Refuting Koresh on the 7 Seals SERIES: Seal 1

REFUTING DAVID KORESH ON THE 7 SEALS
This series is designed to show that Koresh's main claim to prophetic fame (his 7 seals interpretations) are Heretical. Apparently there was a miniseries about Koresh made recently which is creating a bit of a Koresh buzz/interest out there...So this is to demonstrate to those who want to link him to Adventism that he wasn't teaching Adventism (which happened to me once when I wasn't expecting it while working at a pizza joint). Sort of my own "miniseries".
SEAL 1

"The first seal (Revelation 6:1-2) according to Koresh, *is The Marriage of the Lamb.
Koresh said the key to this seal is Psalm 45 and is the same event as Revelation 19. Koresh taught that this seal depicts the marriage of the Lamb to the Holy Spirit ("Eden to Eden," Seven Seals Manuscript). He derived this concept from the teachings of his predecessors.
A Literal PAWN of Lucifer
*Lois Roden taught that the woman in Revelation 12:1 was Eve and that she was created in the image of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the woman of Revelation 12:1 also represents the Holy Spirit (By His Spirit... "Behold Thy Mother," p. 6).
*She further identified the Holy Spirit as the "bride" of Revelation 19 (Ibid., pp. 7-8).
Victor Houteff, founder of the Davidians Seventh-Day Adventist Association, *taught that the man on the white horse in Revelation 6:2 was Adam (Tract 15, pp. 39-41). Now Christ is the second Adam. This individual is then wedded to Eve (Revelation 19:7-11).
The Marriage of the Lamb, then, is revealing that Koresh is obtaining unity with the Godhead. Those with him in Revelation 19:14 are also on white horses and also dressed in marriage garments. So, they must be about to obtain unity with the Godhead too. *Thus the first seal, the marriage of the Lamb, reveals that those who believe that David Koresh is the Christ and accept the Seven Seals will obtain unity with the Godhead." An Adventist RESPONSE:
1- The 1st seal is about the early days of the church going out to spread the message of the Gospel. They ride upon a white horse because it was Christianity in it's purer form.
2- Nowhere does Scripture teach that Eve was created in the image of the Holy Spirit. Scripture tells us Adam was created in the image of God and that Eve was made out the bone of Adam.
3- The bride of Revelation is God's Church of His true believers in the end...made up of both Adventists and non-Adventists who resist caving to the mark of the beast.
4- Talk about TWISTING Scripture! Christ is the 2nd Adam in the sense that He lived a sinless life where Adam failed. But NOWHERE is it alluded to in the Bible that Adam was the rider on the Whitehorse nor that Christ marries Eve. The "bride" is God's redeemed-NOT Eve herself.
5- ONLY Koresh taught his followers he was a second "Christ". Nearly all of Christendom, including Adventism, would think that this would qualify Koresh as a GENUINE FLAKE. Or more Biblically articulated--a WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING....
Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Do men gather grapes of thorns,
or figs of thistles?
Matthew 7:16
The "Fruits" of this
* Adulterer
* beer drinking
* Rock musician wannabe
* cussing
* claimant as the 2nd "Messiah"
resulted in a FIERY DEATH of children and himself with a few fanatics still
clinging to his disgraced memory.
So what if he could debate Scripture? Even Lucifer can quote
the Scriptures....remember the Temptation of Christ in the Wilderness?
