buildings. Villages in the Iskushuban district, which includes Ras Hafun, were hit hardest. Gati has since weakened and moved into the Gulf of Aden."

"Pope Francis in a New York Times op-ed on Thanksgiving Day criticized groups that protested coronavirus lockdown restrictions, as Americans gathered to celebrate the holiday.

He praised those governments making “great efforts” to protect people from the virus and criticized “exceptions.” He then criticized groups that protested the restrictions and appeared to dismiss the idea of “personal freedom."

He wrote in the November 26 op-ed:

Yet some groups protested, refusing to keep their distance,

marching against travel restrictions — as if measures that governments must impose for the good of their people constitute some kind of political assault on autonomy or personal freedom! Looking to the common good is much more than the sum of what is good for individuals. It means having a regard for all citizens and seeking to respond effectively to the needs of the least fortunate.

It is all too easy for some to take an idea — in this case, for example, personal freedom — and turn it into an ideology, creating a prism through which they judge everything.

Pope Francis did not address in his op-ed that many groups in America protested severe restrictions in order to save their businesses and their and their families’ livelihoods."

‘R’#1: Rearrange existing genes

"Careful examination of many purported instances of ‘evolution in action’ shows that such ‘variation’ actually already exists, conferred by genes that already exist.

 

Here’s a simplified example that shows this, and also how such genetic variety might be misconstrued as ‘evidence of evolution’. 

 

The two dogs in the top row of Figure 1 are a male and a female.

They each have a gene that codes for short hair (inherited from its mother or father) and a gene that codes for long hair (inherited from the other parent). In combination, this gene pair for fur length results in medium length hair.

Now when these two dogs are crossed, what new combinations of the genes are possible in the resulting offspring? The second row of Figure 1 shows this:The dog at the far left has inherited its father’s short-hair gene and its mother’s short-hair gene. Result: short hair.

The two dogs in the middle have each inherited a long-hair gene from one parent and a short-hair gene from the other parent. Result: medium-length hair (just like the mother and father).

The dog at the far right has inherited its mother’s long-hair gene and its father’s long-hair gene. Result: long hair.

A casual observer, looking only at the outward appearance, i.e. unaware of what is happening at the genetic level, might think: “There were no long-hair dogs in the parents’ generation. This long hair is a new characteristic—evolution is true!”

But such a view is incorrect. The only thing this ‘evolution’ has done is to rearrange existing genes. There’s simply been a sorting out of pre-existing genetic information. There’s no new information here of the kind needed to have turned pond scum into poodles, Pekingese, pointers and papillons."

2 Questions of You & the Sabbath Commandment

God has given us His commandments,

Those who reverence the commandments of Jehovah will, after light has been given them in reference to the fourth precept of the Decalogue, obey it without questioning the feasibility or convenience of such obedience. 

 

God made man in His own image and then gave him an example of observing the seventh day, which He sanctified and made holy. He designed that upon that day man should worship Him and engage in no secular pursuits. 

 

 A partial observance of the Sabbath law is not accepted by the Lord ....The Lord means what He says, and man cannot set aside His commands with impunity. 

The example of Adam and Eve in the garden should sufficiently warn us against any disobedience of the divine law.

 At the very beginning of the fourth precept, God said, "Remember",......

III. This led to the slaughter of the minks in Denmark....

"According to government officials in Denmark, mink raised on

Danish farms carry a mutated version of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that is less sensitive to antibodies, which they say might thwart vaccine development. Minks readily host and spread the virus and because this strain has now been found in humans, the prime minister announced on November 4 that Denmark would cull the entire stock of its mink farms, which equates to about 17 million animals spread across 1,000 farms."

IV. This has led to something literally rotting in Denmark....

 "A Danish company behind a botched culling of 17 million minks which appeared to 'rise from the dead' has been identified.

Copenhagen-based International Service System (ISS) was tasked with the mass burial of the culled minks, which were infected with a mutated form of COVID-19. Controversy erupted however after the minks appeared to rise from the dead - as locals reported mink-movement within the three-foot deep mass graves.

As the bodies decay, gases can be formed. This causes the whole thing to expand a little. In this way, in the worst cases, the mink get pushed out of the ground.....another issue is the fact that the animals were placed in shallow graves because the process was rushed. The graves were just over three feet deep, which allowed some witnesses to see the movement. Now officials are planning to order the graves to be dug twice as deep."

