Creation Moment 1/2/2026 - The Genesis 3 attack

“But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).
In other words, the devil will use the same method on us that he used on Eve to get people to not believe the Word of God.

Q: So what method did he use on Eve?
We read about it in Genesis 3:1: “He said to the woman, ‘Did God actually say?’”
Another translation puts it this way: “Did God really say?”

Notice the first attack was on the authority of the Word of God to get Adam and Eve to doubt and disbelieve God’s Word.
The warning then is that the devil will attack the authority of God’s Word by creating doubt in his Word, which in the end can lead to unbelief.

I call this the Genesis 3 attack. That attack has never let up; it never changes. But what does change is how the attack manifests itself.
Q: But what is the main “Genesis 3 attack” today?
A: I suggest the teaching of evolution/millions of years, based on naturalism (atheism), that permeates the culture and church.
Evolution is really the pagan religion of this age, which secularists push as their justification for rejecting
 God and His Word."

Creation Moment 7/6/2025 - Adam & Eve's Skin Color

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Genesis 1:28 NKJV

"In Western countries, nearly every imaginative painting of Adam and Eve depicts two adult Caucasians with fair skin and blue eyes. These images, even when used as Bible illustrations, tend to shape the reader's mental image of the first man and woman. The origin of the darker-skinned races is often that they were descendants of Adam and Eve who had migrated to a hot climate where the suntan eventually became an inherited characteristic.
These images and explanations discredit Christianity.

The true explanation began to be resolved when it was shown that
human beings carry two genes for color and that each gene consists of "
black" or "white" alleles. One allele was received from the mother and the other from the father. The allele is part of the gene, and the gene is part of the DNA – while the DNA resides in the nucleus of every cell in our body. Our skin color is caused by the pigment melanin, and this is controlled by two pairs of genes that geneticists refer to using the letter designations Aa and Bb, where the capital letter represents dominant genes and the small letters represent recessive genes.

A and B, being dominant, produce melanin in good quantity, while recessive a and b produce only a minor amount of melanin. Hence, our coloration depends upon the number of black and white alleles we received from our parents. The color genes express themselves in only one place – specialized skin cells called the melanocytes – that produce granules of melanin that are delivered to neighboring cells.

Eve was made from Adam's rib and was thus a clone of Adam [Genesis 2:21-22]. They would therefore have had identical genes for melanin production. If they were both AABB, they would have been black and produced children of only the darkest coloration. If this were the case, the world's population today would be entirely Negro.

In fact, only around 10-14% of the world's population is black, so we can be certain that our first parents were not of the AABB combination. By the same argument, if Adam and Eve had both been aabb, all their children would have been aabb, meaning that all their descendants would be the lightest Caucasian possible – there would be no other colors. Clearly, this is not the case, so by a process of deduction, we can conclude that Adam and Eve were heterozygous, each having two dominant and two recessive genes, AaBb.

These color differences were likely amplified following the business at the Tower of Babel [Genesis 11:1-9] when the human gene pool was divided.

Loss of genetic information in an isolated population is well known and a documented problem for breeders of pure-bred dogs, horses, and other animals. It seems that one population group that migrated from the Tower of Babel suffered a greater loss of the genetic information required to produce melanin and became the Caucasians.

The bottom line is that Adam and Eve were not white or black but a good middle brown."

Creation Moment 6/22/2025 - Scripture vs. "Christians"

"The vast majority of mainline Protestant pastors here in America don’t believe the Bible.
And that’s not hyperbole—according to recent data from the National
Survey of Religious Leaders, only 25% of such pastors “
say they’re certain that Adam and Eve were real people” (by comparison, the study notes “80% of Evangelical pastors and 89% of black Protestant clergy affirm this belief with certainty”). Only 1 in 4 believe in a literal Adam and Eve! That’s certainly a contrast to the Bible’s view on the first couple:
He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?” (Matthew 19:4–5)
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:21–22)
But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3)
Yes, the New Testament certainly treats Adam and Eve as literal, historical people." AIG

Creation Moment 5/31/2025 - 6,000–6,500 years ago

"Evolutionists believed they had clear proof against the Biblical account, because ‘Mitochondrial Eve’ supposedly lived 200,000 years ago. However, recent evidence shows that mitochondrial DNA mutates far faster than previously thought.

If this new evidence is applied to ‘
Mitochondrial Eve,’ it indicates that she would have lived only 6,000–6,500 years ago. Of course, this is perfectly consistent with the Biblically indicated age of the ‘mother of all living’ (Gen. 3:20) but an enigma for evolution/long age beliefs.

