"House Democrats voted against an amendment on Wednesday, which would have stopped the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from demanding credit bureaus evaluate Americans’ credit scores based on religion, politics and other aspects.

The failed amendment would have prevented the CFPB from forcing private credit score companies to “make use of information related to political opinions, religious expression, or other expression protected by the First Amendment, whether obtained from a social media account of a consumer or other sources.”
The CFPB, established by Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) during the Obama administration, would have the legal authority to force credit agencies to assign numbered scores to citizens directly reflecting the information gathered.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said if the Senate passes the bill without the proposed amendment, the CFPB would be granted “unchecked authority on credit score modeling, without any built-in measure to stop potential abuse of power or violation of our Constitutional rights.”
The system would resemble Communist China’s “social credit system,” which bans citizens from traveling or living in certain areas if they do anything the state disapproves of.
It’s imperative for this information to be shared across the internet and for Americans to call their Senators and let them know We The People do not approve of a Chinese-style credit system."

"When Mr. Fernández, who was sworn in as president in December, meets the pope at the Vatican on Friday, they are expected to discuss a recurrent problem: how to save Argentina from another debt default.

The president hopes to kick off his relationship with the Pope with the right foot, even despite his pledge to push for the legalization of abortion. In his first six weeks in office, Mr. Fernández has used the term “solidarity” to define his government’s incipient economic program. This concept, one of the pillars of the Roman Catholic Church’s Social Doctrine, is highlighted by the pope in pastoral speeches and Vatican documents, including those that talk about economics.

For Mr. Fernández, so far, solidarity has meant asking wealthy Argentines to pay more taxes, in part to finance an emergency food program to alleviate extreme poverty.

In March he will host young economists and activists in Assisi, Italy, at an event called “The Economy of Francesco,” named for the 12th-century St. Francis but also, indirectly, for himself. The Assisi event coincides with the March 31 deadline Mr. Fernández has imposed on himself to complete the country’s thorny negotiations with its creditors.

In their quest, the pope and Mr. Fernández share a link in academia: Joseph Stiglitz, the Columbia economist and Nobel laureate who has for years theorized about how to improve sovereign debt negotiation. Last May, Mr. Stiglitz and the pope discussed ways to “create new economic thinking” for a “social economy.”

A young research assistant for Mr. Stiglitz, an Argentine named Martín Guzmán, also attended that meeting. In 2016, Mr. Stiglitz and Mr. Guzmán were among the authors of a book called “Too Little, Too Late,” which proposed a new framework for sovereign

debt restructuring. Mr. Guzmán is now Mr. Fernández’s economy minister and has the difficult task of selling solidarity to the country’s bondholders and the I.M.F."

Papal Notes - Francis' Clown Show- Literally

"On January 8, 2020, Pope Francis allowed a very immoral clown performance by the “Aqua Circus” in his General Audience in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican.

Rome is embracing and promoting paganism, vulgarity, and sensuality and merging these elements with Christianity.
They are not trying hide anything in their freak show.
The question is why would Christians combine two separate, opposing cultures into one?
The gospel of Christ doesn’t attempt to do this at all. A new gospel is created and a new emerging culture begins. This results in the creation of a mutant gospel that’s been morphed with the elements of a licentious clown show.

Creation Moment 1/29/2020 - Flawed "Impact Theory"

"This view, currently the most popular among evolutionists, holds that a hypothetical planet (called Theia) collided with the earth and the resulting debris formed the moon.

This is said to explain the differences between Earth rocks and moon rocks.
The high temperatures generated by the collision would have boiled away volatile elements such as potassium and sodium, but more heat-resistant materials such as aluminium, calcium and thorium would have remained and condensed to form the moon’s crust.
Here, however, it is the similarities between rocks that cannot be explained.
With the impact theory, part of the moon would have formed from the earth and part from the impacting planet.
So the chemistry of moon rocks would be expected to be different to that of Earth rocks. While it is true that the moon is deficient in some Earth elements, those that are shared can have very similar properties.
Elements come in different forms, known as ‘isotopes’ and different rocks contain isotopes in different amounts, giving each an ‘isotope signature’.
Remarkably, the isotope ratios of oxygen, iron, hydrogen, silica, magnesium, titanium, potassium, tungsten and chromium are almost identical in moon and Earth rocks.
At the same time, they are different from other solar system bodies. This is such a problem for the impact theory that, according to some researchers, it is now in crisis. 
These near-identical isotope signatures are also a problem for the ‘capture theory’.
Another headache for the impact theory is the growing evidence of significant amounts of water in the moon’s interior. It would be expected that the heat from the impact would have caused this to evaporate."

