Earth, Wind & Fire Case Study

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12
So Earth, Wind & Fire (who was one of my favorite bands back in the day) really was into Paganistic Occultic things for Musical Influence?
And Serpentine Fire, which I always thought was one of their best songs, was really a yoga inspired song about......?
This is odd given that Philip Baily became a Christian Singer in the late 80's...I never heard him warn people....

"For years, the tap of Earth, Wind & Fire flowed with American
soul, R&B and funk....really came from founder Maurice White.

He set the pace, says younger brother and fellow band member Verdine White. And that pace could be linked to Maurice White's own abiding interest in Kemet — the word for ancient Egypt.

In the tune, White says the band has studied all kinds of cult science, astrology, mysticism and world religion — and if you come from a hip place he says, "all these things help because they give you insight to your inner self."

"He got very much into yoga, he got very much into meditation,
eating well," .... "Part of that for him was the much broader spirituality, which brought him to Egypt."....you only need to look at the covers to Earth, Wind & Fire albums. Religious symbolism and imagery are clear.
Graham was curious when she tuned into the music. There was the Star of David and a cross, together with an Ankh and Eye of Horus. "You saw all these different symbols and it gave you the sense of a broader world outside of the world you knew," ....

The Serpentine Fire is a yoga concept, and it gets pretty deep. The song was written by group members Verdine and Maurice White,
who are very spiritual and focused on positive lifestyle choices - Maurice once said he was "a universal being trying to accomplish as many things as I can in this cosmic trip."...they describe the Serpentine Fire as your creative energy - the force that guides you and makes you unique.
The deeper explanation comes from Kundalini yoga, where spinal awareness can be achieved by envisioning the body as a serpent. Secretions in the spine can be stimulated to travel from the sex organs to the brain, creating vitality throughout the body - the Serpentine Fire."