Interestingly, there is a parallel account with males: evidence from the Y-chromosome is consistent with all people being descended from a single man The data is also consistent with a recent date for this ‘Y-chromosome Adam.’" CMI

Creation Moment 1/24/2025 - Adam and Eve genetic variation pre-programmed

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

"Theistic evolutionists present multiple genetic arguments against a literal
Adam and Eve.
One key argument asserts it would be impossible for a single human couple to give rise to the genetic diversity seen in the modern human population.
This implicitly assumes Adam and Eve would have been created without internal genetic diversity. If this were true, all observed variations would have to arise recently via random mutations.

Yet,
Adam and Eve could have been created massively heterozygous. ....a vast amount of genetic variation pre-programmed into their genomes.
This could logically provide the genetic basis for:
1) our human gifts and talents;
2) the many forms of human beauty; and
3) the various ways people have rapidly adapted to new habitats."

The Transfer of the Sinful Nature to Mankind

"In the garden there came to man another word,—the opposite of the word of God.
This word likewise was the expression of thought,
and the thought,
the product of mind.
To, receive this word
---was likewise to receive the thought expressed in the word;
---and to receive that thought was to be partaker of that mind.
This latter word was the opposite of the word of God;
the thought, the opposite of the thought of God;
this mind, the opposite of the mind of God.
To accept this word, instead of the word of God, was evidently to accept another mind than the mind of God.
And in the garden this latter word was received in place of the word of God.
And the fact that another mind had then been received, was
immediately manifest; for:

Genesis 3:6 ...she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
However, 1 Timothy 2:14 Adam was not deceived.
Seeing that Eve was in the transgression, he (Adam) by his own choice went with her. But the result was the same: the foreign and deceiving mind was received, and it now reigned.
The glory departed.
And whereas, before, they had reflected the image and glory of God, they now to their own shame reflected only the image and shame of the deceiver."

Creation Moment 5/21/2024 - No Reason to Reject Literal Adam & Eve

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Genesis 2:23

"Theistic evolutionists present multiple genetic arguments against a literal
Adam and Eve.
--One key argument asserts it would be impossible for a single
human couple to give rise to the genetic diversity seen in the modern human population.
--This implicitly assumes Adam and Eve would have been created without internal genetic diversity.
--If this were true, all observed variations would have to arise recently via random mutations. This would require incredibly high mutation rates, logically leading to rapid extinction.

Yet,
Adam and Eve could have been created massively heterozygous. --We have argued for over a decade that they could have been created with “designed diversity”.
--We have previously shown that a vast amount of genetic variation could have been pre-programmed into their genomes.
This could logically provide the genetic basis for:
1) our human gifts and talents;
2) the many forms of human beauty; and
3) the various ways people have rapidly adapted to new habitats.

It is also claimed that the currently observed human allele frequency patterns could not arise from a single couple. The logic here is that, since there were only four sets of chromosomes in Eden, all variants would have had an initial frequency of either 25%, 50%, or 75%. Today, most allelic variants have frequencies in the range of 0–10%. Therefore, it is claimed that observed human diversity disproves a literal Adam and Eve.

--Our analyses highlight several genetic mechanisms that can help
reconcile a literal
Adam and Eve with the human allele frequency distributions seen today. We use numerical simulation to show that two people, if they contain designed alleles, can in fact give rise to allele frequency distributions of the very same type as are now seen in modern man.

However, the genetic argument that there is no way that a literal Adam and Eve could have given rise to the observed human allele frequencies is clearly over-reaching and appears to be theologically reckless.
There is no compelling reason to reject Adam and Eve based on modern allele frequencies."

CASE STUDY: Lesson of Eve Beguiled

But I fear, lest by any means,
as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty,
so your minds should be corrupted
from the simplicity that is in Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:3

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.
And he said unto the woman,
I. (Questions the Word of God)
Yea, hath God said,
Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the serpent said unto the woman,
II. (You can be your own "god")
Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof,
then your eyes shall be opened,....

There's Only One Way - One Truth

"Satan styled himself as an authority in both the initial conflict with the angels in heaven and in the temptation of Eve.

--His proximity to God as the covering cherub (By the multitude of
thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:16) was used to artfully insinuate to the angels that he knew God and His law better than they did.

--To Eve, he presented himself as an authority on the fruit of the tree,
since the serpent was physically in the tree, and had presumably already tasted its fruit and acquired the power of speech thereby.

*In both scenarios, Satan suggested that the beings he sought to influence ought to defer to his positions because he had more experience and understanding than they did.

