Creation Moment 8/14/2026 - Even the deist Thomas Jefferson believed in Design

For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Romans 1:20 ESV

"As Jefferson wrote in the Declaration, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” If we had received our rights only from the government, then the government could justifiably take them away.

Jefferson himself thought that there was scientific evidence for design in nature. In 1823, he insisted so in a letter to John Adams:

“I hold (without appeal to revelation) that when we take a view of the Universe, in its parts general or particular, it is impossible for the human mind not to perceive and feel a conviction of design, consummate skill, and indefinite power in every atom of its composition.”

Contemplating everything from the heavenly bodies down to the

creaturely bodies of men and animals, he argued:

“It is impossible, I say, for the human mind not to believe that there is, in all this, design, cause and effect, up to an ultimate cause, a fabricator of all things from matter and motion.”

With such thoughts in mind, he wrote the Declaration, asserting the inalienable rights of human beings derived from “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” DI

Creation Moment 7/10/2026 - Key verse for 18th century astronomers

Why 536 A.D. instead of 538 A.D.?

Since the 1260 days (years) prophecy began in 538 A.D. of Papal supremacy, then why would 536 A.D. be the worst year to be alive
due to natural disasters?

Well the edict that placed the Pope as head of all Christendom was issued in 536 A.D. by Emperor Justinian. 

But the Pope was held up for over 2 years in Rome trapped by the Ostrogoths.

It was not until 538 A.D. that General Belisarius relieved the siege of Rome and informed the Pope of his new status and gave him the edict.

Q: So was all this that befell the earth in 536 A.D. a sign from God of the DARKNESS about to befall the earth or just a coincidence?

The fabled year 536 AD was in the middle of a literal Dark Age.

Byzantine historian Procopius, writing from Constantinople, described the world around the year 536 in which “the sun gave forth its light without brightness, like the moon, during the whole year.” The Roman statesman Cassiodorus later wrote that “the sun seems to have lost its wonted light and appears a bluish color.”

Then came the plague.

On Race: God vs. Blavatsky, Darwin and the Nazi's

Madam Blavatsky, (founder of Theosophy) was the influencer of the New Age movement of Alice Bailey, (herself an anti-semite) one of her followers who split off in the early 20th century.
One can see from the writings of Blavatsky below, that she was a full blown racist in her thinking borrowing from Darwin's teaching of his book "Origin of the Species and the Preservation of the Favored Races" (the full title of his book).
She admitted to being influenced by 4 ideas: Buddhism, Hinduism, Darwin and the Occult (which she cast as the "science" of spirituality).
Her belief, as seen below, blended with her 7 root races theory, (of which the current is the Aryan race) gave birth in the early 20th century in Europe to Ariosiophy (Blavatsky claimed that the current 5th root race is the Aryan) believing that the Aryans are at the top of the evolutionary chain. It was adopted wholeheartedly by a small band of socialist workers in Germany who became known to history as the NAZI Party.

When Thomas Edison dabbled in Romans 1:30 (Spirit Phone)

The movement attracted tons of people we consider to be pretty smart, from scientists and Nobel Prize Winners like Pierre Curie (husband of Marie Curie) to famous authors like Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle..... the religion saw a boost in popularity after World War I. Lots of people had lost loved ones and they were desperate to be able to speak with them one last time. In the face of such widespread grief, a wave of quacks posing as mediums swept through the United States and elsewhere, claiming they could conduct séances to put people in contact with the ghosts of their loved ones.
As Halloween in 1920 quickly approached, Thomas Edison had quite the “treat” to share with the public. In an October 16, 1920, interview published in The American Magazine with Bertie Charles Forbes, the founder of Forbes magazine, Edison boldly revealed,

“I have been at work for some time, building an apparatus to see if it is possible for personalities which have left this earth to communicate with us. There are two or three kinds of apparatus which should make communication very easy. I am engaged in the construction of one such apparatus now, and I hope to be able to finish it before very many months pass.”

