"Robin Westman, a biological man who was living as a woman, has been implicated in Wednesday’s shooting at a Catholic church in Minneapolis, where at least two people are dead and more than a dozen children have been wounded. The church serves a K-8 school that just began its school year two days ago.

Former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele — who now works as a partisan left-wing host for MSNBC — trashed Christians and conservatives for offering prayers in the aftermath of Wednesday’s shooting targeting the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
“The thoughts and prayers, I’m so beyond, so beyond that nonsense, the lie of that,” he added with a look of pure disgust on his face. “Because what we have are people who continue to stand in the way of actually doing something to stop the violence against their own kids. It is amazing to me. We watch young kids die in classrooms and now in church, and all we get are thoughts and prayers.”

The alleged Minneapolis shooter displayed his hatred for Christianity

in multiple ways, which included pinning a picture of Jesus on a body target and drawing himself talking to a “demon” in the mirror.
In a long manifesto posted to YouTube, the shooter revealed a strong hatred of Christianity by pinning a picture of Jesus Christ on a body target. He also wrote “Where is Your God?” on a gun magazine.
In his notebook, the shooter also drew a cartoon picture, presumably of himself, talking to a “demon” in the mirror that advised him to kill himself."

Perhaps the most remarkable statement is when Pope Leo tells Catholic politicians to “deepen their understanding of the doctrine” and then to “put it into practice in the exercise of your functions and in the drafting of laws.” 

He is directly merging the legislative processes of the state with the application of Catholic teaching. In other words, Pope Leo wants Catholic doctrine to serve as the blueprint for law and order." AdventMessenger

Creation Moment 8/30/2025 - Biofluorescence

"Biofluorescence is a phenomenon in which creatures—plant or

animal—absorb light at a certain wavelength and release or emit it at a different wavelength. The light from the animal becomes a different color from the light that was absorbed.

The title of the recent article by the American Museum of Natural History is, “Fish Biofluorescence Has Evolved More Than 100 Times in 112 Million Years, Researchers Reveal.” Non-evolutionists would be more than satisfied to read how just one of those more than 100 examples evolved from scratch. Just one.

In the abstract of the referenced study by Carr et al. in Nature, the authors state,

"In this study, we present a comprehensive account of all known biofluorescent teleosts [fishes] and estimate the timing and frequency of the evolution of biofluorescence across this diverse group. We show that biofluorescence evolved numerous times in marine teleosts and is estimated to date back ~112 mya in Anguilliformes (true eels).'

Q: Do they “show” this? 

A: No. Additionally, to say “that biofluorescence evolved numerous times in marine teleosts” is not an explanation of biofluorescent origin, nor is saying that this complex biochemical process “has evolved independently more than 100 times.” Instead, we creationists say God created biofluorescence in a number of marine teleosts and in Anguilliformes (true eels) thousands of years ago.

But by rejecting God and His creation, evolutionists like Emily Carr of the American Museum of Natural History can only state that
to really get to the root of why and how these species use this unique adaptation — whether for camouflage, predation, or reproduction — we need to understand the underlying evolutionary story as well as the scope of biofluorescence as it currently exists.

*But there is no “underlying evolutionary story” to understand.
It is one thing for scientists to study the mechanism of

biofluorescence and to elucidate the structure of proteins involved. For example, zoologists determined the structure of the green fluorescent protein (GFP) structure isolated from the jellyfish Aequorea Victoria. It was found to be encoded by a single gene. 

--But it is altogether different to claim in a science paper’s title the “Evolution of Biofluorescence in Marine Fishes” when this development has not been described.

Most evolutionists rely on the unscientific idea of convergent evolution in an attempt to explain, in this case, fluorescence. For example, “multiple red/green color diversification events in the [green fluorescent protein] superfamily may reflect convergent evolution of the more complex three-step pathway.” 

But Lee Spetner said,

"Convergent evolution is…an invention. It was invented solely to avoid addressing the failure of the phylogenetic tree to support Common Descent. There is no theoretical support for convergence, and whatever evidence has been given for it is the product of a circular argument."

Ugalde et al. also said that the “red color appears to have evolved gradually by small incremental transitions.” 

Q: But what exactly were these small transitions? 

Q: What was the biomolecule that began this conversion to the red color? 

--Once again, evolution is claimed without being described or demonstrated.

