Creation Moment 9/30/2026 - What marks the commencement of the first week of time?

"When it pleased this infinite Being, He gave existence to our earth. Out of nothing God created all things; “so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3. This act of creation is that event which marks the commencement of the first week of time.

On the first day of the week God created the heaven and the earth. The earth thus called into existence was without form and void, and total darkness covered the Creator’s work.

Each of the six days had been distinguished by the Creator’s work upon it; but the seventh was rendered memorable in a very different manner. And on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.” Genesis 2:2."

Creation Moment 4/9/2026 - Creator of time

"The universe (including time itself) can be shown to have had a
beginning.
It is unreasonable to believe something could begin to exist without a cause.
The universe therefore requires a cause, just as Genesis 1:1(In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.) and Romans 1:20 (For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.) teach.
God, as Creator of time, is outside of time.
Therefore, He had no beginning in time, has always existed, and so does not need a cause."

Creation Moment 4/4/2026 - The choreography of Life and Time

... Thou art my God from my mother's belly. Psalm 22:10

"A recent essay in Aeon, “The clock in our genes: The biologist Victoria Foe discovered a timing device in ‘junk’ DNA that could unlock the evolution of complex life,” 24 March 2026, tells the story (and it is well worth reading) of developmental biologist Victoria Foe, whose work presses against one of the most persistent assumptions in modern biology: that DNA is primarily information, a code to be read with lots of “useless stuff” all around it. Foe’s work suggests something far more physical, and far more interesting:
"… the recognition that genes operate within complex regulatory networks did little to dislodge the deeper assumption that biological meaning resides primarily in information coded in DNA sequences. Foe’s work presses against that assumption. Genes are not only messages but material entities embedded in time, subject to interruption, constraint and decay."

Genes are not just messages.
RNA’s are not just messengers.
If a short gene takes five minutes to be copied, its RNA will appear on the scene swiftly and in copious amounts.… A longer gene unit … will be finished only by the very end. If a gene is extra-long, its transcription will be halted midway…. Once the cell has split in two, the clock resets.

In her studies of embryonic development, Foe observed that gene
length directly affects when proteins are produced. The result is not merely variation in output, but variation in time.

Gene length, she argues, functions as a molecular clock, regulating when developmental processes occur. As the Aeon essay notes:
"A gene’s length determines its transcription time. This means that a cell’s genes are not just a collection of instructions; they are a collection of timers."

The choreography of life, from cell division to tissue formation, depends not just on what genes say,
but on how long they take to say it.

Transcription is not the transmission of a signal; it is the physical traversing of a distance. Length is duration. In Foe’s world, the cell doesn’t ‘calculate’ time; it ‘endures’ it.
Time is not something the organism observes.
It is something the organism obeys.
And here, a curious tension emerges.
As Jo Marchant recently put it:
"Time is elusive in other ways, too. We have no sensory organs for detecting it, nor any dedicated brain areas for tracking it. Our experience of time can vary hugely… we can easily be fooled about how much time has elapsed."

Time is not localized because it is not a signal.
Time is an objective condition.

Reality Check: These arguments miss the point entirely. We do not have a ‘time organ’ for the same reason a fish does not have a ‘wetness organ.’ We don’t sense time as an external arrival; we inhabit it as an internal necessity. To the embryo, time isn’t a ‘bookkeeping device’ – it is the narrow gate through which every protein must pass or perish.
Vision can be assigned to an eye because light arrives. Sound can be assigned to an ear because vibrations propagate. But time does not arrive.
It orders.
Transcription requires duration.
Cell division interrupts processes in a sequence.
Development unfolds in ordered stages that cannot be rearranged without consequence.
Remove time from the world, and biological systems aren’t “misinterpreted.”
They simply fail.
And so we arrive at an unexpected irony.
*While some areas of physics and philosophy suggest that time may be a feature of consciousness,
*biology continues to operate as though time is a real structuring feature of the world, one that organisms must measure, accommodate, and survive within."

Creation Moment 11/21/2025 - The yoyo universe nonsense

Yes, they knew God,
but they wouldn’t worship Him as God
or even give Him thanks.
And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like.
As a result, their minds became dark and confused.
Romans 1:21 NLT

"Oscillating (yoyo) universe ideas were popularized by atheists like the late Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov, solely to avoid the notion of a beginning, with its implications of a Creator.

But the laws of thermodynamics undercut that argument, as each one of the hypothetical cycles would exhaust more and more usable energy.

