Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless,
the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation,
among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:14-15
"Everything is to be done without “murmurings” and “disputings.”
Both words are synonyms of heart attitudes that produce ungodly behavior.
The Greek word translated “murmur” is goggusmos, a secret debate, muttering to oneself.
The “dispute” (Greek dialogismos) suggests a logical debate with oneself."
