SDA News: Uh Oh.....Uganda

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: Exodus 20:10

"The Government of Uganda has declared the last Saturday of every month a mandatory National Cleaning Day, requiring citizens to participate in community cleaning activities from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
For the Seventh-day Adventist Church, this announcement raises
important questions because Adventists observe the Biblical Sabbath during these hours. With approximately 613,000 baptized Adventists in Uganda, many members could be affected if the policy is implemented as announced. In response, the Uganda Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists has released an official statement confirming that church leaders are engaging the government in respectful dialogue."

Society, Christians and LGBT: Where's the Line?

1) A view that says we live in a free society and God gives us Free Will. So, you let gays do what they want in society. God will deal with it in the End.
2) A view that actively Promotes, Celebrates, Embraces and seeks to Normalize LGBT and Transgenderism (as well as targets youth with it).
*This also leads to the sacrificing of Free Speech and Freedom of Religion on the Altar of LGBT.

Biden, by proclaiming a "TRANSGENDER DAY" (as Obama declaring "PRIDE MONTH") Crosses the Line to the 2nd as does Legalizing Gay Marriage.

The First (a Christian view) is based on Tolerance but not Acceptance in the society at large.
(outsiders) It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders
(Insiders) but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning.
(outsiders) God will judge those on the outside;
(Insiders) but as the Scriptures say,
You must remove the evil person from among you.
(outsiders) If it be possible,
as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
1 Corinthains 5:12,13 NLT/Romans 12:18
The second (a non-Christian view) demands Acceptance by the society at large.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections
for even their women did change the natural use
into that which is against nature
And likewise also the men,
leaving the natural use of the woman,
 burned in their lust one toward another;
men with men working that which is unseemly,
and receiving in themselves
that recompence of their error which was meet.
Romans 1:26,27
SUMMARY: So it would seem a CHRISTIAN VIEW IN POLITICS would be to oppose both the Uganda government (non-tolerance in the secular Society at large) throwing Gays in Jail AND oppose Biden declaring a Transgender Day (Encouraging Acceptance by the secular Society at large) or legalization of gay marriage (the attempt to Normalize it--by giving it a stamp of societal approval).

IN the NEWS - Dante

If the world hate you,
ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
John 15:18

"Last week, a young evangelist was killed in eastern Uganda by Muslim extremists who boarded a boat in which the young man was fishing, according to Morning Star News. On August 31, 19-year-old Dante Tambika, also known as Patrick, was beaten and strangled to death near Nankodo 3 village, Nankodo sub-county, after he and his friends went fishing in Lake Lemwa, said Stephen Mukama, a survivor of the attack.

Five Muslim teenagers followed Dante, Mukama and two other friends as they walked to the lake, Mukama said.

“They tried to provoke us by calling us infidels and saying that they were going to crush us just like Allah did to those who used to attack their prophet, Muhammad,” Mukama said.

They did not respond but continued to the lake and started fishing from the boat around 6:30 PM. When they returned to shore about two hours later, they saw the teenagers whom Dante and his friends knew, and one of them  shouted the jihadist slogan, “Allah Akbar [Allah is greater],” Mukama said.

“From nowhere we saw six other Muslims approaching our fishing boat, furious and uttering defaming words against us,” he told Morning Star News.

“I told my friends that we were in trouble and that each of us should prepare for self-defense. I led them in prayers.”

According to Mukama, one of the jihadists, who the Christians did not recognize, got on the boat and started hitting Dante on the back with his fist and a stick.

“He commanded us to believe in Allah, or else they will kill us,” he told Morning Star News. Dante replied that we can’t renounce Christianity, saying, ‘If you want to kill us, kill us, know that we are ready.’”

Christians and local residents found Dante’s body the next day in the water, near the shore. He had been beaten on the head, tied with a rope and strangled, Mukama said." Bibliatodo

IN the NEWS - Praying to the Dead in Uganda

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies...
2 Peter 2:1

"An African prelate is imploring the intercession of the Ugandan Martyrs for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic, a century after their beatification.
Archbishop Cypriaa Kizito Lwanga honored the young men at a June 3 Mass at Uganda Martyrs' Shrine in Namugongo.

The priests wore red vestments symbolizing
--the blood of martyrs
--and the fire of Pentecost.
--Some priests carried relics of the martyrs.
The Uganda Martyrs refer to a group of 45 Roman Catholic and Anglican male martyrs — most were in their teens and 20s  — who were executed between 1885 and 1887 by a king of Buganda (now Uganda). They all died painful deaths — some being burned alive — for their belief in Christ and for refusing the sexual demands of their handlers.

The 22 Catholic martyrs were beatified by Pope Benedict XV in 1920 and canonized by Pope Paul VI on Oct. 18, 1964.

The miracles that led to the canonization of the Uganda
Martyrs involve the healing of two nuns who had contracted the bubonic plague and for whom their medical doctors — one a Muslim and another a Protestant — had given up hope.
Nonetheless, a novena in honor of the Blessed Martyrs was immediately started in St. Mary's Cathedral Rubaga for their cure. The martyrs' relics were also placed on the dying nuns. Three days later, to the doctors' amazement, both were completely cured."

IN the NEWS - Rebecca's Deceit

Everything they say is crooked and deceitful.
They refuse to act wisely or do good.
They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots.
Their actions are never good.
Psalm 36:3,4

"Ugandan Speaker of House Rebecca Kadaga faced criticism this week after unveiling a spray she said kills the Chinese
coronavirus. She supplied no corroborating scientific evidence to back her claim.

Her comments were heavily criticized by the public and the  Ugandan Medical Association, who urged people to discard her advice, pointing out that no vaccine for the coronavirus has yet been developed and accusing her of giving false hope to people with false information.

On Wednesday, Kadaga unveiled the new spray, arguing in a television interview that she never described the treatment as a vaccine and claiming her critics were merely excited.
The sanitizer is here, this is the one … the people got excited, now they are quiet,” she said. “I couldn’t have called it a vaccine. I said it’s a spray that kills the virus instantly.”