What Saul (Paul) saw when he saw Christ

Creation Moment 1/27/2020 - Failure of the Capture Theory

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.

"Some have argued that the moon must have formed elsewhere and, as it flew through the galaxy, it just happened to pass close enough to the earth to be captured by its gravity.

If this were so, then we would expect the moon to follow an elongated orbit around the earth, similar to that of Halley’s comet around the sun.

The moon’s orbit, however, is essentially circular; hence the ‘capture theory’ fails."

The Smitten Rock & Flowing Water

"God is no respecter of persons, and although He had highly honored Moses, yet He punished him for his sin. When Moses smote the rock the second time, he ignored the great event of which the smitten rock was a type.

Christ died once for the sins of the world, (Heb. 9:28) and all who speak to Him,

--confessing their sins

--and claiming pardon,

will receive the healing waters of salvation.
Thus not only did Moses disobey God, but he marred the beautiful symbol which had been placed before the Israelites during all their desert wanderings.

The Bible writers often refer to the experiences connected with the smitten rock, to teach God's tender care for His people.  Isaiah says, "A man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land."(Is. 32:2)

 Paul tells us that this Man who was as "a hiding-place," "a covert," and as "rivers of water," was Christ, the Rock. (1 Cor. 10:4) He is the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. What He was to the Israelites, He will be to every one who puts his trust in Him. He says to-day, "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink." (John 7:37) The one who heeds the call will "drink of the brook in the way:therefore shall he lift up the head." (Ps. 110:7) The refreshing water flows by every encampment.

burgeoning sexual abuse crisis.

Attorneys for about two dozen men suing the church say in court filings that the 276 documents they obtained through discovery show that the NFL team, whose owner is devoutly Catholic, aided the Archdiocese of New Orleans in its “pattern and practice of concealing its crimes.”

“Obviously, the Saints should not be in the business of assisting the Archdiocese, and the Saints’ public relations team is not in the business of managing the public relations of criminals engaged in pedophilia,” the attorneys wrote in a court filing. “The Saints realize that if the documents at issue are made public, this

professional sports organization also will be smearing itself.”

Saints attorneys, in court papers, disputed any suggestion that the team helped the church cover up crimes, calling such claims “outrageous.” They further said that the emails, exchanged in 2018 and 2019, were intended to be private and should not be “fodder for the public.” The archdiocese is also fighting the release of the emails."

Observations on the Judgment with James White

Throughout the ages of eternity God’s justice and mercy, as manifested in His dealings with Satan and sinners, must stand vindicated, hence the final judgment will be very real, and its scenes hosts of heavenly angels and the redeemed of earth will participate.

And Paul, in his powerful argument before Felix, “reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgement to come” (Acts 24:25).
Hence in the days of Paul the judgment had not taken place, nor was it then in session."

On what authority do the Multitude change the Sabbath?

"The Ante-Nicene fathers are those Christian writers who

flourished after the time of the apostles, and before the Council of Nice, A.D. 325.

---Those who govern their lives by the volume of Inspiration do not recognize any authority in these fathers to change any precept of that book, nor any authority in them to add any new precepts to it.
---But those whose rule of life is the Bible as modified by tradition, regard the early fathers of the church as nearly or quite equal in

authority with the inspired writers. 
They declare that the fathers conversed with the apostles; or if they did not do this, they conversed with some who had seen some of the apostles; or at least they lived within a few generations of the apostles, and so learned by tradition, which involved only a few transitions from father to son, what was the true doctrine of the apostles.

*** On such authority as this the multitude dare to change the Sabbath of the fourth commandment. But next to the deception under which men fall when they are made to believe that the Bible may be corrected by the fathers, is the deception practiced upon them as to what the fathers actually teach.

The people who trust in the fathers as their authority for departing from God's commandment are miserably deceived as to what the fathers teach.