Similarly, toward the end of the SciNews article, the reader is still left wondering about the origin of biofluorescence in fishes. The article

ended with, “As these studies show, biofluorescence is both pervasive and incredibly phenotypically variable among marine fishes.”

Who would doubt it? But what is the origin of biofluorescence? How did such a remarkable ability evolve via chance and time?

With no explanation on the origin of biofluorescence, we are forced to conclude that scientists simply do not have one. The conclusions based on the process of evolutionary development of biofluorescence are therefore suspect. 

When we turn our eyes to Scripture, however, we find a consistent and truthful answer: God made them all.
So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. Psalms 104:25."

"Harvard scientist Avi Loeb earnestly hopes for world leaders to join hands and work towards a common threat, which 3I/ATLAS could be.
A massive interstellar object is currently hurdling through our solar system at incredible speeds. This is  3I/ATLAS. It's moving at about 58 kilometers per second at this moment in time. 

That's already faster than the orbital velocity of Mercury, which is the fastest planet in our solar system being closest to the sun. and  3I/ATLAS will speed up to about 68 kilometers per second during its closest approach to the sun, its perihelion, on October 29th of this year, 2025. 

The other thing about  3I/ATLAS is that it is absolutely massive. It has a coma surrounding it that right now has been calculated to be about 700,000 kilometers across. That is half the diameter of the sun. Now the actual nucleus inside it that is unknown but there are estimates now that's about 46 to 50 kilometers in diameter. So this is
 a massive object. If we just look at its nucleus size coming in from beyond our solar system and if we look at its envelope of dusty gas and plasma it is half the diameter of the sun. So, this is an absolutely massive object." SB

• “I suggest that we might look to the past, to that towering figure of

Saint Augustine of Hippo. As a leading voice of the Church in the late Roman era, he witnessed immense upheavals and social disintegration.”
• “Augustine encouraged Christians to infuse the earthly society with the values of God’s Kingdom, thereby directing history toward its ultimate fulfillment in God, while also allowing for authentic human flourishing in this life.”

“In your vocation as Catholic lawmakers and public servants, you are called to be bridge-builders.”

Pope Leo’s appeal is a direct invitation for lawmakers to infuse public policy with Catholic principles. While framed in terms of human flourishing, solidarity, and peace, such language often conceals Rome’s long-standing agenda of uniting church and state under its moral authority.
This is a foreshadowing of the coming crisis described in Revelation 13, when political powers (the “beast” and the “image of the beast”) enforce religious mandates under the guise of promoting the good of society.

When Catholic legislators begin embedding their doctrines into civil law, issues such as Sunday sacredness, church traditions will ultimately result in enforced worship—where liberty of conscience is overruled by the power of the state."

The Monstersauria are characterized by their large size and distinctive features like pitted, polygonal armor attached to their skulls and sharp, spire-like teeth. So by modern lizard standards, a very large animal, similar in size to a Savannah monitor lizard; something that you wouldn’t want to mess around with.

The rocks where Bolg was discovered, the Kaiparowits Formation of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, have emerged as a paleontological hotspot over the past 25 years, producing one of the most astounding dinosaur-dominated records anywhere in North America with dozens of new species and critical insights into the past."

Creation Moment 8/28/2025 - Lewontin’s Folly

York Review of Books.... There he made clear that science is to be understood as an instrument of materialism: “It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated.”

Does that level of dogmatic certainty produce a reliably clear picture of nature? In the NYRB essay, Lewontin mentions a controversy in evolution: 

Q: Can life forms acquire characteristics during their lifespan that they pass on to their offspring?

A: He was quite certain that the answer is no:

"But no serious student of epistemology any longer takes the naive view of science as a process of Baconian induction from theoretically unorganized observations. There can be no observations without an immense apparatus of preexisting theory. Before sense experiences

become “observations” we need a theoretical question, and what counts as a relevant observation depends upon a theoretical frame into which it is to be placed. Repeatable observations that do not fit into an existing frame have a way of disappearing from view, and the experiments that produced them are not revisited. In the 1930s well-established and respectable geneticists described “dauer-modifications,” environmentally induced changes in organisms that were passed on to offspring and only slowly disappeared in succeeding generations. As the science of genetics hardened, with its definitive rejection of any possibility of the inheritance of acquired characteristics, observations of dauer-modifications were sent to the scrapheap where they still lie, jumbled together with other decomNow, the prose is a bit dense, but by “dauer-modifications,” 

Lewontin is referring to “an acquired character transmitted through the cytoplasm to several succeeding generations but not incorporated into the permanent heredity of the strain” (Merriam–Webster). Today, that’s generally called epigenetic change.