This means every cycle would be larger and longer than the previous one, so looking back in time there would be smaller and smaller cycles.
So the multicycle model could have an infinite future, but can only have a finite past.
Also, there is far too little mass to stop expansion and allow cycling in the first place, and no known mechanism would allow a bounce back after a hypothetical ‘big crunch’."

Creation Moment 11/2/2025 - Time “Crystals” Found at the Quantum Level

"From the orderly orbit of the planets to the finely tuned rhythm of our own internal circadian cycles, centuries of discoveries have confirmed that the universe operates within a framework of orderly and time-bound precision.

--While these systems have long been a source of wonder, new discoveries suggest that timely order is not confined to macro-scale interactions; rather, even nano-scale subatomic particles exhibit intrinsic, orderly and rhythmic oscillations, suggesting that temporal structure is an embedded feature within matter itself.

In a momentous breakthrough published in Physical Review Letters
(September 2025), researchers Ruso and Pohl at TU Wien University uncovered that orderly patterns of particle movement exist at the quantum level. These “time crystals” oscillate without being acted upon by any known external driver, but “self-organize” in rhythmic behavior, based on physical correlations between the particles themselves.

The discovery of these “time crystals” defies previous assumptions that quantum behavior is chaotic with random noise. These observations therefore open significant questions on interpretations of order, origins, and design.

The Evolutionary View of Time and Rhythm
In evolutionary frameworks (whether cosmological, physical, or
biological) time and rhythm are viewed as emergent properties, not fundamental features of the universe. Time is treated as only one
dimension of a matter and space continuum that began with the Big Bang, unfolding as the universe expanded.
While the second law of thermodynamics introduced the concept of the “arrow of time” (systems naturally evolving from order to disorder), evolutionary models propose that order arises temporarily and locally, being directed from energy gradients and environmental conditions that allow systems to self-organize. In an evolutionary framework therefore, rhythm is not embedded in matter itself but emerges from repeating interactions shaped by environmental conditions.

Despite this prevailing view, the discovery of time crystals contrasts with the evolutionary perspective. In quantum time crystals, rhythmic order arises internally without external drivers, challenging the assumption that time-based structure must be externally imposed.

Design in the Deepest Realms: A Contrast with Evolutionary Theory
While describing the phenomenon of time crystals, the authors unintentionally expose various philosophical and scientific implications relevant to questions of origins and design.
For instance, in attempting to explain their findings, the authors stated that:
“…the emergence of a continuous time-crystal (CTC) phase in this setting is directly connected to the physics of dissipative quantum systems…”

While the authors describe the link between the “physics ofdissipative quantum systems” and the behaviors of time crystals, there remains a vagueness about the root cause of such “emergence”. While the authors use the term “emergence” to describe how complex order arises, the use of this term often bypasses the discussion of processes that would sufficiently explain the origin of this process.

* As time crystals challenge the assumption that quantum systems begin in static or equilibrium states, it may suggest that rhythmic, correlated motion could be embedded from the outset, even in the early universe. However, a cosmological evolutionary framework provides inadequate explanatory power as to why particles should be predisposed to organize themselves.

Notwithstanding, this research shows that quantum systems defy randomness and produce coherence – a coherence that is not imposed from outside but arises from within the system.

Another major marker of design that has been revealed through this study is that the behavior of these time crystals is extremely nuanced – not being accounted for by merely averaging the field effects. In the words of the authors:

“
We identify a second type of qCTC that is not predicted by mean-field theory but instead is driven by correlations.” …Remarkably, one of them emerges only in the presence of correlations, upon accounting for beyond-mean-field effects… The found qCTC phases do not rely on symmetries of the underlying master equation and are robust to perturbations, both of which are essential aspects for potential experiments.”

As its name implies, “mean-field theory” approximates each system’s component via the average influence of its constituents—thereby erasing the subtle interactions that drive complex behavior. Standard cosmological perturbation theory treats fluctuations linearly, akin to mean-field approximations that neglect correlations. However, as the authors note, “two distinct time-crystal phases … cannot be described within mean-field theory”. This failure signals greater complexity than standard quantum physics models account for: as something essential is lost when one merely relies on the single mean-field figure.

The simulations in this paper reveal that one of these two phases “emerges only in the presence of correlations, upon accounting for beyond-mean-field effects”. This implies that particle behavior is not randomly homogenous, estimable by isolated averages but is linked in a finely tuned network. Ignoring any connection would produce inaccurate estimations for the oscillations as each link plays a critical role. The emergence of a qCTC phase driven by correlations underscores that higher-order interactions can qualitatively change outcomes. The further finding that these phases are “robust to perturbations” may suggest an in-built resilience.

