And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth
for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and
at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be
found written in the book.
Daniel 12:1
"Michael Stands Up --
Q: Who is Michael, and what is his standing
up?A: Michael is called the "archangel" in Jude 9. This means the chief
angel, or the head over the angels. There is but one.
Q: Who is he?
A: He is
the one whose voice is heard from heaven when the dead are raised. (For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1
Thessalonians 4: 16)
Q: Whose voice is heard in connection with that
event?
A: The voice of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, John 5: 28)
Tracing back
the evidence with this fact as a basis, we reach the following
conclusion:
The voice of the Son of God is the voice of the Archangel;
the Archangel, then, must be the Son of God.
But the Archangel is called
Michael;
hence Michael must be the name given to the Son of God.
He is the great Prince."
