Relating to God's Government

1. Treason is the highest crime

He who commits murder takes a life, but he who seeks to subvert the law, seeks the destruction of life’s safeguard, of that which is to protect life by preventing and punishing crime. 

Hence, it is the aggregation of all crimes. 

2. The Government has the sole right to free therefrom

By this is meant that the Government has the sole right to dictate the terms or conditions by which rebels may be restored to citizenship. This is true, also, in regard to all crimes for which pardon is desired. And this right, Government ought to exercise. No criminal has any right to dictate the terms of his own pardon, or the means by which he may be restored to the favor of the Government. 

3. He who will not accept the conditions is a traitor still

If the Government has the sole right to dictate terms to rebels, which all must allow, then the transgressor can only change his relation to the Government by accepting those terms; and if he refuses to accept them, he, of course, persists in maintaining his position in rebellion.

Therefore two things must be required of a transgressor or rebel, which only can be accepted, to wit: 

(1) UNQUALIFIED SUBMISSION TO THE LAWS WHICH HAVE BEEN TRANSGRESSED, and, 

(2) A HEARTY ACCEPTANCE OF THE PLAN OR CONDITIONS OFFERED FOR HIS RESTORATION."

Bringing out a six-pack of Budweiser and pouring the contents of a beer into a mug, he taught through both sides of the issue while congregants sat transfixed, wondering whether or not he would take a swig from the stage.
Young ultimately concluded that while it would be a sin to get drunk or drink to excess, giving multiple reasons why it’s unwise and not a good idea, “the Bible does give us liberty—freedom—regarding consuming beverage alcohol.”

Earlier this year, Roman Catholics at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Morris, IN, were in awe after some of their communion wafers began to “bleed.”
Because Catholics believe the consecrated bread is the literal, actual physical body of Jesus, it was supposed that this might be a Eucharistic miracle, prompting the Archdiocese of Indianapolis to send out the wafers to a lab for a formal inspection.
The results were not so miraculous; however, after a biochemical analysis revealed only “fungus and three different species of bacteria, all of which are commonly found on human hands,” according to a statement from the Archdiocese earlier this week."

Creation Moment 3/27/2025 - Only Response to Irreducible Complexity of Protein Formation

This is the only rational response a person can make after they are presented with irreducible complexity.

"To get a protein we need DNA first. But, to even have DNA we need many different DNA repair systems.

Besides DNA repair, we also need a way to copy DNA. Without the faithful passing on of uncorrupted information from one generation to the next, life would be impossible. 

Dozens of proteins and RNAs are required to duplicate DNA. These include helicases that open the strands, topoisomerases that keep the strands from getting kinked, and single-strand binding proteins that help to hold the strands open. 

Meanwhile, two different DNA polymerases are used (one for each strand). On one strand, DNA copying is simple and direct. On the other strand, however, it is performed in short segments (Okazaki fragments) that must be joined with DNA ligase after DNA primase adds a short RNA primer to the strand. Confused yet? The point here is to show how many complex systems must already be in place before we can start making our desired protein.

The next step in our chain of spaghettification deals with cell signalling and the control of information flow. I don’t know how it knows what it needs, but let’s say the cell decides it needs more ATP synthase motors. The genes for the necessary proteins are buried somewhere in the genome, but the genome is a giant, four-dimensional ball of thin, sticky, fragile strings. Somewhere in that ball of string is our target gene. If it is not currently active, it might be tucked away and so must be found. It also might be deactivated and so must be turned on. The DNA must also be unwound at that specific location.

There are many different aspects of DNA storage within the cell. First, DNA is wrapped around histone proteins. These histones have a long tail that can be chemically modified. Thus, the cell can ‘tag’ DNA in different ways. The DNA itself can also be tagged. For example, by adding methyl groups to it, a strand of DNA is effectively turned off.

What I am describing is something called epigenetics. This is the information layer that is added to DNA and the associated histones that tells the cell which areas of the genome are active, etc. Guess what? Epigenetic processes require many additional proteins that must all be maintained in the DNA and that must all be manufactured. Without epigenetics, the cell can’t regulate the genome and so it will never be able to manufacture the desired protein, but epigenetics burns even more ATP.