These discoveries in time crystals are yet one more example of modern science pointing us away from the concept of randomness and disorder, and toward the notion of design.
--Interestingly, these discoveries at the fine quantum scale, uncovers depth to the Scripture that declares “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Scripture has remained resonant with scientific observations, affirming that time is not random, rather, it is purposeful and governed by divine wisdom.

Rather than undermining faith, discoveries like time crystals deepen the case for intelligent design, as they reveal a universe where order is intrinsic. As Job was reminded, “Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you set up God’s dominion over the earth?” (Job 38:33)."

Creation Moment 6/25/2025 - Time: Distinguished From Eternity

"In the first place we have evidence that the first day of time began in the evening.
That is, the dark portion of the day pre ceded the light portion. Genesis 1:5 The evening and the morning were the first day.
That this was necessarily the case, may be seen from the or der of events in the creation.
Time, as distinguished from eternity,
commenced with the first creative act of God.
The first act was the bringing of the earth into existence. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
That this occupied but a brief space of time, and not a long extended
period, is proved by the context, also by:
Psalm 33:6,9 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. For He spoke, and it was done, He commanded, and it stood fast.
But at that time there was no light, nothing but intense darkness, for we read that: Genesis 1:2...darkness was upon the face of the deep. The next act was to create light."

Time & God

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.
2 Peter 3:8
Time to God is for purpose, not for minutes.
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Creation Moment 1/2/2025 - Eternity of the Creator

"Eternity
is that word which embraces duration without beginning and without end.
And that Being whose existence comprehends eternity, is He who only hath immortality, the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God.
When it pleased this infinite Being, He gave existence to our earth. Out of nothing God created all things; “so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:3).
This act of creation is that event which marks the commencement of the first week of time."

Creation Moment 1/1/2025 - Negative Time?

And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. Colossians 1:17
Q:  What might the Creator use this for? It's mindboggling....

"The notion of “negative time” arises from how photons interact with atoms in a dielectric medium.
When light passes through such a material, some photons are absorbed by the atoms and later re-emitted. This interaction creates a temporary “excited” state in the atoms.

--Conventional understanding assumed that photons followed a fixed timeline for absorption and re-emission.
--However, Steinberg’s team demonstrated that these durations can be less than zero, a result they describe as “negative time.”

To illustrate this concept, imagine cars entering a tunnel: if the average entry time for a thousand cars is noon, it might seem odd to observe the first cars exiting slightly earlier, say at 11:59 a.m. While earlier interpretations dismissed such results as artifacts of measurement, the Toronto researchers treated them as significant.

Their work suggests that these counterintuitive timings stem from
quantum mechanics—a field known for its probabilistic and non-intuitive nature.

Their calculations revealed that the time a photon spends as an atomic excitation aligns with the group delay, even when this delay becomes negative. In classical terms, such a delay would be impossible. However, quantum mechanics allows for these anomalous results, which are deeply tied to the probabilistic nature of particle interactions.

In the latest study, the researchers extended these insights, demonstrating that negative group delays are not just mathematical curiosities but observable phenomena. Their experiments also showed that photons carried no information in this process, preserving the integrity of Einstein’s theory of special relativity. This ensures that no physical laws—such as the cosmic speed limit—are violated.

Steinberg emphasizes that the concept of “negative time” does not imply time travel. “We don’t want to say anything traveled backward in time,” he clarified.
Instead, these results illuminate the complex and sometimes counterintuitive dynamics of quantum systems, where particles do not adhere to fixed timelines but operate within a spectrum of possible behaviors."

Creation Moment 11/13/2024 - Time: Creator and creation are separate

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made. Genesis 2:3
"The Ten Commandments uses the Sabbath to show that Creator and creature, God and mankind, share something.
They share action in a continuity of time;
that is, God’s action is linked to our history.
---It demonstrates the basis for real fellowship.
Also pivotal is that Creator and creation are separate.
---It is in the creation done within real history that God shows He is distinct from but present and active in the world we live in.

Psalm 46:1 & Time

"As God inhabits eternity, so that all time is present with Him, so all His promises and blessings for men are in the present tense. There can be no future or past time to Him.
This makes Him "a very present help in trouble," (Ps. 46:1) for we can live only in the present. We cannot live one moment in the future."

Creation Moment 6/6/2024 - Tampering with God's Time Highway?

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not Love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:2

"Theoretical routes to the past called time loops have long been
hypothesized by physicists. But because they are plagued by impracticalities and paradoxes, they have been dismissed as impossible for just as long.
But now Lloyd and other physicists have begun to show that in the quantum realm, these loops to the past are not only possible, but even experimentally feasible.
In other words, we will soon effectively try to send a particle back in time.
If that succeeds, it raises the possibility of being able to dispatch, if not people, then at least messages in the form of quantum signals, back in time."