1. The fathers are so far from testifying that the apostles told them Christ changed the Sabbath, that not even one of them ever alludes to the idea of such a change.
2. No one of them ever calls the first day the Christian Sabbath, nor indeed ever calls it a Sabbath of any kind.
3. They never represent it as a day on which ordinary labor was sinful; nor do they represent the observance of Sunday as a act of obedience to the fourth commandment.
4. The modern doctrine of the change of the Sabbath was therefore absolutely unknown in the first centuries of the Christian church.

But though no statement asserting the change of the Sabbath can be produced from the writings of the fathers of the first three hundred years, it is claimed that their testimony furnishes decisive proof that the first day of the week is the Lord's day of Rev.1:10.

 Yet the first day is seven times mentioned by the sacred writers before John's vision upon Patmos on the Lord's day, and is twice mentioned by John in his gospel which he wrote after his return from that island, and is mentioned some sixteen times by ecclesiastical writers of the second century prior to A.D. 194, and never in a single instance is it called the Lord's day! 

We give all the instances of its mention in the Bible.
Here are all the instances in which the inspired writers mention the day:

Moses,  "The evening and the morning were the first day." Gen.1:5.

Matthew,  "In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week." Matt.28:1.
Paul,  "Upon the first day of the week." 1Cor.16:2.
Luke, "Now upon the first day of the week." Luke 24:1.
Luke,  "And upon the first day of the week." Acts 20:7.
Mark,  "And very early in the morning, the first day of the week." Mark 16:2.

"Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week." Verse 9.

After the resurrection of Christ, and before John's vision, A.D. 96, the day is six times mentioned by inspired men, and every time as plain first day of the week.

*John says, "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day." Rev.1:10. 
 Now it is evident that this must be a day which the Lord had set apart for himself, and which he claimed as his. This was all true in the case of the seventh day, but was not in any respect true in that of the first day. 
He could not therefore call the first day by this name, for it was not such. But if the Spirit of God designed at this point to create a new institution and to call a certain day the Lord's day which before had never been claimed by him as such, it was necessary that he should specify that new day. 
He did not define the term, which proves that he was not giving a sacred name to some new institution, but was speaking of a well-known, divinely appointed day."

PSALM 89: Theology of the Reality

Psalm 89:

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,

and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

"Like Psalm 73, which opens the third book of the psalms, this psalm also struggles with a universal problem among believers. Whereas Psalm 73 dealt with the prosperity of the wicked, Psalm 89 wrestles with the faithfulness of God to His promises.

The psalm describes the author’s attempt to reconcile the seeming contradictions between his theology and the reality of his nation’s conditions. 

I.          God’s Manifest Faithfulness to the Davidic Covenant (89:1-37).

A.  God’s Covenant Love (89:1-4);

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. vs.3

B.   God’s Praiseworthiness (89:5-18);

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. vs.5

C.   God’s Covenant with David (89:19-37).

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. vs.36

II.         God’s Apparent Neglect of the Davidic Covenant (89:38-52).

A.  The Psalmist’s Lament (89:38-45);

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground. vs.39

B.   The Psalmist’s Consternation (89:46-51);

Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain? vs.47

C.   The Doxology (89:52).

Blessed be the LORD for evermore. vs.52

environmental advocacy, as a “great witness” of Church teaching on care for creation and the human person.
Born in Sweden in 2003, Thunberg exploded onto the global scene in August 2018 for initiating the “school strike for climate” movement, with her protest outside of the Swedish parliament in Stockholm gaining widespread media attention.
She pointed her finger at business and political leaders for using what she called “clever accounting and creative PR” instead of rallying to combat climate change, saying, “We indeed have some work to do but some more than others.”

Colonial, racist, and patriarchal systems of oppression have created and fueled it. We need to dismantle them all. Our political leaders can no longer shirk their responsibilities.”

Massive protests are being planned by this movement to increase pressure on lawmakers to ACT NOW to cut carbon emissions. 
We see Sunday lurking in the shadows of this movement. 
There is already talk of Sunday being enforced as a “low carbon day” to lessen business operations, greenhouse gasses, and thus global warming, which will supposedly help decrease weather-related disasters worldwide."