Notice how Lewontin — guardian of science as interpreted through materialism — handled the question: “As the science of genetics hardened, with its definitive rejection of any possibility of the inheritance of acquired characteristics, observations of dauer-modifications were sent to the scrapheap where they still lie, jumbled together with other decommissioned facts.”

It seems that materialism, at least in Lewontin’s day, could simply

decommission a whole set of observations that did not accord with the hardening dogma of a science, in this case, genetics.

Now, scientists are exploring how organisms can pass on epigenetic traits, which are features that contribute to an individual’s phenotype without altering the underlying gene sequence. Epigenetic changes include methyl groups tagged onto DNA, modifications to the histones that wrap DNA, and the breakdown of mRNA transcripts to silence genes. Though scientists have yet to unravel the precise mechanisms behind epigenetic inheritance, recent evidence reveals noncoding RNA could be pivotal to passing on acquired traits.

In short, Lewontin’s dogmatic commitment to materialism seems to have functioned as a reinforcer of dogmatism in general. Epigenetics is probably not immaterial, of course; it is a natural process like many others. But somehow, when dogmatism seemed to be a virtue, the very idea of its existence got in the way of the “definitive
rejection of any possibility of the inheritance of acquired characteristics” — and the rest is history. Not an inspiring history. Rather, one that should serve as a warning.

In writing that science’s materialism is absolute, Richard Lewontin wrote as one who did not grasp the fatal flaw in his absolutism. 

If the mind is an illusion of the brain, the pursuit of science is illusory too. If the mind is real but immaterial, science is saved — but materialism is dead."

Creation Moment 8/27/2025 - Medical Science Points Toward a Creator

"Each mitochondrion is as complex as a factory, but is condensed into a tiny size of 0.5–3 µm (about the same size as a small bacterium—invisible to the naked eye). Each one works to produce energy (in

the form of adenosine triphosphate—ATP) from sugar and oxygen, utilizing an amazing miniature electric motor. The mitochondrion is like a power plant that supports our lives, as well as the lives of many other organisms, including plants.

It seems self-evident that such a sophisticated structure and mechanism could only be so ingeniously designed by a super-intelligent Creator. 

When we see a well-made Rolex watch or a motorcar, we know that each had to be designed by intelligent and specialized designers. The mitochondria are much more complex than a Rolex watch!

Evolution is supposed to proceed from simpler to more complex via mutations adding new functions to existing simpler organisms. 

--Mutations are accidental changes to the existing DNA code, the inherited information that each generation receives from the preceding one. 

--We do see mutations happening from time to time, but they lead to diseases and death—they don’t produce new structures or cellular pathways or ‘super humans’ with endless energy.

To sum up, a random change (mutation) in the genetics of mitochondria causes disastrous consequences, resulting in physical and psychological suffering. 

--Other than in comic books, mutations have not created more powerful or indestructible human beings. Rather, they have produced degeneration, disease, misery, and suffering in this real, fallen world (For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:22,23)."

"According to a new study by NASA, Earth is running out of oxygen, and they even know when it will occur. 

The study was led by Kazumi Ozaki from Toho University and Christopher Reinhard from Georgia Tech and sought to model the far future of Earth's atmosphere. 

The team discovered that the Earth's oxygen levels will eventually collapse to a fraction of what it is today as the sun grows brighter over time. 

According to their simulations, the oxygenated phase of our planet's atmosphere will last for around a billion more years before rapidly transitioning back to an environment reminiscent of the ancient past.
Due to this sudden cutoff of oxygen production, levels rapidly plummet, and life as we know it comes to a dramatic end.

According to the study, the estimate is that the remaining lifespan of our planet is around ~1.08 ± 0.14 billion years.

Prayer of Asa

"The faith of Asa was put to a severe test when "Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots," invaded his kingdom. 2 Chronicles 14:9. 

In this crisis Asa did not put his trust in the "fenced cities in Judah" that he had built, with walls, and towers, gates, and bars, nor in the "mighty men of valor" in his carefully trained army. Verses 6-8. 