Creation Moment 5/17/2023 - They Replace Father God with Father Time

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3
"Eddington ....  repeatedly stated his belief in the centrality of time
Father Time
for naturalistic development.  In the evolution—or the “becoming”—of the universe, he wrote, “
Time occupies the key position” (Eddington, 1933, p. 91).
As with Eddington, Carl Sagan acted not as an originator of chronological thought, but as an advocate of the primacy of time in evolution.  Sagan also described the evolution of the universe with “time” replacing God as the First Cause:
For unknown ages there were no galaxies, no planets, no life. A first generation of stars was born.  In the dark lush clouds between the stars, smaller raindrops grew, bodies far too little to ignite the nuclear fire. Among them was a small world of stone and iron, the early Earth. One day a molecule arose that was able to make crude copies of itself life had begun.  Single-celled plants evolved plants and animals discovered that the land could support life. [Some animals] became upright emerging into consciousness.  At an ever-accelerating pace, [consciousness] invented writing, cities, art and science, and sent spaceships to the planets and the stars.  These are some things that hydrogen atoms do, given 15 billion years of cosmic evolution (Sagan, 1980, pp. 337,338).
If to Sagan time was the “creator” which brought the universe into existence, planetary astronomer William K. Hartmann has expressed the same idea, namely, that time is really the only necessity for evolution—a “long” time:
From all we have just said, we conclude that if planetary surfaces with the necessary conditions—liquid water and the ‘CHON’ chemicals (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen)—exist long enough anywhere, life is likely to evolve (Hartmann, 1991, p. 621).
With time as the evolutionary agent, it is no wonder that the evolutionary expectation of finding extraterrestrial life has over the decades gone from disrepute to popular acceptance.

All evolutionary cosmic ages are in the final analysis based on an old
Father God

age for the earth, so if this chronology is destroyed for the earth, it is demolished for the cosmos as well.
---The sun is thought to be old because the earth is old, other stars are thought to follow a mode of operation and chronology based on that of the sun (Bahcall, 1990, p. 56; Fix, 1999, p. 385), and the Hubble constant and the age of the universe are adjusted in an attempt to make the cosmos older than the stars (Goldsmith, 1985, p. 115)." Creation Moment 1/8/2022 - Time, as distinguished from eternity on Day 1

"THIS has been a puzzling question to very many. They cannot understand why Sabbath-keepers should commence their rest at the setting of the sun, while other people regard the day as commencing at midnight.
Some have thought that it was all arbitrary distinction, more for the purpose of peculiarity than anything else; but a little reference to the Scriptures will suffice to clear the subject of all doubts.

In the first place we have evidence that the first day of time
began in the evening. That is, the dark portion of the day preceded the light portion.
Genesis 1
5
The evening and the morning were the first day.

That this was necessarily the case, may be seen from the order of events in the creation.
Time, as distinguished from eternity,
commenced with the first creative act of God.

But at that time there was no light, nothing but intense darkness, for we read that:
Genesis 1
2
...darkness was upon the face of the deep.
The next act was to create light
3 And God said, Let there be light, and there was light.
God then ordained that darkness and light should hence-forth succeed each other in continuous round, and a period of
darkness and one of light, called respectively night and day,
should constitute one entire day.
This completed the first day’s work.

Purpose of our TIME

"The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that what we look at, spend our time on, is what we will become. (So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. NLT).
Q: How many of us have actually thought of time as being a talent?
Our time on this earth is limited.
It is a probationary time to be used specifically for character development.
Time spent is time gone.
There is no other talent of which God requires a more strict account.

And as we draw nearer and nearer to His second coming, that simply means less time to get ready, maybe even not enough time.
Q: So, on what are we spending our time?

If we gaze even a moment upon the sun in its meridian glory, when we turn away our eyes, the image of the sun will appear in everything upon which we look.
Thus it is when we behold Jesus; everything we look upon reflects His image, the Sun of Righteousness. We cannot see anything else, or talk of anything else. His image is imprinted upon the eye of the soul, and affects every portion of our daily life, softening and subduing our whole nature.
By beholding, we are conformed to the divine similitude, even the likeness of Christ.

Q: How much time have we spent and will never have back?
“… time squandered can never be recovered. We cannot call back even one moment." (E.G.W.)

John 15:4–6 says, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches.
He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”

Creation Moment 9/10/2022 - Physics & Rev. 22:13

the beginning and the end.

