materials that included fabrics that were intricately decorated and colored as well as leather and seeds, connect to the biblical kings David and Solomon.
The items were recovered from copper mines in Timna, Israel, which are said to have been operated by Edomites, whom the Bible tells us were subject to King David (And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants.

Of the finds, Dr Erez Ben-Yosef from Tel Aviv University said:
