"A photograph of a man kneeling on the neck of a white baby while another person holds the diapered child’s arms is stirring up a massive amount of rage on social media.

The shocking and disturbing photograph, which was captioned by the abusers as “Blm now mf”.

The paternal grandmother of the child wrote on Facebook that the photo was taken two days ago while the two-year-old was with his mother, who is dating Jackson. She told TGP that her son did not find out about it until yesterday morning.

The grandmother provided us with screenshots of conversations in which the mother attempted to defend the photo when confronted about it, calling the person “ignorant” and claiming that “he wasn’t hurting him.” She also claimed she was not present when the photo was taken.

Child Protective Services is involved and the mother will only be allowed to see the child while the father is present for now. She is not allowed to be alone with him, the grandmother said.

She said that the mother is not normally like this and that she suspects it is because of the people she has been hanging out with.
“When I saw the person holding his arms back it made me so much more upset,” she said. “The fact that he was crying, it makes my stomach hurt. He didn’t have anyone there to protect him or stop it.”

Arttu Sainio independently discovered the first brown dwarf, WISEA 1810–1010...Four citizen scientists, Paul Beaulieu, Sam Goodman, William Pendrill, and Austin Rothermich, independently discovered the second object, WISEA 0414–5854.
Additional observations at other wavelengths confirmed these sources were brown dwarfs, but strange ones. “Indeed, the spectra of these objects look pretty weird (to brown dwarf astronomers),” notes study coauthor Adam Burgasser.
The best explanation is that these brown dwarfs lack heavy elements.
Technically, that marks them as “extreme subdwarfs of the T class".

In the first of these three messages, however, there is, connected with the proclamation of the gospel, a new reason assigned why men should yield obedience to the Lord.
It is found in these words: "For the hour of His judgment is come." (Rev. 14:7)
This first angel's message does not say the judgment is coming, but "the hour [period] of His judgment is come."

"The podcast episode is raw and heartbreaking. Jen Hatmaker, a

popular author and speaker, invited her daughter Sydney to discuss her homosexuality and spirituality. The open discussion was part of a special “A Moment of Pride” series on Hatmaker’s “For the Love” podcast.
“This is like a known fact in our family, and has been,” Hatmaker prefaced the podcast.
Sydney speaks of recognizing she was lesbian around 12 years old (12 years old!), having pretend crushes on boys, and finally understanding her sexuality thanks to “representation of gay people just in movies and stuff.”

She admits to struggling with confusion and, quite sadly, doing her

own comprehensive Bible study to understand varying perspectives.

Sydney explained, “I just remember trying to Google it, and one of the first resources that I found was just this person talking about various Christian perspectives on same-sex marriage. And they were kind of providing some different leaders who had said different things on it.”
The article mentioned those who were “loving, but unaffirming” and then linked to an article written by Jen Hatmaker at the time. Sydney said, after that moment, “I didn’t touch a Bible for years.”

Towards the end of the podcast, Hatmaker says that among her greatest regrets is not reconciling homosexuality and Christianity sooner. In her own words:

“So, it will just always be my greatest sadness that Dad and I

did not do our own work early enough so that you felt safe and beloved in your own family—or that we didn’t do our work in front of you even, that that was not something that we were talking about. He and I were, but we weren’t talking deeply about what we were learning and processing in front of you, and thus left you alone, and vulnerable, and scared. And I am so sorry. And I’m so sad. And if I could go back, I would change it. I would shake myself to life before you were even born, shake some sense into me. Like, ‘Look at this, look at what this is causing. Just look around, use your eyes, use your ears, use your brain, and use your heart.'”
“I would not change one molecule of you, not one. I’m so glad you’re gay, I’m so proud that you are free. I love that this is how you were made. I’m thrilled about your future,” Hatmaker concluded.

"Andrews seminary student and Mdiv recipient Paul-Anthony Turner, who also attended Southern Adventist University, recently shared on his Facebook page a letter from the Middletown SDA in Louisville, KY.

According to the letter, the Middletown Church elders and Pastor informed Paul that because of his theological views (Turner claims to be gay/homosexual), he would not be given church leadership roles.

Indignant, Turner made this letter public on Friday, posting it on his Facebook page.  He also invited readers to repost and/or share “anything  I‘ve discussed.”

What are some of the public views that Turner (who claims to be celibate) espouses regarding human sexuality?  Here is a sample:

Early descriptions characterize Dilophosaurus wetherilli as having a fragile crest and weak jaws, a description that influenced the dinosaur’s depiction in the Jurassic Park book and movie as a svelte dinosaur that subdued its prey with venom.
But the study authors found the opposite. The jawbones show signs of serving as scaffolding for powerful muscles. They also found that some bones were mottled with air pockets, which would have helped reinforce the skeleton, including its dual crest.

As a new documentary Spaceship Earth tells their story, we meet the ‘biospherians’.

Biosphere 2’s origins lie in late-1960s San Francisco, and a man named John P Allen. Already in his 40s by then, Allen was something of a renaissance man: a Harvard graduate, a metallurgist, a union organiser, a beat poet, and a traveller studying indigenous cultures. He founded an idealistic performance group called the Theatre of All Possibilities. As the name suggests, they wanted to change the world but weren’t sure where to start. Art? Business? Ecology? Technology? In classic counterculture fashion, they decided: “Let’s do all of it!”

They turned their desert ranch into a self-sufficient homestead, planting trees and raising buildings, including a Buckminster Fuller geodesic dome.

In 1975, they even decided to build a ship. Their chief designer was a 19-year-old student with no experience of boatbuilding, but it proved perfectly seaworthy. They sailed around the world for several years, researching the Earth’s ecosystems.
Having learned how these worked, they were ready to build their own. If humankind was going to settle other planets, they reasoned, it would need to learn how to replicate Earth.

The Biosphere 2 launch was staged like a space mission. The media descended on the $150m Arizona facility, all gleaming white panels and ziggurats of glass, filled with forests, deserts, laboratories, recycling systems, pigs, chickens, hummingbirds, bush babies, and even a coral reef. There were speeches and fireworks as the jumpsuited volunteers sealed themselves in for the two-year journey into the unknown.

After a stable start, problems began to emerge. Food, for one. “We really could have used more calories,” says Linda Leigh, another biospherian.
Leigh had been involved with stocking Biosphere 2 with wild plants, but many of the food crops were too slow or too labor-intensive to be worthwhile. The wild coffee bushes took a fortnight to produce enough for one cup.
Rather than luxuriating in a Garden of Eden, the biospherians became more like subsistence farmers. There was a lot of beetroot and sweet potato. “It was a challenge to make exciting meals,” says Leigh. Everyone lost a lot of weight.

On top of that, oxygen levels decreased faster than anticipated, with

a corresponding build-up of carbon dioxide. Earth’s atmosphere is about 21% oxygen, but inside the biosphere it fell to 14.2 %. “It felt like mountain-climbing,” Nelson recalls. “Some of the crew started getting sleep apnoea. I noticed I couldn’t finish a long sentence without stopping and taking a breath of air. We worked in a kind of slow-motion dance, with no energy wasted. If the oxygen levels had dropped any lower, there could have been serious health issues.”

Understandably, morale deteriorated. Living under biosphere conditions was a challenge at the best of times. If the coronavirus lockdown feels restrictive, imagine spending two years with the same seven people and no internet. Nelson likens it to “a marathon group therapy session”. Added to which, true to their theatrical origins, the biospherians were on permanent display. Coachloads of tourists and schoolchildren arrived daily to tap on the glass and take pictures of the emaciated crew. Leigh remembers anthropologist Jane Goodall coming to visit. “She observed us like we were captive primates.”