ARCHAEOLOGY: Those "Ripple Marks"

"More than 60 well-preserved footprints appear to show three

sauropod dinosaurs ‘walking’ in water, using their forelimbs only. Discovered in a limestone quarry in the Glen Rose Formation, Texas, the Coffee Hollow dinosaur tracksite consists of three parallel trackways heading in the same direction.

 

The tracks are shallow—only a few centimetres deep. Amazingly, these dinosaurs left tracks in the mud only with their forefoot (manus, Latin for ‘hand’). They left no trace of any print from their hindfoot (pes, Latin for ‘foot’). The dinosaur prints on the outer two trackways were up to 70 cm wide—25–35% larger than those in the middle. The middle tracks were also particularly faint. 

 

The layer directly above, which also filled the footprints, showed ripple marks. These in turn must have been buried soon after, to cement them in place before they could be erased....the dinosaurs were wading in water up to their shoulders. They used their forefeet to ‘punt’ themselves along, leaving the shallow impressions in the mud as their forefeet just touched the bottom. Indeed, a number of previous studies have highlighted that “the location of the center of buoyancy relative to the center of mass in certain sauropods … would cause the hindquarters of a wading dinosaur to lift off the bottom while the forefeet were still pushing against the substrate. Such a punting sauropod might then be able to glide with its body supported by the water … this might also result in shallowly impressed manus prints.” In other words, the sauropod body plan would force them to do handstands in deep enough water as they tried to move forward. 

 

The trackways fit well with the dinosaurs pulling themselves through

the waters of the Noahic Flood some 4,500 years ago while trying to find dry land. The smaller sauropod in the middle was struggling to keep its head above the deep water and get a foothold. This explains why its prints were fainter. Shortly after leaving their forefoot impressions, these were covered quickly by another layer of sediment, preserving the sauropods’ watery interaction. Another layer soon followed."

Dung & the Flood

You see, scientists have found fossilized feces from creatures like dinosaurs and fish.  Coprolites remind us of the global flood. This new study was looking at feces that didn’t have time to decay or be eaten by detritivores (i.e., an animal that feeds on dead organic material) before they were rapidly buried by sediment. Research has shown that feces must be preserved within 24 hours for us to find coprolites—and since we find mass fossil “latrines” in various places around the world, something must have happened that could bury these very quickly!

A 28-year-old female suspect already known to authorities was arrested in a department store after allegedly choking one victim and slashing the throat of another on Tuesday afternoon. 

 

The suspect grabbed a "huge knife" from a display and yelled, "Allahu akbar," and "I am from ISIS," during the rampage, witnesses told Tages Anzeiger.

 

"I turned around and saw two women on the floor," a witness said. "The woman on the floor screamed and tried to defend herself with both arms."...she is reportedly a "radicalized" Islamic convert who carries a surname common in the Middle East and North Africa." IWE

Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Donald Trump appointee, wrote a separate opinion siding with the conservative majority, saying churches and synagogues were treated differently than commercial institutions by the state.

“It is time — past time — to make plain that, while the pandemic poses many grave challenges, there is no world in which the Constitution tolerates color-coded executive edicts that reopen liquor stores and bike shops but shutter churches, synagogues, and mosques,” Gorsuch argued.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a Trump appointee, also concurred, noting that temporary injunctions were warranted but that the Nov. 25 decisions were not final.

"Nearly two decades after the initial sequencing of the human genome, a multi-million-dollar, multi-institutional program has just finished its final reporting. 

This was the Genotype Expression Project (GTEx). The goal of

this 10-year study was to look at variations in the genome and see how they affect RNA production, phenotype, and disease. They were able to separate the effects by sex, race, tissue type, and cell type. What they discovered was a treasure trove for Bible believers. The genome is nothing like anyone expected. It is so complex that it was obviously designed by a higher intelligence.

The human genome is much more complicated than essentially any evolutionist imagined. That first sequence was just a peek into the amazingly complex, four-dimensional information system that God so brilliantly engineered.

In days gone by, scientists held to a “one gene, one enzyme” hypothesis. That is, one gene would produce one protein. This came from studying bacterial genomes, which are fairly straightforward. But in more complex organisms, we have discovered a multi-faceted information processing computer in the nucleus, where any particular letter can be incorporated into many different RNAs and proteins, depending on context. Likewise, the fact that we only have about 23,000 protein-coding ‘genes’ yet produce several hundred thousand unique proteins was a massive surprise.

