A: Thomas Aquinas....Aquinas argued that God's Plan, such as in Eden, everyone owned/shared everything. Therefore, he deduced, the notion of "private property" is a human construct.
Hence their support for Socialistic politics, Liberation Theology, Welfare States, Social Gospel, etc.
They believe that the Church, as God's representative body on earth, can of course own as much property as it wishes. But you really shouldn't.
*Of course one has to IGNORE Scripture to hold that view (Thou shalt not steal. Ex. 20:15) for if one is commanded by the finger of God, written into stone, not to steal, then one would logically deduce that God is a respecter of a man's "private property".
Same for not coveting, (Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's. Ex. 20:17) for if all owns/shares all property, God would not deem coveting a sin.
FASCISM: You can own property but the state will determine how it will be used for the nation's interest.
CAPITALISM: You own the property and you determine its use.