Now that all those systems are in place, the cell is finally ready to start making the protein! First, the cell will make a copy of the protein-coding gene in a process called transcription. 

The copy will be in the form of RNA, not DNA. They use a slightly different sugar (ribose vs. deoxyribose). This makes RNA 100× less stable than DNA, which is really saying something! But the main difference between these two molecules is that RNA has uracil (U) instead of thymine (T). For transcription to occur, the DNA must be unwound and the histones must be removed. Similar to DNA replication, a flurry of accessory proteins are involved.
Not only does the creation of all these proteins use up a lot of ATP, but the ‘letters’ in DNA and RNA are also dependent on ATP. For example, ATP is adenosine triphosphate. This is also the source for the A (adenine) in DNA and RNA. The other letters (G, C, T, and U) are manufactured from CTP, GTP, TTP, and UTP, respectively. The biochemical pathways are complex, and each step in the manufacturing chain is driven by proteins (which require ATP to be produced, of course), but the creation of CTP, GTP, TTP, and UTP require the burning of even more ATP.

The intron-exon break points generally contain 12–19 short ‘motifs’ that tell the cell where to cut and how to join the exons together.
Exons can be alternately joined to create many different proteins from a single ‘gene’. This allows the cells to produce several hundred thousand unique proteins from less than 20,000 genes. Thus, our ATP synthase protein might be an alternative product, one protein among a family of similar proteins that are all coded by the same gene. This

splicing and dicing requires more proteins and burns up even more ATP, but now we have an RNA that can be used to manufacture our protein.

The manufacturing of a raw protein is nothing short of an engineering miracle. The cell starts with a complex machine called a ribosome. This is composed of multiple proteins and RNAs, each of which must be coded in the DNA, manufactured with ATP-dependent processes … you get the drill.

The mRNA is fed into the ribosome from one end. The mRNA will be translated into protein three letters at a time. Each set of three letters is called a ‘codon’. There are 64 possible codons and 21 amino acids, so some amino acids are ‘coded’ by more than one codon. Three of the codons are used as ‘stop’ signals, but one of them can also code for the amino acid selenocysteine.
A series of adaptor molecules called transfer RNAs (tRNA) enter the ribosome. At the base of each tRNA is a three-letter ‘anti-codon’ that matches a codon. At the top of each tRNA is an amino acid that is
removed from the tRNA and added to the growing protein strand. Each tRNA is ‘charged’ with its amino acid by a specific protein in the aminoacyl transferase family. There are elaborate mechanisms to make sure the right amino acid is charged, not the wrong one, even if chemically similar. Not only do these proteins require ATP in their manufacture, but the charging step and the protein elongation step

also burn ATP.

Most proteins, if left to themselves, will fold up into a useless knot of random coils. Thus, they need help folding. After the strand leaves the ribosome, helper proteins called chaperones clamp onto the unfolded strand. The protein is then escorted to, and inserted into, a huge multi-protein molecule called a chaperonin. We’re not exactly certain what happens inside, but the chaperonin will fold the protein into its near-finished state and spit it out the other end. More proteins. More activity. More ATP burned.

The final stage in the manufacturing process is delivery. Proteins must be actively transported to the site where they are needed. To do that, the cell uses a kinesin protein. There are many different kinesin types, but the main one we need to know about is a slender molecule with two legs. Those legs literally walk along a microtubule (made of proteins that require ATP in their manufacturing, transport, and assembly). Each step requires one ATP. The package to be delivered is stored on the top end of the kinesin and various signals and modifications to it effectively serve as a postal address."

Creation Moment 3/26/2025 - Reactivating the "Kill Switch"

In this Fallen World, apparently a "kill Switch" flipped off in our ancestors immune system at some point (likely when the population was small). 

Q: Now, can the minds that God gave humans figure out how to turn it back on?

"Alternative RNA splicing functions like a film editor rearranging scenes from the same footage to create different versions of a movie. By selecting which segments to retain or discard, the editor can shape the final product into a drama, comedy, or thriller, all using the same raw material.
Similarly, cells modify RNA splicing to generate different proteins from a single gene, allowing them to adapt and regulate function as needed. However, when cancer disrupts this process, it can drive tumor growth and survival by altering normal splicing patterns.

