Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.
Daniel 2:20,21,22
"....the four sections of the image
(representative of the various world empires that directly influenced Israel of ancient yore as well as spiritual Israel of today) had a specific characteristic that was prominent.
Babylon was notorious for the worship of Marduk who among other things was venerated as the principal Sun God.
Medo-Persia was noted for its vitually impregnable, irreversable laws.
Greece was and still is recognized world wide for its philosophy and humanistic ideas.
Rome was noted for its incredible political/military might as well as noted for its role as a persecutor and as a destroyer while....
...the composite iron/clay feet representative of the Papacy is noted for its role as a union of church/state.
Just as each section of the image was connected, these characteristics carried on in each successive world empire and coalesces into the end time "empire"; a religiously dominated, worldwide goverment system with an emphasis for venerating the Sun (or the day of the Sun...Sunday...), capable of erecting a irreversible law based on human wisdom and philosophy, backed by unparalleled authority to invoke military action, all in the name of Jesus Christ himself."