There is a great controversy raging between God and Satan, between truth and error. In a world of lies, Jesus calls to the world and says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man cometh unto the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
According to Christ, there’s One way.
One truth."

Creation Moment 3/26/2023 - Answer to Age Old Question: Which Came First? The Chicken Or The Egg?

And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Genesis 3:20

"God could have created a mother to take care of the baby.
Q: That is true, but where would she have come from? In other words, the obvious answer to this problem of the logical point for the commencement of the great cycle of living organisms is the adult.
A: And so God created Adam suddenly, as an adult, and Eve suddenly, as an adult—by purely supernatural methods not observable in our present world.
God’s creative plan introduced adult human beings fully capable of
bringing forth their own children and caring for them as today.
The Bible, then, does shed light on the question of which came first, the hen or the egg. Obviously God created the hen first, capable of laying her own eggs and hatching them. And thus the cycle of life began with the adult: full-grown fruit trees, adult animals, Adam and Eve." CMI

Genetic Clues from the Flood Account

"Like in the Creation story, there are only a few verses in the Flood account that help us with our model.
---About 10 generations after Creation, a severe, short bottleneck occurred in the human population. From untold numbers of people, the entire world population was reduced to eight souls with only three reproducing couples.
“So Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.” Gen 7:7
“Now the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth… These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.” Gen 9:18–19
We can draw many important deductions from these statements.
Q: For instance, based on Genesis 7 and 9, how many Y
chromosomes were on the Ark?
A: The answer: one. Yes, there were four men, but Noah gave his Y chromosome to each of his sons. Unless there was a mutation (entirely possible), each of the sons carried the exact same Y chromosome.
*We do not know how much mutation occurred prior to the flood. With the long life spans of the antediluvian patriarchs, it may be reasonable to assume little mutation had taken place, but all of Creation, including the human genome, had been cursed, so it may not be wise to conclude that there was no mutation prior to the Flood. The amount of mutation may be a moot point, however, for, if it occurred, the Flood should have wiped out most traces of it (all of it in the case of the Y chromosome).

Q: How many mitochondrial DNA lineages were on the Ark?
A: The answer: three. Yes, there were four women, but the Bible does not record Noah’s wife as having any children after the Flood (in this case, girl children). And notice the claim in Gen 9:19, “These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.” This is a strong indication that Noah’s wife did not contribute anything else to the world’s population.
With no prohibition against sibling marriage, yet, one or more of the daughters-in-law may have been her daughter, but this does not change the fact that, at first glance, we expect a maximum of three mitochondrial lineages in the current world population. There is a chance that there will be less, if there was very little mutation before the Flood or if several of the daughters-in-law were closely related. At most, we do not expect more than four.

Q: How many X chromosome lineages were on the Ark?
A: That depends. If you count it all up, you get eight. If, by chance, Noah’s wife passed on the same X chromosome to each of her three sons (25% probability), then there were seven. If Noah had a daughter after the Flood (not expected, but possible), there could be as many as nine X chromosome lineages. Either way, this is a considerable amount of genetic material.
And since X chromosomes recombine (in females), we are potentially looking at a huge amount of genetic diversity within the X chromosomes of the world.
Q: Does this fit the evidence?
A: Absolutely!

---It turns out that Y chromosomes are similar worldwide. According to the evolutionists, no “ancient” (i.e., highly mutated or highly divergent) Y chromosomes have been found.
This serves as a bit of a puzzle to the evolutionist, and they have had to resort to calling for a higher “reproductive variance” among men than women, high rates of “gene conversion” in the Y chromosome, or perhaps a “selective sweep” that wiped out the other male lines.

*As it turns out, there are three main mitochondrial DNA lineages

found across the world. The evolutionists have labeled these lines “M”, “N”, and “R”, so we’ll refer to them by the same names. They would not say these came off the Ark. They claim they were derived from older lines found in Africa, but this is based on a suite of assumptions

It also turns out that M, N, and R differ by only a few mutations. This gives us some indication of the amount of mutation that occurred in the generations prior to the Flood.

Let’s assume ten female generations from Eve to the ladies on the Ark. M and N are separated by about 8 mutations (a small fraction of the 16,500 letters in the mitochondrial genome). R is only 1 mutation away from N. This is an indication of the mutational load that occurred before the Flood. Given the assumption that mutations occur at equal rates in all lines, about four mutations separate M and N each from Eve (maybe four mutations in each line in ten generations). But what about R? It is very similar to N.
Q: Were N and R sisters, or perhaps more closely related to each other than they were to M?
---We’ll never know, but it sure is fascinating to think about.