A recent study published in Nature Communications by researchers from The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) and UConn Health reveals how

cancer hijacks this precise RNA splicing mechanism. 

More importantly, the study introduces a potential therapeutic approach that could slow or even shrink aggressive, treatment-resistant tumors. This breakthrough has the potential to revolutionize treatment strategies for challenging cancers, such as triple-negative breast cancer and certain brain tumors, where effective therapies remain scarce.

Olga Anczuków, an associate professor at JAX and co-program leader at the NCI-designated JAX Cancer Center, are tiny genetic elements called poison exons, nature’s own “off switch” for protein production. 

When these exons are included in an RNA message, they trigger its destruction before a protein can be made—preventing harmful cellular activity. In healthy cells, poison exons regulate the levels of key proteins, keeping the genetic machinery in check. But in cancer, this safety mechanism often fails.

Furthermore, the team found a correlation between levels of poison exons and patient outcomes. “We’ve shown for the first time that low levels of poison exon inclusion in the TRA2β gene are associated with poor outcomes in many different cancer types, and especially in aggressive and difficult-to-treat cancers,” said Anczuków. These include breast cancer, brain tumors, ovarian cancers, skin cancers, leukemias, and colorectal cancers, Anczuków explained.

Anczuków, Leclair, and Brugiolo then went on to see if they could increase the inclusion of the poison exon in the TRA2β gene and reactivate the kill switch. 

---They found their answer in antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs)—synthetic RNA fragments that can be designed to increase poison exon inclusion in specific ways. When introduced into cancer cells, ASOs effectively flipped the genetic switch, restoring the body’s natural ability to degrade excess TRA2β RNA and inhibit tumor progression.
“We found that ASOs can rapidly boost poison exon inclusion, essentially tricking the cancer cell into turning off its own growth signals,” said Leclair. “These poison exons work like a rheostat, quickly adjusting protein levels—and that could make ASOs a highly precise and effective therapy for aggressive cancers.”

"Scientists have made a groundbreaking discovery in quantum materials, revealing that electron energy levels in certain systems follow a fractal pattern known as Hofstadter’s butterfly.

A team of scientists at Princeton University has successfully

measured the energy levels of electrons in a new type of quantum material and discovered that they follow a fractal pattern, a repeating structure that looks the same at different scales. Fractals are commonly found in nature, in things like snowflakes, ferns, and coastlines. In the quantum world, a similar pattern called Hofstadter’s butterfly was theorized back in 1976. Now, for the first time, researchers have directly observed this pattern in a real material.

Hofstadter’s butterfly represents the principal finding of a seminal 1976 paper by Douglas Hofstadter. In this work, he predicted that the energy levels of electrons confined within two-dimensional crystals under the influence of a strong magnetic field would display a characteristic fractal energy spectrum. The “butterfly” moniker is used because the emerging pattern, when plotted against energy and magnetic field, evinces an elegant and intricate configuration that resembles a butterfly’s wings.

Importantly, this butterfly pattern is a fractal, meaning it is a self-repeating pattern that is produced over different scales, again and again. While there are many examples of fractals in nature—such as coastlines and snowflakes—few are found in the quantum realm.

“The Hofstadter regime is a rich and vibrant spectrum of topological states, and I think being able to image these states could be a very powerful way to understand their quantum properties,” said Michael Scheer, a graduate student in physics at Princeton and one of the paper’s co-lead authors."

practices of paganism increased to such a degree that the beauty and simplicity of Christian worship were almost entirely obscured; and, by the time these were ripe for the establishment of the popedom, Christianity of the State, to judge from the institutions of its public worship, seemed but little else than a system of Christianized paganism. The copious transfusion of heathen ceremonies into Christian worship, which had taken place before the end of the fourth century, had to a certain extent paganized the outward form and aspect of religion."

Speaking of the religion of popery DR. Middleton says:

"All whose ceremonies appear plainly to have been copied from the rituals of primitive paganism, as handed down by an uninterrupted succession from the priests of old Rome, to the priests of the new Rome."

Fauchbt, in his Antiquities of Gaul, says:

"The bishops of that kingdom employed every means to gain men to Christ, availing themselves of their ceremonies, as well as of the stones of their temples to build their churches."

