The “good” that is within man

"In the language of the Old Testament, we read that “the whole head is sick, and the whole heart is sick. From the sole of the foot even
to the head there is no soundness in it, but bruises, and swellings, and putrefying sores
” (Isaiah 1:5-6).
Jesus Christ Himself described the quality of the inner man: “From within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, vice, envy, gossip, pride, foolishness… ” (Mark 7:21-23).
So, for help, it is not within ourselves that we must look. The Nazi Holocaust, the Inquisition, wars, and violence in all its forms are vibrant examples of the result of expressing the “good” that is within man."

IN the NEWS - Helene & Milton

"News reports are filled with grief and horror at what Hurricane Helene did as it traveled north into Georgia, eastern Tennessee and North Carolina. Residents of North Carolina were especially hard hit,
with entire towns flooded and destroyed, all the debris carried off by rivers. Helene ranks with the worst hurricanes ever in terms of damage. Even today the death toll is not known but currently stands at 235. As they run out of body bags, rescue crews are desperately trying to find and help victims who have gotten little aid from the federal government.
Hurricane Milton is a record-setting storm aimed right at Tampa Bay, Florida, and will almost certainly cause catastrophic damage to much of the state.

Theologians wrestle with questions about whether, and how, directly God intervenes with nature.
---Bible-believing theologians do not deny God can intervene, but debate whether He does intervene, and if so, how often and for what purposes.
They call direct intervention primary causation, and call nature left to run on divinely ordained natural laws secondary causation. Given that the world has fallen into sin and is under a curse, we know not to expect a Garden of Eden any more in this age.

Genesis 8:22 (“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease”) and Matthew 5:45 (“For He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust”). Indeed, it would be hard to conceive of a world without regularity. That’s what gives us science, and allows us to have some measure of confidence about what to expect in our daily lives.

Regularity offers a measure of fairness to people.
If the trees crowded around a man to give him shade, as C.S. Lewis quipped, his neighbor would be left under the beating sun. Regularity is what makes miracles surprising.

The opposite view of determinism is more pernicious.
Materialists and evolutionists have no other choices but (1) chance or (2) the determinism of natural law and genetics. Every event, some think, was determined at the big bang. This would include the track of Hurricane Milton.

Some theological views, particularly those of certain hyper-
calvinists, fall into this trap as well, asserting that every event, including every location of every raindrop that falls, was decreed by God at the foundation of the world. The well-meaning attempt to exalt God’s sovereignty, however, makes God the author of evil, which is clearly denied by Scriptures such as
Jeremiah 7:31. Sovereignty can refer to kingly authority instead of meticulous micromanagement of every event.

In the present age, it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment. Given that fact, we don’t know when or how we will meet our end: of so-called “natural causes” or at the hands of evildoers.
The certainty of death keeps us alert to danger and should put the fear of God into everyone who ponders their own mortality.
Natural disasters have been with us since Genesis 3."

One Night of Imbibing on Wine - Centuries of Death Unleashed

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging:
and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Proverbs 20:1

One night of Imbibing on Wine, while sailing a ship, led to centuries
of bloodshed---pain, suffering and death. As a result the heir to the throne died. This led to a civil war known as "The Anarchy".
The results of that would lead to the expansion of Anglo-Norman holdings in France which led to the Hundred Years War.
All because of one night with the Wine Bottle.
The Lesson: When you hear people whine about "where is God" in the suffering and death on the pages of history---we do it to ourselves.

"The greatest twelfth century English historian, William of Malmesbury, wrote: ‘No Ship that ever sailed brought England such Disaster,’ and that assessment of the scale of the tragedy, remarkably, stands to this day.

It was the passenger list of the White Ship that made its loss so
uniquely awful. Apart from Henry I’s only legitimate son,
William Ætheling, it included two of the king’s natural children, the cream of the Anglo-Norman aristocracy (including eighteen ladies with the rank of countess or above), several of the great generals who had finally brought England complete victory over France, as well as the bureaucrats who controlled Henry’s strict, effective, royal governance.

Only one man – perhaps the humblest passenger aboard – survived the violent end of the White Ship: he was Berold, a butcher from Rouen who found a place aboard in order to pursue high-ranking debtors as they set off for England. The medieval butcher thus became eyewitness to one of history’s most terrible events.

