"Congregants of the Ambassador Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lauderdale Lakes are relying on faith to cope after a van crash in Lee County on Saturday left three passengers dead and 13 injured.
"It's a terrible situation for everyone involved," Pastor Henoc Paulicin said Monday. Forty church members — part of a mission group called the Maranatha French — were traveling to a religious convention in Tampa when one of their three vans overturned on Interstate 75 in Estero. "It has definitely caused us to pray more. We are giving praise because it could have been much worse." Paulicin said.
Nostra Damas, 20, of North Lauderdale, died Saturday; Ose Elian, 22, and Gertha Petit Frere, 62, both of Sunrise, died Sunday after the wreck on the Corkscrew Road overpass just west of the Miromar Outlets.
The vans left about 4:15 a.m. from a parking lot at 5770 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Lauderhill, Paulicin said. Their destination was a one-day meeting of 1,000 Seventh-day Adventists who anticipated a "spiritual recharge" from a day of prayer and sermons by church leaders, Paulicin said."

Sad, Sad Lesson-Always Remember-
1) ...but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Ecclesiastes 9:11
2) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life?
It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4:14