One more line of evidence crops up in the amount of genetic diversity that has been found within people worldwide.
*Essentially, much less has been found than most (i.e., evolutionists!) predicted.
The general lack of diversity among people is the reason the Out of Africa model has humanity going through a disastrous, near-extinction bottleneck with only about 10,000 (and perhaps as few as 1,000) people surviving.

-*-However, the reason for this lack of diversity is twofold.
First, the human race started out with only two people.
Second, the human race is not that old and has not accumulated a lot of mutations, despite the high mutation rate.
Third, there actually was a bottleneck event, Noah’s Flood!""
 CMI

Creation Moment 3/5/2023 - The two verses on Genetics

"There are two brief passages in the Creation account we can use to draw some conclusions about human genetic history.
“And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being.” Gen 2:7
“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.” Gen 2:21–22
These simple statements have profound implications.
---They put a limit on the amount of diversity we should find in people living today.
---The Bible clearly says the human race started out with two people only.

Q: But how different were these two people?
A: There is an intriguing possibility that Eve was a clone of Adam.
The science of cloning involves taking DNA from an organism and using it to manufacture an almost perfect copy of the original.
*Here, God is taking a piece of flesh, with cells, organelles, and, importantly, Adam’s DNA, and using it to manufacture a woman.
Of course, she could not be a perfect clone, because she was a girl! Q: But what if God had taken Adam’s genome and used it to manufacture Eve?
A: All he would have had to do was to leave out Adam’s Y chromosome and double his X chromosome and, voilá, instant woman!

I do not know if Eve was genetically identical to Adam. The only reason I bring this up is because we have two possibilities in our Biblical model of human genetic history: one original genome or two.

Your genome is like an encyclopedia (almost literally). And, like an encyclopedia, the genome is broken down into volumes, called chromosomes, but you have two copies of each volume (with the exception of the X and Y chromosomes; women have two Xs but men have one X and one Y).
Imagine comparing two duplicate volumes side by side and finding that one word in a particular sentence is spelled differently in each volume (perhaps “color” vs “colour”).

*Can you see that if Eve was a clone of Adam, there would have been, at most, two possible variants at any point in the genome?
*If Eve was not a clone, however, there would have been, at most, four possible variants at any point in the genome (because each of the original chromosomes came in four copies). This still allows for a lot of diversity overall, but it restricts the variation at any one spot to 2, 3, or 4 original readings.

Q: Does this fit the evidence?
A: Absolutely! Most variable places in the genome come in two versions and these versions are spread out across the world. There are some highly variable places that seem to contradict this, but most of these are due to mutations that occurred in the different subpopulations after Babel.

*There are indications, however, that Eve may not have been a clone.
The ABO blood group is a textbook example of a gene with more than two versions. There are three main versions of the blood type gene (A, B, and O). However, many, but not all, people with type O blood carry something that looks very much like a mutant A (the mutation prevents the manufacturing of the type A trait on the outside of cells).
*So here is a gene with more than two versions, but one of the main versions is clearly a mutation. This is true for many other genes, although, as usual, there are exceptions.

The important take home point is that essentially all of the genetic variation among people today could have been carried within two people, if you discount mutations that occurred after our dispersion across the globe. This is a surprise to many." CMI

Your Biological Connection to the Sabbath

".....that the Sabbath was then sanctified for the use of some future generation, for to every command there must be two parties:
1.The one commanding, and
2.The one commanded.
----A command cannot be made unless someone is present to receive it.
In this case God issued the command, and Adam and Eve were the ones to whom it was directed. But they represent all who should afterward live upon the earth.
 Genesis 3
20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve [Hebrew: Chavah: that is, Living]; because she was the mother of all living.
It follows, then, that the Sabbath commandment embraces the whole world; all who have descended from Adam and Eve."

Eve & the Definition of a Woman

And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Genesis 3:20

"Until quite recently, an article on this subject would have been deemed unnecessary at best, perhaps even a little absurd. Not anymore. In our increasingly post-Christian culture, confusion abounds, so much so that the Oxford English Dictionary recently altered dozens of definitions after a gender diversity review, among them ‘woman’ and ‘man’.
Q: So, how are we to define what a woman is?
The Hebrew text identifies the woman as ishshah because she was taken out of ish (the man).
She was called by the proper name Eve (or Chavvah);
the mother of all the living.
The separateness, but with complementarity, is clear in this binary structure to human society...... a woman has been designed, with various biological organs for bearing and nurturing children.....There is simply no justification for ‘cancelling Eve’, whether Biblically or scientifically—from genetics, anatomy, or physiology.
Ironically, in a society that claims to prize equality, moves in this direction are arguably a form of misogyny." CMI

Creation Moment 8/18/2022 - Luther on Eve's creation

"V. 18. And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an helpmeet for him (which may be before him).
But we may here inquire when God says, "It is not good that the
man should be alone
," what is that "good" of which God is speaking, seeing that Adam was righteous and had no need of the woman as we have, who bear about with us our flesh all leprous with sin?