The White Ship was a newly refitted vessel captained by Thomas FitzStephen, whose father Stephen FitzAirard had been captain of the ship Mora for William the Conqueror during the Norman conquest of England in 1066.
Thomas offered his ship to Henry I of England to return to England from Barfleur in Normandy. Henry had already made other arrangements, but allowed many in his retinue to take the White Ship, including his heir, William Adelin, his illegitimate children Richard of Lincoln and Marie FitzRoy, Countess of Perche, and many other nobles.

According to chronicler Orderic Vitalis, the crew asked William
Adelin
for wine and he supplied it to them in great abundance. By the time the ship was ready to leave there were about 300 people on board, although some, including the future king Stephen of Blois, had disembarked due to the excessive drinking before the ship sailed.

The ship's captain, Thomas FitzStephen, was ordered by the revellers to overtake the king's ship, which had already sailed. The White Ship was fast, of the best construction and had recently been fitted with new materials, which made the captain and crew confident they could reach England first. Aboard were some 300 people including many members of the Anglo-Norman nobility, celebrating victory over the French after four years of war with copious amounts of wine. They were eager to race King Henry I, who had already departed on his own ship, back to Southampton.

White Ship was propelled by oarsmen rendered drunk by the inebriated passengers, who had plied the crew with huge quantities of wine. The ship left Barfleur at a fierce pace, a little before midnight on 25 November 1120. The sea was calm, the wind set fair, but the captain – another whose brain was addled by alcohol – dropped the mainsail too soon; before he was clear of the rocky coast. The helmsman, clearly confused by the rare speed of his vessel, and also drunk, miscalculated, and steered the White Ship into the great danger a mile out at sea: the Quillebœuf Rock. This giant, jagged, menace was hidden at high tide and now claimed its greatest victim.

The Quillebœuf staved in the White Ship’s wooden planks. Water started pouring in even faster after the crew tried to push the vessel clear again, with their long pikes. This simply opened up the gash in the ship’s side even more.

Those aboard began to cascade into the frozen water, gasping in shock at the cold. In an age when almost nobody could swim, and when the
sea was a mysterious place believed to be filled with terrifying creatures, the sound of panic rang out in the frigid air.
‘The worst thing I can remember were the screams,’ Titanic survivor Eva Hart recalled of that famous sinking, 800 years after the White Ship’s fatal voyage. Hart noted that they were so awful as to be impossible to describe. It must have been the same for those witnessing the final cries of those who drowned in the water off Barfleur – the ghastly din of despair, from those being tugged at, with increasing insistence, by Death.

There was just one small lifeboat on the White Ship. The royal bodyguards commandeered it, and bundled William Ætheling aboard, intent on rowing the royal heir to safety.

*But as they made for shore, the prince heard one shout that rang out above the others. It came from his half-sister, Margaret, Countess of Perche. She pleaded with her brother to turn back to save her, while
also insulting him for being so despicable as to leave her to drown.

The prince ordered his men to steer the lifeboat back to the stricken ship, to retrieve her. But this was a disastrous decision. Those struggling for life in the water threw their arms up over the sides of the small boat and tried to clamber aboard. There were so many, Berold would recall, that their weight took the lifeboat down, along with the prince. The butcher was found by fishermen the following morning, drifting on a piece of broken mast, just conscious and able to tell of what he had seen.

Nobody rushed to inform the king: Henry I was known to be utterly ruthless, and at the same time he famously adored his children.

William the Conqueror’s youngest son, Henry had risen from the relative obscurity of being a royal younger son, to becoming king of England and Duke of Normandy, as his father had once been. Henry had seized the English crown in August 1100, leaving his elder brother William Rufus to stiffen in death on the floor of the New Forest – the victim of a stray arrow on a hunting trip.

Meanwhile, six years later, he had attacked his eldest brother, Robert Curthose, at Tinchebray in Normandy. Curthose was defeated, captured and committed to prison in Cardiff Castle, where he remained for the remainder of his life, eventually writing poetry and learning Welsh.

Henry, meanwhile, had proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Insistent that the nation’s coins were his personal property, and that adulterating them equated to treason, he promised dire consequences for those minters who abused his confidence. Those found guilty of tampering with the coins’ quality were dealt with viciously: they were castrated, and their right hands were lopped off.