This so-called “spirit phone” would not involve ghostly apparitions or the theatrics of a séance. Instead, Edison speculated that if the human spirit persisted after death, it might exist as “subtle particles” capable of affecting the physical world, albeit on a microscopic level.
In his diary, Edison theorized that life, like matter and energy, was indestructible. He envisioned tiny life-based particles continuing to exist after death, forming a personality-based residue—memories, thoughts, and impressions that once defined a person. If these particles persisted, Edison speculated, they might gather around us

within the space-time continuum, or what he called the “ether.”
Edison believed these particles might produce vibrations detectable by sensitive instruments—a scientific approach that he thought could bypass the subjectivity and unreliability of mediums and psychics.
He envisioned the “spirit phone” working like a finely tuned electrical device, capable of detecting the subtle “etheric” forces that supposedly linger after death.
By the time of his death in 1931, no one had publicly demonstrated a working device, and the project seemed to fade into obscurity. Yet the idea refused to die. In later decades, researchers in electronic voice phenomena and instrumental transcommunication would point back to Edison as a kind of intellectual predecessor, someone who had envisioned a scientific bridge between the living and the dead long before technology could even begin to approach such a possibility.
Edison died in 1931, and his posthumous memoir The Diary and Sundry Observations of Thomas Alva Edison was published in 1948. According to Tech Times, the final chapter of that book included the inventor's designs for a "spirit phone." That chapter, however, was never published in English. It had been removed from the original text before publication, and in its absence scholars and scientists believed Edison's statements about making tech to talk to ghosts were simply his odd way of making a joke or trying to pull a fast one on the public.
But that chapter wasn't removed from the book entirely. It was never edited out of the French translation, and in 2015, Edison's true beliefs about the next plane of existence were brought to the attention of French readers via a book titled Le Royaume de l'Au-dela (The Kingdom of the Afterlife). Radio personality and philosopher Philippe Baudouin, who wrote the preface to the book, said that Edison made a deal with an audio engineer named William Walter Dinwiddie in which the first of the two to die "would try to send a message to the survivor from beyond." Baudouin said that the chapter reveals that Edison "imagined being able to record the voice of another being, to be able to make audible that which isn't — the voice of the dead."

Creation Moment 5/25/2026 - Giving Credit where Credit is Due

"Antonie van Leeuwenhoek steps 350 years ago were planned and ordered by providence. He was originally a draper who made use of a simple, well-crafted lens to observe the fine threads of men’s cloth and clothes. But soon, he would find himself examining living

fabrics of cells and tissues. Perhaps, the Creator ordered his steps to make curious findings that would start the discipline of microbiology and protozoology in the spring of 1676. Antonie van Leeuwenhoek is credited with the first description of bacteria in 1676. In his Letter 18 sent to the Royal Society on October 9, 1676, he reported seeing Spirillum volutans and describing various microorganisms, including water protozoans, and probably other bacteria. This significant discovery marked the beginning of microbiology and laid the groundwork for understanding the microscopic world of bacteria.

Leeuwenhoek’s letters sparkle with the excitement of discovery. Describing the “wee animalcules” (protozoa and bacteria) he observed in a drop of fresh water, he wrote, “The motion of most of them in the water was so swift, and so various, upwards, downwards, and roundabout, that I admit I could not but wonder at it. I judge that some of these little creatures were above a thousand times smaller than the smallest ones which I have hitherto seen. . . . Some of these are so exceedingly small that millions of millions might be contained in a single drop of water.”

Early microbiologists like Antonie van Leeuwenhoek saw God’s “incomprehensible perfection” and “providential care” in animalcules (microorganisms), 

believing these tiny creatures 

clearly pointed to a wise Creator.

groundbreaking discoveries of microorganisms as profound evidence of God’s marvelous creation, believing life was divinely designed and created, not spontaneously generated. His faith emphasized Scripture and the beauty of nature, viewing his microscopic observations as uncovering God’s intricate handiwork, a perspective that aligned with, or at least didn’t challenge, the church’s teachings on creation." From Babel to Japan

Apparently, on their trek from Babel, the group that became the East Asian Orientals branched into Japan in 3 waves. They also mated with Neanderthals and Denisovans (simply another developed

species of humans) along the trek. It also seems that the Neanderthals and Denisovans had developed genetic defects early on and passed them on into the populations they came into contact with.
It may be that a very small groupings of humans developed some serious defects in their genome very early on as they spread out resulting in the differences we know as Neanderthals and Denisovans. This in turn led to them spanning out from others early on in different directions, keeping to themselves until bumping again into the dominate human lineage.