My reply is, that God is speaking of a common "good," or the good of the species; not of personal good. All personal good Adam already possessed. He enjoyed perfect innocency.
He could not propagate his species by generation. Adam was alone.
Nor had he as yet a companion for that wonderful work of generation and the preservation of his species.
The "good" therefore here divinely expressed, signifies the multiplying of the human race.
Wherefore, in contemplating woman, we must consider not only the place in domestic government which she fills, but the remedy for sin, which God has made her to supply; as the apostle Paul says, "To avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife," 1 Cor. 7:2.

---Hence it follows that if the woman had not been deceived by the serpent and had not sinned, she would have been in all respects equal to Adam.
For her now being subject to her husband is the punishment laid upon her of God since sin and on account of sin; as are also all her other troubles and perils, her labor and pain in bringing forth children, with an infinite number of other sorrows.
---Woman therefore is not now what Eve was at her creation. The condition of woman then was inconceivably better and more excellent than now; she was then in no respect whatever inferior to Adam, whether you consider the endowments of her body or those of her mind."

Haw-wah

"Outlined below are five things about Eve which you may not have known before:
 1. Eve is not her real name:
Adam is called Adam in Hebrew,
but Eve is not actually called Eve.
In the Garden of Eden, when addressing her husband by name, she would have used ‘Adam’. Whereas Adam would not have referred to her as ‘Eve’, but as ‘Haw-wah’, her name as transliterated from Biblical Hebrew. (The opening ‘h’ is a
guttural sound, sometimes written as ‘ch’ or ‘kh’.). ‘Eve’, the Hebrew word is ×—ַוָּ֑×”. When transliterated today based on the way it is pronounced by modern Hebrew speakers, this is written as Havah or Chavah. (The sound shift of ‘w’ to ‘v’ has occurred in many languages over time.) Havah is linked to the Hebrew word for life.
Jerome translated this from Hebrew and Greek in the 4th century AD. It became the most widely used Bible translation in western Christianity for over a thousand years. In the Latin Vulgate, Havah was transliterated quite closely as Hava or Heva in the Old Testament. The opening ‘h’ later became essentially silent in Ecclesiastical Latin. In the New Testament, it was translated from the Greek as Eva. From Eva came the later anglicized version Eve. The name Eve as we pronounce it today would have been unknown to Adam.

2. Eve was not just the mother of boys:
Not only was Eve the first woman and wife, but also the first mother. The Bible tells us that Eve had three boys: Cain, Abel,
and Seth. It also states that Adam fathered other sons, and daughters. Adam named his wife Havah (see point 1) as she would be the mother of all living and so her daughters became the first naturally born women.
Mitochondrial DNA is passed on through the female line. Studies of mitochondrial DNA from people groups around the world have shown that all women alive today can trace their ancestry back to one woman (called mitochondrial Eve).

3. Eve looked different from historical depictions:
Eve has historically been depicted as a Caucasian (‘white’ skin
tone) in Western art. Skin tone depends on a coloring pigment called melanin. How much or how little someone can produce will dictate how dark or light their skin is. Humanity is one race, all members of which descend from Adam and Eve. They were created with the full range of skin tone available from a combination of their genes, which was most likely expressed as mid-brown in themselves.

4. Eve thought she gave birth to the Messiah:
Eve mistakenly applies God’s promise to Cain. Genesis 4:1
reads, “Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, ‘I have produced a man with the help of the Lord’”. In Hebrew, Eve literally says, “I have the Man, the Lord”. Looking expectantly forward to God’s promise, her words show that she thinks “the Man” she has just given birth to is the promised redeemer."

Creation Moment 12/22/2021 - Christ Connected Genesis 1 & 2 as a Coherent Narrative

"......New Testament texts which tie Genesis 1 and 2 close together in
time.......
In Matthew 19, for example, Jesus connects the “one flesh” couple in Genesis 2 with the “male and female” of Genesis 1 and says that God established marriage “from the beginning” (Matthew 19:4, 8), not generations down the road." CMI