Eventually one of the king’s nephews persuaded a page boy to tell Henry I of the terrible news. Henry bellowed in disbelief, before falling to the floor, screaming. It is said he never smiled again, during the final fifteen years of his reign. Certainly, in the aftermath of the loss of the White Ship – and of the king’s dreams and aspirations – the court was plunged into gloom.

It was a period of such profound mourning that many in the royal orbit found time to reflect: on their own mortality, on their past conduct, and on their most profound beliefs.

The sinking altered the course of English history. Henry was the son of William the Conqueror, and after his death civil war broke out between his appointed successor, another daughter also named Matilda, and his nephew Stephen of Blois.

This conflict, “the Anarchy”, continued for 20 years until Matilda’s son took the throne in 1135 as Henry II.

Underlying Lesson of the Book of Job

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said,
Doth Job fear God for nought?
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house,
and about all that he hath on every side?
thou hast blessed the work of his hands,
and his substance is increased in the land.
But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath,
and he will curse thee to thy face.

And the LORD said unto Satan,
Behold, all that he hath is in thy power;
only upon himself put not forth thine hand.

And Satan answered the LORD, and said,
Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh,
and he will curse thee to thy face.

And the LORD said unto Satan,
Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
Job 9-12/2:4-6

1) Job's friends blamed Job. They thought he ticked off God.......
Eliphaz- Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. But now it is come upon thee,
and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
Job 4:4,5,7

Bildad- Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers: Job 8:20
Zophar- If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. Job 11:14

2) Jobs servants and wife thought it was God's doing......
Servants- The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned
up the sheep.
Job 1:6

Wife- And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. Job 2:8,9

***But it was Lucifer who was behind it all......
So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD,
and smote Job
with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
Job 2:7

SUMMARY:
1) We bring evil upon ourselves by our choices: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7 or
2) Lucifer does: So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job. Job 2:7

Free Moral Agent vs. Mere Automaton

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said,
Q: How long halt ye between two opinions?
if the LORD be God, follow Him:
but if Baal, then follow him.
the people answered him not a word.
1 Kings 18:21

"God placed man under law, as an indispensable condition of his very existence.
He was a subject of the divine government, and there can be no government without law.
--
God might have created man without the power to transgress His law;
--He might have withheld the hand of Adam from touching the forbidden fruit;
--but in that case man would have been,
not a free moral agent,
but a mere automaton."

What is the Condemnation of the World?

And this is
the condemnation,
-- that light is come into the world,
-- and men loved darkness rather than light,
-- because their deeds were evil.

What Happened to Bliss?

"In Eden dwelt bliss;
but sin came, and bliss fled:
bliss cannot abide with sin, no, not in Eden.
Man felt this;
all nature felt: but the blessed God, by whose righteous law they were
made subject to vanity and death, mercifully subjected them "in hope."

This "hope" was begotten by the first promise: "Thy seed shall bruise his head." (Genesis 3:15)
Adam and Noah died in the faith, and left this hope to be cherished by their posterity; and their race have, in one form or another, ever cherished this hope, and will cherish it, until the time comes for it to be fulfilled." H.D. Ward

IN the NEWS - Mankind Playing With Fire

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jeremiah 17:9
An Example of how we can't blame God....Here we have mankind making this deadly virus itself...and even after COVID...lessons not learned as a lab leak is ALWAYS A POSSIBILITY at any lab.
We do these things to ourselves. And where are the people in positions of power shutting this down and saying NO.....don't see or hear any at this moment.

"With the life coming back to normal as Covid-19 on the retreat, a
new Covid strain which has 80% kill rate has been found in the US. A team of Boston University scientists claimed that they have made a hybrid virus — combining Omicron and the original Wuhan strain — that killed 80 per cent of mice in a study, according to DailyMail.com.
Experts have slammed the scientists for “playing with fire” and involving in such a “dangerous virus manipulation” research.
Dr Richard Ebright, a chemist at Rutgers University in New Jersey said the research is a clear example of gain of function research...... like the previous US-government ePPP research on chimeric SARS-related coronaviruses at Wuhan Institute of Virology that may have caused the pandemic - appears not to have undergone the prior risk-benefit review mandated under US-government policies. If we are to avoid a next lab-generated pandemic, it is imperative that oversight of ePPP research be strengthened.... Ebright said."

Why this Trio of Travail, Sorrow & Death?