Biosphere 2’s difficulties had not gone unnoticed, though Allen and the team had tried to conceal them. Eventually extra food was smuggled in and two oxygen pop-ups followed."

BLM supporters flooded a Facebook page belonging to Jessica Doty Whitaker, the young mother who was shot dead for saying “all lives matter,” to celebrate her death.

Whitaker was killed after she encountered a group of Black Lives Matter supporters while walking along a canal in Indianapolis after a Fourth of July celebration with her fiance and two friends.
During the confrontation, Whitaker said “all lives matter,” prompting the BLM supporters to draw weapons.

Although it initially appeared that the confrontation had been de-escalated, the murderers subsequently shot Whitaker several times before fleeing the scene.
The incident received scant media attention.
Now Black Lives Matter supporters have flooded Whitaker’s Facebook page to justify and celebrate her brutal killing."

Creation Moment 7/19/2020 - Dr. Eugenie Scott's personal war on Genesis 1

"Kaden had an interview with a leading American anti-creationist, Dr. Eugenie Scott.

In the interview transcript, she describes what introduced her to the controversy.
When a student in her lab class questioned the evidence for evolution, her response was that the animals spread out on the dissecting table showed comparative anatomy, which proved evolution: “[W]hat  could possibly be the explanation for all the similarity between fish and amphibia and mammals other than evolution… I was sort of surprised that anybody would reject evolution.”

Soon after Eugenie Scott encountered a Darwin doubter, she was

confronted with others living in her state of Kentucky who also did not accept evolution. Her reaction was “this is terrible.”  

A short time later she was invited by a rabbi and some Presbyterian ministers and Catholic Priests to make a presentation to the Lexington Alliance of Religious Leaders (LARL) on what creation science actually was; to her, it was ignorant biblical literalism. They concluded, if “biblical literalism was taught Monday through Friday they [the clergy] had to straighten out the kids on Sunday [teach evolution as fact].”

Eugenie Scott founded the organization today known as The National Center for Science Education (NCSE). The organization was first located in her basement, then, as the money poured in from others who also agreed with her that creationism was

dangerous and must be stopped, it moved to a large office in Berkeley, California.

Its goal was to, by any means necessary, including judicial decree (i.e., by court action), prevent the propagation of these ideas to the public—especially in government schools.

This background of the founding of the misnamed “National Center for Science Education” (NCSE) helps one understand the worldwide spread of pro-evolution and anti-creation propaganda that soon dominated the colleges, including Christian colleges. As Scott explains, the NCSE had to move every few years to larger facilities to deal with their growth, expanded activities, and growing influence.
Their one-quarter million active members and supporters indicates the level of their influence in the West. Through the influence of the NCSE, textbooks have been modified to include much more evolution dogma, and evolutionary claims have been put in every chapter instead of the last chapter."

But our star is constantly bombarding the solar system with vast amounts of energy and particles in the form of the solar wind. Sometimes, however, formidable eruptions on the Sun’s surface cause coronal mass ejections, or especially energetic floods of particles — including ions and electrons — that careen through the solar system at breakneck speeds.

When they reach Earth, these charged particles can interfere with satellites, and under extreme circumstances, take down power grids.
The new research suggests that particles from powerful eruptions like this — specifically, the positively charged ions — might be responsible for triggering groups of strong earthquakes.

Previous experiments have clearly shown that compressing quartz, a rock common in the Earth’s crust, can generate an electrical pulse through a process known as the piezoelectric effect.
The researchers think that such small pulses could destabilize faults that are already close to rupturing, triggering earthquakes.
In fact, signatures from electromagnetic events — such as earthquake lightning and radio waves — have been recorded occurring alongside earthquakes in the past. Some researchers think these events are caused by the earthquakes themselves. But several other studies have detected strong electromagnetic anomalies before large earthquakes, not after, so the exact nature of the relationship between earthquakes and electromagnetic events is still debated."