First, the GTEX Consortium gave us a summary of their ‘atlas of genetic regulatory effects across human tissues’. Perhaps unsurprisingly, they discovered that variations in RNA expression and splicing are more common in the coding areas. But only ⅓ of these are affected by cis-acting (in other words, nearby) variants. Thus, long-distance control of genes is quite common, and a lot of variation exists in this system. However, what is more surprising is the fact that the average gene has more than one expressed form. In other words, the variations found in our genomes causes us to produce different RNA versions of nearly all our genes. Since most of this variation is, I believe, created by God, he clearly programmed a huge amount of diversity into the human genome.

 

Oliva et al. wrote the main article about sex differences. They found 13,294 genes associated with sex differences, across all tissues, but only 369 of these had truly significant differences among the sexes. They found a 10-fold difference from one tissue to the next in the number of differentially transcribed genes (from 473 to 4558, depending on tissue type). They claimed that ⅓ of transcriptome is differentially expressed in at least one tissue. Only 4% of these were X-linked, but these had greater differences than autosomal genes. Only 18% were different in only one tissue. These are particularly interesting to me and they do not apply only to the obvious tissue differences between males and females. For example, there was actually more difference in expression profiles of skin and arterial tissue than in breast tissue. They also detected genomic regions with clusters of sex-linked genes, such as the pseudoautosomal region 1 on the X chromosome (for females) and the q arm of chromosome 20 (for males). 

 

Demanelis et al. examined the relationship between telomere length and RNA transcripts. Telomeres are the repetitive DNA that exists at the tips of most chromosomes. They are anchored to the

inside of the nuclear membrane when the cell is not dividing and have been associated with longevity (longer telomeres correlate with longer lifespans). They also get shorter with each cell division, conferring upon the cell lineage a certain maximum lifespan. It turns out that relative telomere length varies across tissues and among the sexes. The greatest difference is between blood (short telomeres) and testes (long telomeres). With the exception of the thyroid, telomere length shortens with age in all tissues... Telomere length also varies among individuals and is longest for people with African ancestry, but age is the single greatest contributor. Thus, telomere length has an inherited component but also depends on telomerase activity. Some of these studies depend on gene expression for detection. Telomerase is not expressed in differentiated tissue. Age affects genetic expression, so does telomere length, and the two interfere with one another. Sadly, a chronic disease burden was associated with shorter telomere length, even after excluding the effects of cancer.

 

Genomic complexity has always argued against Darwinism,  God made an amazingly complex and functional machine when He fashioned Adam out of the dust. It is nothing short of amazing that He could take something as lowly as dirt and make it into something as complicated as the human body."

Creation Moment 11/26/2020 - Darwin Relics Go Missing

"A thief may have stolen two of Charles Darwin’s notebooks, including one containing his iconic 1837 “Tree of Life” sketch, according to Cambridge University Library in England.

Any theft is surely a cause for concern, even though millions of copies of that sketch are found in biology textbooks around the world and thousands of reproductions of it can be found on an internet search adorning T-shirts, facsimiles of the sketch, and even jewelry. No; the fragment of the true cross, or tree, is the only one for pilgrims to worship.

Something must be done! The thief must be punished, and an all-out search must be taken to return the precious relics to their shrine at the cathedral, or library, at the University of Cambridge. The university is calling on the public for help.

“I am heartbroken that the location of these Darwin notebooks, including Darwin’s iconic ‘Tree of Life’ drawing, is currently unknown,” Jessica Gardner, university librarian and director of library services, said in a statement. “But we’re determined to do everything possible to discover what happened and will leave no stone unturned during this process.“

The BBC News is up in arms, too. “Notebooks worth millions lost for 20 years,” announces Rebecca Jones in her coverage. “To have such an iconic object go missing is really a tragedy,” one scientist remarked. The world is on edge." CEH

As it turns out, three part-time security guards at GCC had tested positive for COVID-19 unrelated to their work duties but had no symptoms. They returned to work within a few days. Los Angeles County cleared the church of responsibility for any such “outbreak.”MacArthur has long fought excessive COVID-19 restrictions and their double standards against churches.