The king's trust was in Jehovah of hosts, in whose name marvelous deliverances had been wrought in behalf of Israel of old. Setting his forces in battle array, he sought the help of God.

Having sought the Lord in the days of prosperity, the king could

now rely upon Him in the day of adversity. His petitions showed that he was not a stranger to God's wonderful power. "It is nothing with Thee to help," he pleaded, "whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on Thee, and in Thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, Thou art our God; let not man prevail against Thee." Verse 11.

The prayer of Asa is one that every Christian believer may fittingly offer. We fight in a warfare, not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. See Ephesians 6:12."

Creation Moment 8/26/2025 - When Darwinists are baffled by the science

"ASU scientists uncover new fossils — and a new species of ancient human ancestor (Arizona State, 13 Aug 2025). Science Daily gave its copy of this press release a more provocative title: “Ancient fossil discovery in Ethiopia rewrites human origins.” 

Q: How many times have we heard that refrain before? 

But of course, such rewrites are always put in a positive light: the

new fossils “shed new light on human evolution.” It would be more accurate to say that evolutionary paleoanthropologists are stubbing their toes in the dark.

Most interesting in the press release is this statement that demolishes (again) the iconic March of Human Progress:
“This new research shows that the image many of us have in our minds of an ape to a Neanderthal to a modern human is not correct — evolution doesn’t work like that,” ASU paleoecologist Kaye Reed said. “Here we have two hominin species that are together. And human evolution is not linear — it’s a bushy tree; there are life forms that go extinct.”
The “new species of ancient human ancestor” alluded to in the headline is another ape: another Australopithecine, but not Lucy’s brother.

A team of international scientists has discovered new fossils at a field site in Africa that indicate Australopithecus and the oldest specimens of Homo coexisted at the same place in Africa at the same time — between 2.6 million and 2.8 million years ago. 

The paleoanthropologists discovered a new species of Australopithecus that has never been found anywhere.
The new ape fossil evidence is fragmentary, however: only 13 teeth. (Reminder: mistakes were made with teeth before in early man studies: for instance, Nebraska Man). But the researchers have convinced themselves that the teeth are not from the same species as Lucy, which was named by its discoverer, Donald Johanson, Australopithecus [Southern Ape] afarensis [from the Afar region of Ethiopia]. They need more fossils to figure out what to call this new ape species that screeched from Afar.

The most notable take-away from this typical yarn is the first quotation above:

Creation Moment 8/25/2025 - "shocking study" to evolutionists

"Yes, it’s a shocking study—humans had babies with other humans in the past. I know that’s probably very surprising. . . well, that is, if you’re an evolutionist and believe mankind evolved slowly, with a variety of different species, over hundreds of thousands of years! If you’re a creationist who starts with God’s Word, a new study that reveals Homo erectus and Homo sapiens (anatomically modern man) may have had children together is not surprising at all.

A new study of fossilized teeth from China, belonging to the Hualongdong people, found “a mix of archaic and modern tooth features.” The teeth have features that appear “modern,” such as “the small size of the wisdom teeth.” But the molars have thick roots, “more similar to those found in H. erectus.” A previous study of the skeletons found something similar—the facial features look like modern humans, but the limb proportions point toward Homo erectus.
Regarding the teeth, a study co-author said,

"It’s a mosaic of. . . traits never seen before—almost as if the evolutionary clock were ticking at different speeds in different parts of the body."

They assume it’s likely a result of what they call “interbreeding” between modern humans and Homo erectus, and it complicates the evolutionary picture yet again.

Q: So how do we understand this fossil analysis in light of Biblical history?

Well, there aren’t multiple species of humans—there’s one: humans.

A: Every person is made in God’s image and descended from Adam, who was created just 6,000 years ago. Homo erectus, Homo neanderthalensis, Denisovans, and any other human “species” just represent variety within the human kind. These were all peoples who split off from Babel and became isolated (for a time) due to geography, the language barrier, and other factors. Specific genetic variants become common within individual groups, including minor variations in skeletal anatomy and dental features.

Yes, God created each kind, including the human kind, with a tremendous amount of genetic variability. Some of that variability has since died out, but we still see genetic variation within humans today. Still, all humans—including “archaic” ones—are one race: the human race.

This new study has nothing to do with evolution and everything to do with created genetic variety."
