This is one of four passages that Paul quotes from the Old Testament (in Romans 15), to prove that God is interested in saving Gentiles.
The psalm looks back to God’s intent for Adam and Eve in Eden (Genesis 1-2), and looks ahead to the ultimate fulfillment in the new heavens and earth (Revelation 21-22).
