There seem to be some astir on the Streets of Babylon thinking the so-called rapture will occur on "April 23".....

"David Meade tells the U.K.'s Daily Express newspaper that on April 23, the sun and moon will be in Virgo, as will Jupiter, which represents the Messiah.

For a certain branch of evangelical Christianity, Revelation 12:1–2 describes the beginning of what is known as the Rapture and the second coming of Christ.

In the passage, the woman is represented as Virgo.
According to Meade, the alignment represents “the Lion of the tribe of Judah,” marking the Rapture, the belief that Christ will bring the faithful into paradise prior to a period of tribulation on earth that precedes the end of time.

Meade said he believes the so-called Planet X, which is also known as Nibiru, will appear above the sky on the April date, causing volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and earthquakes.
NASA repeatedly has said Planet X is a hoax.

However, author Jonathan Sarfati remains skeptical.
He told the Express: “As usual with any astrology (or Christian adaptations of it), one cherry-picks the stars that fit the desired conclusion.
“There is nothing to suggest that April 23 is a momentous date for biblical prophecy, and Christians need to be careful about being drawn into such sensationalist claims." FOX

There seem to be some on the Streets of Babylon doing it AGAIN...this time "Oct.15"...

"The beginning of the End Times will actually occur on Oct. 15, according to a Christian numerologist who denies having ever said that the world would end on Sept. 23 of this year.

David Meade, who received much attention for his claims on when the events of the Book of Revelation would begin to transpire, explained in a recent post on his website that the much heralded Sept. 23 was not supposed to be considered the end of the world.
"When the birth of Jupiter from Virgo occurs, we also see the fulfillment of Genesis 3:15 and Revelation 12:4 when great and fearful signs in the heavens are given. This birthing occurs according to the latest astronomical data available on October 15, 2017. This is when the King Planet – Jupiter, crosses the womb region of Virgo."
Meade went on to explain that this marks "the day of the onset of the 7-Year Day of the Lord, or Tribulation."
"If we use astronomical calculations and the Book of Revelation only, and no extra-Biblical source such as visions, this takes us to the most important date of this century or millennium – October 15 this year of 2017," continued Meade." CP

There seems to be yet another date set for the Secret "Rapture" on the Streets of Babylon this Saturday....Not again...

"Several videos claiming the rapture will begin on Saturday, September 23^rd, have recently gone viral..... the man behind these declarations is a Christian researcher named David Meade, who surmised the rapture would occur 33 days after last month’s solar eclipse. rapture-related false prophecy.

The Washington Post seems to be found littering the Streets of Babylon by giving credibility to this "secret rapture" nonsense in 2017....talk about Fake News....

"Ray, a writer for the evangelical Christian publication Unsealed, views this eclipse as one of several astronomical signs that the day when Christians will be whisked away from the Earth is fast approaching.

“The Bible says a number of times that there’s going to be signs in the heavens before Jesus Christ returns to Earth. We see this as possibly one of those,” Ray said about the eclipse.

He is even more interested in another astronomical event that will occur 33 days after the eclipse, on Sept. 23, 2017.

The Book of Revelation, which is full of extraordinary imagery, describes a woman “clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head” who gives birth to a boy who will “rule all the nations with an iron scepter” while she is threatened by a red, seven-headed dragon. The woman then grows the wings of an eagle and is swallowed up by the earth.

Ray says that image will be created in the sky on Sept. 23. The constellation Virgo — representing the woman — will be clothed in sunlight, in a position that is over the moon and under nine stars and three planets. The planet Jupiter, which will have been inside Virgo — in her womb, in Ray’s interpretation — will move out of Virgo, as if she is giving birth.

Astronomers don’t see this as a particularly unusual event. But to Ray and others, it could be the sign that the Rapture is ready to happen: “We think it’s God signaling to us that he’s about to make his next move.”

There seem to be some on the Streets of Babylon who think 2017-2024 is a 7 year window for the mythical "secret rapture" to occur....(and using a map of Illinois to prove it)

"This is a theory regarding the Tribulation beginning in Fall 2017 and ending in Fall 2024.  For evidence that we are in the general season of the Lord's return.....
We refuse to buy into the "Thus saith the LORD" crowd when it comes to rapture/Tribulation/Second Coming dates:  Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32.  HOWEVER, we also refuse to buy into the logic used by the mockers who say it's useless to research and watch.  Jesus did say we cannot know the day or hour, but He also IMPLORED us to watch for the signs and to know the season...

2017 to 2024 offers the only timeline in recent memory where the Tribulation of 2550 days could begin unquestionably on a Fall Feast date and end on a Fall Feast date.  In fact, the alignment is kind of shocking: exactly 2550 days fits with the Tribulation beginning on the last day of the last Fall Feast (Tabernacles, October 11th, 2017) and ending on the first day of the first Fall Feast (Rosh Hashanah, October 4th, 2024).  This is particularly interesting in light of the likely possibility Jesus will fulfill the final three Fall Feasts in short, subsequent order while on earth, just as He fulfilled the

Spring Feasts.  The Second Coming could be on the Feast of Trumpets in 2024, allowing Jesus to fulfill that feast, followed 10 days later by a fulfillment of the Day of Atonement, and 5 days after that by a fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles...... Though Jonathan Cahn found an amazing pattern, he was looking at when economic crashes began, not when they reached their worst point.  In the previous two cycles, the crashes reached their worst points in 2009 and 2002, respectively, not 2008 and 2001.  According to what many think is a more accurate Shemitah and Jubilee cycle, the next Shemitah year is actually 2016/2017 and the next Jubilee year is 2017/2018. ....This specific time period is demarcated by two total solar eclipses forming an 'X' right over the chief Gentile and Evangelical nation on earth - the United States.  The point on the map where the two eclipses intersect is a region of Illinois known as "Little Egypt" and often just "Egypt".  The world may very well be undergoing a replay of the events of Exodus."
