human, and hopefully that is still true. 
But human cases are now popping up in the UK, and authorities are not exactly sure how it is spreading.
As we have seen with COVID, deadly diseases can mutate in dangerous and

can ultimately turn into a worldwide pandemic. So we should definitely
keep an eye on this alarming new outbreak in the UK, because it could

In humans, the symptoms of monkeypox are similar to but milder than the symptoms of smallpox. Monkeypox begins with fever, headache, muscle aches, and exhaustion. The main difference between symptoms of smallpox and monkeypox is that monkeypox causes lymph nodes to swell (lymphadenopathy) while smallpox does not. The incubation period (time from infection to symptoms) for monkeypox is usually 7−14 days but can range from 5−21 days.
Since it
has such a long incubation period, that would make it an ideal candidate
for a global pandemic if it mutates into a form that can spread easily
among humans.