Gavazzi says:

"When Christianity was imposed by Constantine on his pagan subjects, paganism introduced itself into the church of Christ. Before, the choice of religion was free; but, after he had made some laws, especially one denying service in his army, save to Christians, the profession of Christianity became almost an obligation. Commands, magistracies, were obtainable only through the portals of this new faith; it was embraced by multitudes, but with what fervor or what motive? A mercenary motive and a worse than languid fervor. . . . A pagan flood flowing into the church carried with it its customs, practices, and idols. . . . The greater part of Constantine’s pagan subjects, while in appearance Christians, remained in substance pagans; especially worshiping in secret their idols. But the church did not prevent the sin. . . . The church was then too weak to resist the abuses brought in by the inundation of paganism; further, it was no longer the upright and severe church of Christ; becoming vain of having many millions of adherents, it did not closely examine their faith."

Creation Moment 3/24/2025 - Tiniest BrainTells Us......

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 

1 Corinthians 3:19

"The tiniest known brain, that of the worm C. elegans, is not simple. These facts he sets out raise some very interesting questions.

The worm’s apparent simplicity makes it a favorite lab animal — for example, it was the first animal whose brain was mapped. Researchers have learned that, with less than 400 neurons, it can handle both associative and non-associative learning.
The human body has roughly 30 trillion cells and the human brain only 86 billion.
Perhaps the worm’s brain has roughly the minimum number of neurons any brain must have for simple bodily functions and learning — irrespective of the size of the rest of the body. Equipped with those 400 neurons, the worm can feed, fast, mate, lay eggs, swim in liquids and crawl on solids. In fact, the worms’ “social lives” can become, well, quite complex.

When even simple life forms are complex, the origin of life question arises: 

Q: Were there ever life forms that were so simple that they could merely self-assemble, as the official doctrine of the origin of life proposes?

Cassell offers several observations that touch on this question:
"… even though the brain is tiny, it does not have a simple structure.

One might expect the smallest known brain to have a structure that is either relatively uniform or random. An example of a uniform structure is that found in crystals, which form a symmetrical lattice. A random structure would be expected if the positions of the neurons were not specified, but rather develop through a random process. Contrary to being either uniform or random, the brain does have a complex structure that is specified and repeatable. “Tiniest brain”

Yes, that’s the problem of specified complexity: 

In a world where nature, left to itself, produces either uniform order or chaos, we find a level of information-rich order that requires an underlying intelligence. 

And in this case, that information-rich order is alive."

MATTHEW HENRY says:

"He must seal the book, because it would not be understood, and therefore would not be regarded till the things contained in it were accomplished; but he must keep it safe as a treasure of great value laid up for the ages to come, to whom it would be of great service; for “many shall run to and fro,”.... Truth is the daughter of time. . . . Those things of God which are despised and neglected and thrown aside as useless shall be brought into reputation."

The learned author, THOMAS WILLIAMS, says:

“Many shall run to and fro,” hither and thither, like couriers in the time of war, “and knowledge shall be increased:” knowledge of the most important kind, the knowledge of God’s salvation. Then those who are wise themselves shall endeavor to enlighten others."

DR. Gill says:

"Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased; that is, toward the end of the time appointed, many shall be stirred up to inquire into these things delivered in this book, and will spare no

pains or cost to get a knowledge of them; will read and study the Scriptures, and meditate on them; compare one passage with another, spiritual things with spiritual, in order to obtain the mind of Christ; will carefully peruse the writings of such, who have lived before them, who have attempted anything of this kind; and will go far and near to converse with persons that have any understanding of such things; and by such means, with the blessing of God upon them, the knowledge of this book of prophecy will be increased, and things will appear plainer and clearer, the nearer the accomplishment of them is; and especially when prophecy and facts can be compared."

SIR ISAAC NEWTON says:

"It is a part of this prophecy that it should not be understood be fore the last age of the world; and therefore it makes for the credit of the prophecy that it is not yet understood. . . . But, in the very end, the prophecy shall be so far interpreted as to convince many, “for then,” says Daniel, “Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased.” Among the interpreters of the last age, there is scarce one of note who has not made some discovery worth knowing; whence I seem to gather that God is about opening these mysteries."