"Q: Why is there travail, sorrow, and ultimately death in this life?
Q: Why does God allow this to happen to His children?
Per Romans 8:20, “for the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope.”
In other words, because of the fall of man—the shift of the first man and woman from a state of innocent obedience to God to a state of guilty disobedience—all of God’s creation was exposed to a curse.
As a result of that curse,
all creation now groans
(For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans 8:22)." ICR

IN the NEWS - Food Company Owner Nails it on Theodicy

But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say?
Romans 3:5 ESV

"Oya Foods CEO Bob Unanue,....appeared on Fox Business’s
“Mornings with Maria” to discuss what he sees as a coming “global food crisis.”.....Unanue said, as Breitbart reports:
"We are on the precipice of a global food crisis. God created humanity, humanity has created every way to destroy itself, from nuclear, biological, and chemical. … But now, we’ve weaponized food. Between [redacted] and Russia, they represent 50 percent of the world’s production of fertilizer, 30 percent wheat, 20 percent corn … other foods and minerals. … Russia, they’re also cutting off [redacted] to the sea. …
[…]Let me say that we have in a way, provoked this war by showing an incredible weakness around the globe and a lack of resolve to protect women, children, and the innocent. It started in Afghanistan."

Biblical Answer to Theodicy

"Christ gave Himself for our sins,

Galatians 1
4 …that He might deliver us from this present evil world.

He will take from us that which He bought, which is our sinfulness. In so doing, He delivers us from this “present evil world.” That shows us that “this present evil world” is nothing but our own sinful selves. It is:
1 John 2
16 …the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
We ourselves make all the evil there is in the world. It is man that has made the world evil.
Romans 5
12 By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
We need not try to throw the blame upon somebody else; we ourselves provide all the evil that can possibly injure us."

Endowed with the Ability to say No

....choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15

"The issue is always planted in God's created soil of Freedom.
Before love, there had to be freedom.

All created intelligences, beginning with the angels and extending throughout the inhabited worlds, were endowed with freedom—the freedom even to say No to God's plan for them.

In other words, responsibility (ability-to-respond) was the actionable word—freedom to respond to their Creator, either positively of negatively.

Love is an attribute found only in the larger embracing air of freedom.

Throughout the Biblical story, God was trying to make clear what He planned to accomplish with His salvation plan, as He manifested His fairness, love, and trustworthiness through His dealing with, first, the Israelites and eventually, in the person of Jesus Christ."

3 step answer to Theodicy

"That
-1-there is a great deal of sin at the present time, none will deny;
-2-of course the law of God is much disregarded;
-3-for "sin is the transgression of the law." 1 John 3:4.

And as it is God's decree that "the soul that sinneth, it shall die"
(Eze.
18:4), we feel that it is a duty we owe to God and to our fellow-men, for the honor of his government and the salvation of their souls, to raise our voices in warning them to turn from their sins, and live.

But there are many who will not be convinced of their sins;
they deny the Bible,
the text-book of righteousness,
and charter of our eternal inheritance.

Such we are obliged to leave to their own ways; for they cannot be saved who willfully reject the counsel of God.
We lament their blindness, but can do no more."

IN the NEWS - Prince of Persia still Haunting Africa & Asia

More Man Made Chaos--luciferian inspired--grips Africa & Asia. It never ends. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 ...humans, by choice, are responsible all through history for our pain and suffering on this planet...stop blaming God.
---the Lesson in Theodicy---
a] God didn't tell people in Birkina Faso to follow a false god named allah and go on holy jihad.
b] God didn't tell French speaking Africans to kill English speaking ones over---Language.
c] God didn't tell Islamist Jihadis to attack the Ivory Coast.
d] God didn't tell the Burmese government, that for racist reasons, destroyed the rice supply of others, to do it.
e] God didn't cause the volcanic eruption that was brought about by geological forces messed up below our crust thanks to the global flood brought upon the earth by the sins of pre-flood peoples.

"More than 7,000 people have fled Burkina Faso's volatile north following the bloodiest massacre in a six-year jihadist insurgency. At least 138 men, women and children were "executed" and nearly 40 were seriously wounded.

