The author of this psalm has realized that belief in God’s promises has formed the basis for the saint’s prayer.
Essentially, this psalm contains the nation’s prayers for David’s royal descendants which look ahead, even to Messiah.

Psalm 132:11 The LORD hath sworn [in] truth unto David; He will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
Psalm 132:18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish."