"Physicists tell us that time is inextricably bound up with energy and
matter.
---Therefore, the universe had a beginning, and science cannot probe, or even conceive of a point before that beginning.
---By definition, if God began the Creation, then He must have been before time began, so is therefore ‘outside of time’.
Put another way, God has no beginning or end, as the Bible teaches." CMI

Creation Moment 8/12/2022 - Ramifications of Linear Time

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

"I, for one, am glad that the universe had a beginning. I’m glad that time is linear, because it means that there is an eternal purpose to our existence and actions. A cyclic universe has no lasting purpose; everything we do will be destroyed and forgotten.

**A beginning also means there will come a day of justice and reward. And so I’m glad the Biblical story of redemption begins with creation. Why? Because I once was lost, but now am found. When you come to God by faith in Christ, it all makes sense. It’s not a bother any more; it is very satisfying. Follow the Site Map to the pathway of peace with God and with yourself." CEH

Creation Moment 7/26/2022 - Who Created the Function of the Fibonacci Sequence?

The Creator made the Fibonacci Sequence that is used and just think, well actually we observe within science, what the Creator can do with these....and imagine what He does with the mystery of Time.....Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Job 38:4

"Physicists demonstrated a way of storing quantum information thatis less prone to errors by subjecting a quantum computer’s qubits to quasi-rhythmic laser pulses based on the Fibonacci sequence.
Physicists have created a remarkable, never-before-seen phase of matter by shining a laser pulse sequence inspired by the Fibonacci sequence at atoms inside a quantum computer. Despite there still being only one singular flow of time, the phase has the benefits of two time dimensions, the physicists reported on July 20 in the journal Nature.

This mind-bending property offers a highly desirable benefit: Information stored in the phase is far more protected against errors than with alternative setups currently used in quantum computers. As a result, the information can exist for far longer without getting garbled, an important milestone for making quantum computing viable, according to study lead author Philipp Dumitrescu.
The approach’s innovative use of an “extra” time dimension “is a completely different way of thinking about phases of matter,” says Dumitrescu.

Each of those atomic ions function as what physicists dub a quantum
bit, or ‘qubit.’ As opposed to conventional computers that quantify information in bits (each representing a 0 or a 1), the qubits used by quantum computers leverage the strangeness of quantum mechanics to store even more information. Just as Schrödinger’s cat is both dead and alive in its box, a qubit can be a 0, a 1, or a mashup — or ‘superposition’ — of both at the same time. That additional information density and the way qubits interact with one another promise to allow quantum computers to solve computational problems far beyond the reach of traditional computers." Divine Purpose of Chronology

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman,....Galatians 4:4

"If Chronology is "the soul of history," it is equally so of prophecy.
---Without it, the Scriptures would lose much of their harmony and
beauty. It
is carefully interwoven into the sacred text, and gives the order and dependence of the several parts on each other.
---The chronology of the Bible is as important in its place as any other subject of revelation.
---When disregarded, sad errors have been made in locating the historical and prophetical Scriptures.

An original feature of this analysis of Scripture Chronology
is the presenting in full, and in chronological order, the words of inspiration, which have a bearing on the time of the events and predictions therein recorded.
Time is measured by motion.
The swing of a clock pendulum marks seconds.
The revolutions of the earth mark days and years.
The earliest measure of time is the Day. Its duration is strikingly indicated by the marked contrast and succession of light and darkness. Being a natural division of time, it is very simple, and is convenient for the chronology of events within a limited period.
The Week, another primeval measure, is not a natural measure of time, as some astronomers and chronologers have supposed, indicated by the phases or quarters of the moon. It was originated by divine appointment at the creation-six days of labor and one of rest being wisely appointed for.
The Month is a natural measure of time, derived from the revolution of the moon.
The Year is the most convenient division of time. Previous to the deluge, and for a long time after, it was reckoned at three hundred and sixty days. As the sun returns annually to the same point in the heavens, it could not fail to be noticed as a natural measurement of time. The Egyptians attributed its discovery to the Phonecian, Hermes,-a diligent observer of the rising and setting of the stars; but it was evidently in use before the deluge.
Another convenient mode of marking time is by Cycles-a recurring period of years.
An Epoch is any remarkable date from which time is reckoned. It signifies a stop.
An Era is any indefinite series of years commencing at a known epoch. It signifies time-the time from a stop.
A Period is a definite series of years. The date of independence is the
Epoch from which the era of the independence is reckoned.
Epochs, eras, and periods, are to chronology what the cardinal points and prime meridians are to astronomy and geography."
Sylvester Bliss
