But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

".... heard it said from the pulpit that God could have chosen any one
of the commandments for a final test; a final ‘tool’ to separate His true children from the professed.
But —this is just not so.
All the other commandments man can claim to arrive at through his own reason, all others can be kept by people who do it for their own reasons—having nothing to do with God.
The Sabbath of the Lord thy God is different.
Man does not arrive at it naturally, and man cannot even keep it properly unless he has faith that God exists as a Person in reality."