For decades, scientists believed the Japanese population largely descended from two ancient groups: the Jomon hunter-gatherers who lived in the archipelago for thousands of years, and later migrants from East Asia who brought rice farming and new technologies to Japan.
But a major genetic analysis from researchers at RIKEN's Center for Integrative Medical Sciences suggests the picture is far more

complicated.
Using whole-genome sequencing on more than 3,200 people from across Japan, the team found evidence supporting a third ancestral group tied to northeastern Asia and possibly linked to the ancient Emishi people. The findings, published in Science Advances, add powerful support to the increasingly discussed "tripartite origins" theory of Japanese ancestry.

The discovery means that modern Japanese ancestry is not a blend of two source populations but three, each arriving in a distinct historical wave.
Those three clusters map onto distinct regions of the archipelago. One is centered on Okinawa and enriched in Jomon ancestry,

reflecting the deep heritage of the Ryukyu Islands. 

A second dominates western Japan, particularly the Kansai region around Osaka and Kyoto, and carries a stronger signal of continental migration. 

The third, the new finding, is concentrated in the Tohoku region of northeastern Honshu. It does not collapse neatly into either the Jomon or the Yayoi category. Instead, it appears to represent a separate strand of ancestry with its own history.
The study also explored genetic material inherited from Neanderthals and Denisovans, two ancient human groups that interbred with Homo sapiens.

Scientists have become increasingly interested in why some of these ancient DNA fragments survived in modern humans while others disappeared. In many cases, the inherited genes appear linked to health, adaptation, or disease risk.

The Japanese genome study identified 44 archaic DNA regions still present in modern Japanese populations, many of them unique to East Asians. 

One Denisovan-derived region inside the NKX6-1 gene was associated with type 2 diabetes and may influence how some patients respond to semaglutide treatments.
Researchers also found 11 Neanderthal-derived genetic segments connected to conditions including coronary artery disease, prostate cancer, and rheumatoid arthritis.

ARCHAEOLOGY: From Babel to the Arabian Peninsula

Apparently these were, likely the first settlers from Babel into the Arabian Peninsula, who plopped down and engineered an organized society. Long enough ago that by the time they abandoned it, it was before the written record had entered the Arabian peninsula for they were completely forgotten. Seems that they may have dispersed due to volcanic activity of some kind plaguing the area.

"In the middle of Saudi Arabia’s black volcanic fields, archaeologists found something extraordinary—hundreds of mysterious stone

formations stretching for miles. The locals once called this region the “Gates of Hell,” but what they uncovered might rewrite early human history.

Many sit along ancient animal migration routes and water channels. Archaeologists believe early inhabitants designed them to trap or perhaps even honor the creatures that sustained their survival across generations.

When traced by drone, some of the formations continued for astonishing distances. Thin stone lines snaked across the terrain like

ancient boundaries or paths. Their sheer length suggested a shared purpose connecting far-flung communities across the barren expanse.
Their straight lines and precise construction puzzled experts. Who would build something so vast in such a barren, unforgiving region—and more importantly, why?

Each “Gate” followed deliberate alignments, often perfectly straight or evenly spaced. The uniformity surprised surveyors who realized the builders had achieved geometric balance without modern instruments—a feat hinting at both intelligence and shared knowledge.
Across an area roughly the size of Connecticut, researchers documented hundreds of stone circles and gates. Their density suggests a large, interconnected network of Neolithic settlements. What seems like wilderness today may once have been a bustling region of trade and ceremony.

Excavations across the lava fields of Harrat Khaybar revealed more than desolate rock. Hidden beneath layers of volcanic debris were tools and fragments of ancient settlements.
Among the gates and kites, circular “bullseye” shapes drew particular fascination. Perfectly rounded and centered, they didn’t match hunting layouts or dwellings. Some researchers believe they may

have served ritual or astronomical purposes tied to seasonal changes or migration cycles.

Centuries of volcanic activity turned out to be an unlikely ally to archaeology. As molten basalt cooled, it hardened into a natural vault around the stone gates, locking them in place. This shield preserved walls and pathways that would’ve eroded elsewhere long ago.
With almost no rainfall or vegetation to disrupt the terrain, the structures remained untouched for thousands of years. The arid stillness allowed modern researchers to view the ancient site nearly as its builders left it.