Also, the US has brought in visa restrictions on those it believes are standing in the way of a peaceful resolution of Cameroon's Anglophone crisis. Worsening violence in Cameroon’s Anglophone regions is taking an increasingly heavy toll on civilians, with renewed attacks against schools and a spate of incidents involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and extrajudicial killings documented in recent months. These attacks are the latest escalation in the nearly five-year conflict between government security forces and armed separatists which has displaced more than 700,000 civilians...The Anglophone conflict began in late 2016 when government security forces used lethal force to put down peaceful marches by lawyers and teachers protesting against perceived marginalization by the country’s majority Francophone government.
In response, more than 30 armed separatist groups formed to fight for an independent nation they called Ambazonia. A self-declared Interim Government of Ambazonia also emerged and is run largely by Anglophone Cameroonians living in Europe and the United States.
Separatists are known locally as “the boys” and consider themselves “restorationists” or “freedom fighters”. Representatives from the Cameroonian government refer to them as “terrorists” in public statements.

A soldier was killed in an attack in northeastern Ivory Coast near the border with jihadist-hit Burkina Faso, the military said Tuesday.
“Armed individuals” late Monday attacked the village of Tougbo in the district of Bouna, the armed forces headquarters said in a statement.
An Ivorian soldier died of his wounds, it said, citing a provisional toll.

The Myanmar army (Tatmadaw) is destroying tons of sacks of rice that had been stored and preserved to feed the internally displaced
people
in the village of Loi Ying Taungche, near the city of Moebye...the popular defense forces have been fighting the Burmese military since May..... a strong food crisis is expected, purposely induced by the armed forces to stop any popular resistance. The violence against the civilian population who suffer even leads to the destruction of stocks of medicines and small health dispensaries organized by the people of the villages. The Burmese army, notes the source of Fides, uses the "policy of the four cuts": cutting off all

 access to food,
communications,
transport
and finances,
to reduce the population to its limit, in a work of indiscriminate violation of human rights and ferocity perpetrated on innocent people.

Finally, evacuees from DR Congo's Goma have started returning to the volcano-hit city."

The Bi-Sexual dudes of Belial: Ripple Effect of Bad Seeds throughout all Society [Case Study]

A Case Study of how Sin has a terrible Ripple Effect across Society. And the mess created by human wisdom in response.

In this case it is the seeds of SIN in the hearts rooted in the LGBT lifestyle of the sons of Belial.

But one can apply the same Lessons to any SIN--from the Ripple Effects of one alcoholic
parent setting courses by abusing child and spouse across all society and around the globe---or the selfish uncontrolled anger that rashly lashes out leading to a series of events in motion---or the murder of an archduke in Sarajevo in 1914--- or a young priest in training in an Orthodox seminary reading the class warfare/coveting of Das Kapital and the Rebellion/pseudo-intellectual attacks on Genesis 1 in Origin of the Species secretly at night and flees to join the Bolshevik Revolution becoming known to history as Stalin, etc..
All this SIN, Rebellion against God and Criminality at every spot on earth Ripples for generations --- now you know why  there is Pain, Suffering and Death....so QUIT BLAMING GOD FOR MAN'S OWN CHOICES AND THE RESULTS THEREOF.

I. The trek to get back the concubine.
Judges 19:1-15 .....a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah....And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house...And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again...

II. The old man's kindness.
Judges 19:16-21 .... there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim.... And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street....

III. The Bi-Sexual men of Belial's Sinful hearts---leads to a Rape.
Judges 19:22-25 ....sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him..Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; ...so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning...

IV. The Rape leads to a Death.
Judges 19:26-28 ...And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold. And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered.

V. The Gruesome Announcement.
Judges 19:29-30, 20:1-11
...he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel. There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day.

VI.  Benjamin refuses to punish the wicked ones responsible.
Judges 20:12-14 ...Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren...

VII. Support for the Wicked Criminal element leads to a near Genocide of Benjamin--placing tribe/culture ahead of obedience to God.
Judges 20:15-48/21:1-8 ......
And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to.

VIII. Leading to a complete Genocide of Jabeshgilead by the Israelites following their own human wisdom.
Judges 21:9-18 ......And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children....And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh...

IX. Which leads to a mass Kidnapping.
Judges 21:19-24 ....Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place
....
Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;...And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

X. The Lesson:
Judges 21:25 .... In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
The Results of removing God and His absolutes and replacing with the shifting sands of opinions of man....and the failure of human wisdom to fully counter the ramifications by making some things worse.
